About: I have loved animals my whole life and have had many pets; dogs, cats, horses, birds, rabbits, sheep and more. I thoroughly enjoy being with animals, loving and caring for them. Some of my first jobs were at animal clinics, where I learned a lot about caring for animals. I was in FFA as a youth, where I raised and showed sheep, and where I also learned a lot. In my younger years I had many horses. I learned how to care for them, feeding, exercising, and cleaning up after them, etc! I learned responsibility, in addition to a deep love of animals. All of my experiences with my own animals, have made me a knowledgeable, responsible and compassionate animal care provider. I am currently semi-retired from working in the hospitality industry. I have plenty of time and I would thoroughly enjoy taking care of your beloved pets. I have an adorable mini schnauzer, Dudley, and a domestic short hair cat, Pete. I love them both so much and get so much enjoyment out of having and caring for them. We love cuddling, talking, and playing. I make sure they have the food, treats, exercise and attention they desire, and are well taken care of and will treat yours with the same love and respect that I show to my own pets.
“Sara is obviously great with animals and I’m so thankful she was able to watch my high energy dog on short notice. Perfect yard and she took him on walks during the day. Will definitely book again!”

“Sara was wonderful! Kind and warm-hearted. She eased my anxiety about leaving our new pup and took great care of Domingo. He loved playing with Shadow and his cuddle time with Sara. 100% recommend booking with Sara for anyone who wants their pup to have a lovely safe time!!!”

“My high-energy large Lab and Golden Retriever puppy had an amazing day with Michelle and her family on their farm, and came home tired and well-cared for ❤️. Hope they will be able to visit again soon! Thank you again!”
About: I have been a full-time puppy whelper for the past 8 years and come highly recommended with lots of references. I welcome all different breeds. I am always home. While I do have to pick up and drop off my children for their various sports and activities, it’s just a five minute drive away.I am always available. Plus, I’m attending school online from the comfort of my home. I live on 1 1/2 acres with a mini horse, two small goats that like to visit the neighbors and two potbelly pigs. Additionally I have two older French bulldogs who are house trained and very friendly, as well as two cane corsos who get along well with all animals including pony, goats, and pigs- they’re all pals! All of my animals are well-behaved , and I’ve often been told I should’ve been a vet or a dog trainer because of my love for animals. I have two separate backyards-one for the smaller dogs and one for the bigger ones. However I’m accustomed to rotating them due to my experience as a whelper. I know how to manage introducing new dogs and keeping them separate if needed. My dogs have access to indoors and outdoors, and they sleep in the house at night. I’ve set up set up my garage to be cozy and welcoming for dogs to stay in at night.
About: I have always had dogs/animals. We have 5 dogs of our own. We also foster with a local rescue. We specialize in the squish face breeds. We completely understand climate control. We love to exercise outside and go out often to romp. I am currently working remote part of the time (office days are Tues/Thurs). We typically always have someone home and the dogs are likely never alone for more than a 2-3 hour period. Our dogs are very friendly and love to play! We do not have a fenced yard, so our preference would be dogs that are not a flight risk! We can use a flexi leash for potty breaks but that would limit outside play for our guests. We live on 2.5 acres with a lot of grass to romp and play. Our dogs do not go outside unless supervised.
“We had to find a sitter for one day for Issa, our German Shepard. We were able to drop her off early and pick her up the same day. Elisabeth made the arrangements very accommodating. Our puppy played in the water and seemed to have had great day. We would love to have her watch Issa again.”

About: I’ve loved and cared for animals for as long as I can remember. My very first pet was my childhood cat, who I got when I was 2 years old and who lived with me for 17 wonderful years before crossing the rainbow bridge. I’ve always had a special connection with animals and a passion for caring for them. Over the years, I’ve gained experience caring for many different types of pets, including dogs, cats, birds, fish, and more. I currently have two Dobermans and a kitty of my own. I recently moved to a 2 acre property, which has been amazing for training and working with my dogs, they’re truly thriving with the space and lifestyle they deserve. To me, pets are family, and I always strive to give them the best care, attention, and love possible. I’ve also rescued and fostered kittens in need, helping them find safe and loving forever homes. Caring for animals genuinely brings me happiness, and having them in my life has always been incredibly fulfilling. I currently work part time and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time, attention, and care to your pets. Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine since I already care for my own animals every day. At my home, pets have access to a large, secure fenced yard for safe outdoor time and exercise. I also have spacious fenced in kennels available if needed for safety, rest time, or individual comfort. Pets are always supervised, given plenty of attention, and cared for in a clean, calm environment. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always respect their routines, instructions, and house rules to help pets feel comfortable and stress free in their familiar environment. I like to check in with pet parents often, sending pictures and updates to give them peace of mind while their pets are in my care.
“Elaine, treated Cruz like one of her own. She gave her lots of love and attention. Cruz had such a great time with her and her pups that she didn’t want to leave each day, and was ecstatic going back each morning. Elaine provided us with great pics and detailed updates. So thankful to know that Cruz had a wonderful week of daycare with her!!”

