“I’d leave 10 stars out of 5 if I could! Leanne was fantastic. I was really nervous to leave my senior dog with anyone. I never have, other than a family member. She provided excellent communication and pictures every few hours. I could tell from the pictures that Sugar was happy and not stressed, which was huge. I’m happy to have found her and will definitely use her again to come stay in our home to watch Sugar. Highly recommended, except for when I need her, I get first dibs! :D”

About: ◾️ When people ask if I'm a dog or a cat person, I say, "I'm an animal person!" I have a lifelong passion to care for nature and animals, whether cats, dogs, or other critter friends! I grew up with several pets who were part of the family, including a dog and four cats. Currently, I have a crested gecko named Savoovfy 🦎 and a mixed Jack Russell dog named Taro 🐶 , whom I adore. I'm also looking for a cat to adopt to join the crew soon! 🐈 ◾️ For many years now, I have been pet-sitting for family and friends. Last year I started pet-sitting professionally, and I have loved getting to meet so many incredible pets and spending time with them 😄 ◾️ I have had the joy of caring for a variety of pets of all ages, breeds, medication needs, and energy levels ⚡️, ranging from young to old, from chihuahuas to mastiffs to mixed dogs, from domestic shorthair cats to Maine Coons, and also including reptiles, birds, and fish. I truly look forward to every walk or jog, every drop-in, every moment with the pets. ◾️Outside of pet-sitting, I love hiking, photography, and art (often with my pup by my side! 📷🌳). Can't wait to meet your furbaby! 💕 ◾️ I am a full-time pet-sitter with flexible booking times, so I can accommodate a variety of times to best maintain your pet's/pets' routines! 🗓 ◾️ In-home pet care can work best for many pets, since they are in their most comfortable environment. I am happy to help care for your pet/pets in your home in the best way possible, depending on their needs and personality. I have fun taking dogs for short walks or for longer adventures 🌎, at a slow pace or jogging. I also always enjoy playing with dogs or cats 🎉, or just hanging out with them and checking on them if they're in a more chill mood. I walk dogs rain or shine and will dry their fur afterwards (as long as you and your pup are comfortable with the rain!) I always love getting to see multiple animals at once, and other cute critters like birds, rodents, reptiles, and fish are always welcome too! I am experienced in administering a variety of medications as well. ◾️ Boarding pets in someone else's home can be a great option as well in some cases. I am unable to offer boarding at this time since I live in a small apartment, but my dream is to board all the animals once I have a house with a backyard! 🏡
“Such a wonderful experience. Cheryl was friendly and professional. We felt extremely comfortable having her watch the house and taking care of our pets. Thank you again for everything.”

“Desiree was fantastic! She was professional, reliable, and communicated with us throughout our trip with frequent updates and lots of great pictures, which gave us real peace of mind. She also brought in our packages, kept our home exceptionally clean, and took wonderful care of our dogs. We came home to happy pups and a spotless house. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Desiree again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter.”

“Great sitter for my disabled dog. It is very difficult to find people willing to take on my blind toothless little poodle. Lee did and made her a part of the family. I did not have to worry at all.”

“We were very happy with the care Kat gave Harley. She kept us informed as how he was doing and sent pictures so we knew he was doing okay. We would recommend her to other potential pet parents.”

About: Hello. I am a lifelong dog owner and dog carer. I have owned a Brittany Spaniel, and a Shischon from puppy-stage through the end of their lives. Currently I care for a senior Lab and middle-aged German Shephard/Rotweiler mix, both belonging to my daughter who lives in Jacksonville with her husband and my 18-month old grand-son with another expected in November. I've been a Rover client and sitter off and on since 2018. I've not been active for almost 5 years during which time I've worked as a freelance researcher on almost a full-time basis. The demand for that work is shifting and I want to return to dog/house-sitting to supplement my income. I am comfortable walking, visiting and house-sitting small- and medium-size dogs, including senior dogs, and am experienced with giving medicine. I have a BS in Business Administration and 30+ years of work experience in the legal services industry. I am a mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. I love to walk outside, grill, and sit beside a fire. I'm an SEC fan, so fall is my favorite time of year! I want to acknowledge the one negative client review regarding a client's senior dog. I was hired for drop-in visits . I let time get away from me for two visits. One of the things that Rover does well is notify dog owners know when their sitter/carer is onsite. The owner notified me when I did not arrive within a reasonable time of the scheduled time and I immediately went to the client site. The dog was fine but the owner was obviously alarmed and terminated the relationship. I take full responsibility for those lapses and they will not happen again. I ask for the opportunity to meet you and your pet and discuss if this is a good fit for us all. Kind regards, Suzanne I am a freelance researcher and work remotely from home. I have full schedule flexibility enabling me to meet your pets' daily schedule for feeding and walks. I am able to be present in my client's home throughout the day and night, available to your pet(s) as needed. I enjoy taking them for walk, playing with them and cuddling with them. I'm generally good with letting them sleep with me, depending on their size and temperament.
“Marie was fantastic! Very attentive in advanced and ask lots of questions to provide the best care for my dog. She communicated consistently and without me requesting throughout her entire stay with him! I would highly recommend her and will absolutely use her again!”

About: I’ve spent my life around animals and have cared for dogs, cats, horses, and reptiles both personally and professionally. I have 8 years of hands-on experience as a veterinary technician and am currently a 4th-year veterinary student, with just 10 months until graduation. My experience includes general practice, urgent care, emergency medicine, shelter medicine, rescue work, and some exotic animal care. Over the years, I’ve cared for animals of all shapes, sizes, and personalities, including senior, anxious, reactive, special-needs, and medically complicated pets. I’m comfortable administering medications, including injections when needed, and have extensive experience recognizing changes in behavior or health that may indicate something is wrong. I also have a reactive bully breed of my own, so I understand firsthand that every dog has a unique personality and comfort level. I’m patient, attentive, and happy to work with each pet at their own pace. Whether your pet needs a fun walk, some extra playtime, medication, or simply some company while you’re away, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’m happy to provide dog walks, drop-in visits, and daytime pet sitting, including extended visits of an hour or two when your pet needs more attention. I’m also happy to make multiple visits throughout the day when needed. I do not currently offer overnight stays. As a 4th-year veterinary student, my schedule varies throughout the year, but I’m intentional about making time for pet care. I enjoy getting outside for dog walks and spending time with animals, so Rover is something I genuinely enjoy doing rather than simply fitting in when I have free time. I care for every pet according to their individual routine, personality, and needs. Before each booking, I like to learn about their normal feeding schedule, exercise routine, medications, favorite activities, and any behaviors or special considerations I should know about. During visits, I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, enrichment, and affection while keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible. I’m comfortable administering medications, including injections when needed, and my veterinary background allows me to be especially attentive to changes in behavior, appetite, or overall health. I’m happy to provide dog walks, drop-in visits, and extended daytime pet sitting, and I’m comfortable making multiple visits throughout the day when a pet needs more frequent care. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away. Most importantly, I treat every home and every pet with the same care and respect I would want for my own.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 642 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Pleasant Grove. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pleasant Grove walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pleasant Grove maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pleasant Grove choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pleasant Grove. On Rover:

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