About: Your pups new bestie! I have had animals most of my life growing up since childhood and was raised with how to properly care for them. I also have a dog that I love so much! I thoroughly enjoy walks, runs, hikes, and playing with him. I am a big dog person! I currently work part time and am home most of the time. I’m usually home a lot as most of my work can be done from home. The flexibility is very nice and works perfectly with having dogs in our home! We currently have our own dog and so caring for yours will fit naturally into the flow we already have going! I have a fenced yard, where my pup and yours can play as much as they want! We have trails and parks near by for walks and runs, if you’d like for your pup to have exercise in those ways as well.
“Alexa was wonderful with our shy pup Ollie. She sent regular updates and photos throughout the day, which gave us such peace of mind. Ollie takes time to warm up to new people, and Alexa was incredibly patient and she let him come around on his own terms. We’re so grateful to have found someone we can trust with our little guy. Highly recommend Alexa!”

Let me help ease your mind, I promise to take wonderful care of your fur-babies! My man and I have three fantastic dogs. About: Served as a volunteer and foster parent for many rescued animals in Bali during the pandemic. My experience with animals is vast. Ive grown up with many different kinds of pets. Cats. Dogs. Birds. Reptiles. Rodents. Chickens. ducks. Donkeys. Horses. Pigs. Goats. You name it. I love all animals. I was raised in the foothills in the redwood forest. I’m a very down to earth and healthy lifestyle human who just loves fur babies of all types. I’m attentive and loving and playful with animals. I really need it as much as they do. I work early in the mornings off around 9am and then have most of the day to myself. It’s nice to have an excuse to take a dog on a walk or to lounge around with some kitty cuddles. Having animals in my home makes it feel more like a home. In my own home I will be in close proximity at all times and I will be home the entire time so I can sense when potty breaks or walks are needed. I really enjoy taking walks myself so it’s a perfect fit to have dogs over. Cats are similar with the exception of walks unless you want to leash train them or already have. I love to keep an eye on them so they don’t hurt themselves and I give lots of play time.
About: I’ve been caring for pets for over 10 years — ever since I was 12! What started as helping friends, family, and neighbors has grown into 5 years of professional pet sitting experience. I’ve worked with dogs of all breeds and temperaments, and I always make sure they feel safe, loved, and part of the family. I’m very active and love taking pups on long walks or hikes to keep them happy and healthy! I recently graduated from UCLA and am currently back home completing my graduate program pre-requirements. I also play for the Sierra College Women’s Basketball team, which means I’m at practice for about three hours on weekday afternoons. I’m a great fit for pups who are comfortable being alone for a few hours during that time — outside of practice, my full attention goes to caring for your dog and keeping them happy and on routine! When providing in-home care, I focus on maintaining your pet’s normal routine and environment to reduce stress. I prioritize safety at all times and make sure your home is secure during my stay. I communicate regularly with updates and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away, and I’m happy to reinforce any training or specific care instructions you provide.
“We met Irina for the first time and she watched our pup, Toby, for the day. She was super kind and communicative, and shared photos of him making friends with other dogs, which we really appreciated. Toby had a great time, and we felt totally comfortable leaving him in her care. I highly recommend her services!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Placerville
We were in Placerville to attend a friend’s memorial service and had no where to leave Dash. When we found Sara on Rover, we hit the jackpot! Sara has the most wonderful property to give your dog the play time that they will love. I knew that Dash was having the best time ever, from the photos, and the videos that Sara would send me. This was all confirmed by Dash, for when we got back to our hotel, he conked out for the rest of the night. Sara is a dog loving professional and I do not hesitant in recommending her services!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
