Well guess what, I can guarantee that your pet will be left in safe, loving arms.

I am willing to travel as far as you need to make sure you have no worries while you’re gone. I live on 5 acres of fenced in yard to have plenty of space for your fur babies. I also have two sweet pups if your puppy wants friends. I have the ability to crate your babies if you prefer that aswell.

“We were visiting family in Sarasota and last minute needed a dog walker for the day. Christine was available the night before and walked our dog twice for us while we were gone all day. She sent us photos of both walks which was great. Highly recommend and will use her again if we are back in Sarasota with our dog!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life. All sizes and breeds. I’ve taken dog training classes for my own personal pets. I’ve been caring for friends and neighbors dogs my whole adult life. I’m currently a driver that makes my own schedule so I am available to fit in your schedule for caring for your pet. I’m very energetic to keep up with your pet! I am very centrally located in the Charlotte county. Easy to reach and be available for when your pet needs attention. Always have a positive attitude even with the more difficult breeds.
“Haley was absolutely wonderful! She was punctual, friendly, trustworthy, and kind to my dog. She always took him for the full amount of walk time and was great about letting me know if he went to the bathroom. I would highly recommend her!”

About: What sets me apart is the deep-rooted experience and love I have for animals. I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 9 years old, from walking neighborhood pups to helping with family pets. I’ve also fostered dogs, which taught me how to care for animals with a wide range of personalities and needs—from playful puppies to more reserved or nervous dogs. Whether your pet needs high-energy playtime or extra patience and comfort, I provide care that’s attentive, loving, and tailored to them. You can count on me to treat your pet like family and keep you updated every step of the way. I'm currently working a full time internship, 9-5 pm during the weekdays. I'm available after 5pm for evening care/walks, and have more availability on the weekends! In my home or yours, I focus on creating a calm, safe, and fun environment where pets feel comfortable and loved. I stick closely to their normal routines—mealtimes, walk schedules, playtime, and any special care instructions—so they feel secure even when their humans are away. Whether it's keeping things tidy, giving lots of affection, or making sure they get plenty of exercise, I’m all about giving personalized care that matches each pet’s needs. Communication is important to me too, so I always keep owners updated with messages and photos!
About: Hello animal enthusiasts! My name is Katie and I have worked with animals in a multitude of settings. Jane Goodall (Primatologist) was always an idol of mine. As I grew up in a household loving my dogs, cats, and birds I envisioned working in Africa with chimpanzees. While my vision didn't manifest exactly the way I had fathomed, I still ended up working with baboons in Africa (2017). Along the way, I was an outdoor educator for several years working with all sorts of reptiles, amphibians, birds, mammals, and invertebrates. I have been attracted to all types of animals since the day I was born. As a science teacher (8 years), I kept corals and saved many animals in the outdoor environment near our school (from squirrels to birds and much more). My husband and I have just moved from Chicago, IL to Florida. We have a love for adventure and curiosity for the great outdoors. We are happily married with our Cockatiel (Sunny) and Umbrella Cockatoo (Jack). I can't wait to meet you and love your pets for eternity! Along with my elementary education degree, I studied zoology. So, with that being stated, I'm here in Florida ready to meet new people, love your pets, teach, adventure, and learn all about Florida ecology! Let's connect! I'm currently reinventing my life/schedule after just recently moving from Chicago, IL this year and leaving my middle school science teaching position. I plan on working for a nature center and substitute teaching while I continue improving my writing career. As of right now, I have an open schedule until the end of August. I will be changing my availability in September. Currently, we do not have a fenced in yard for your pet but I can surely take him/her out with their leash in our vast open space! If your dog loves the hose, we have access to this as well. Who doesn't love a nice spray during the hot summer? Your pet will have 24 hour access to this yard, cozy home, and the couch or bed! We live about 5 minutes from the Audubon Pennington Park where we love to take nature walks. I'm sure your dog wouldn't mind a nature walk too! We truly do enjoy hosting neighborhood pets as one of our very own family members. Your pet will receive unconditional love, constant cuddles, outdoor time, and food/water the way you prefer it! At night time, they can choose from our warm bed or their very own cozy dog bed. Your pet is top priority and we want to provide the best experience for them so that they are happy to come back and play! With that being said, I would love to work with you to provide whatever it is you and your pet need. Thanks and can't wait to touch base!

About: Hello! My name is Stephanie and I have been a Rover pet sitter for a couple years now (on and off). I LOVE animals and have many of my own. Please reach out if you have any questions! Thank you! I currently work full time but can make drop in visits to make sure pups get a potty break. I am also available for daily walks and snuggles. During drop in visits I will make sure your furbaby is able to use the bathroom, play, and get some belly rubs. Pets will have love and attention while I care for them.
About: Hello! I’m Sue, and I’m excited to offer dog walking and drop-in sitting services for your pets. As someone who has had dogs and cats all my life, I bring a lifetime of experience caring for pets, both my own and others’. I currently live with a lovable crew that includes a Maine Coon mix cat, three dogs (a Tennessee Walker Hound, Chihuahua terrier mix, and dachshund mix), plus a few goats and chickens. In addition to dogs and cats, I’ve provided drop-in care for birds, goats, and chickens, so I’m comfortable with a variety of animals. I also have experience giving medications to dogs, and I’ve given pills to both dogs and my own cat, especially since my dog has health issues that require regular medication. I am committed to keeping clear and consistent communication with pet owners, ensuring you’re updated throughout my visits. I also ask that you do the same in the event there is a question of care, or in the off chance of an emergency. With my own transportation and a flexible schedule, I’m ready to accommodate your pet care needs and provide peace of mind while you’re away. Whether it’s walking, feeding, or just drop-in visits, I’ll make sure your pets are well taken care of! Looking forward to meeting you and your furry (or feathered) friends. I do have a small farm to tend to, but am flexible and able to easily fit it around pet sitting. I can care for your pets daily, but holidays are very busy. Because I have a household of pets of my own, I am not able to care for clients pets in my own home at this time. I offer dog walking in 30 minute increments, drop in visits to check on, feed, dispense meds, tend to cats.

About: Your Pet's Home Away From Home with a Lifetime Animal Enthusiast I'd be honored to welcome your beloved pets into my home! My life has been devoted to animals, starting on a ranch where I gained hands-on experience with everything from horses, dogs, and cats to chickens and beyond. As a retired horse trainer and long-time dog breeder, I bring a wealth of knowledge in animal health, behavior, and communication. I've personally trained service dogs for mobility, and I'm passionate about helping dogs overcome behavioral challenges. With your permission, I can address specific training needs your dog might have, such as potty training, leash manners, or breaking other bad habits, ensuring their time with me is both enjoyable and productive. Rest assured, your pets will be treated as cherished members of my family during their stay. Our home is a calm, adult-only environment, providing a peaceful and safe space for your companions. I'm available at anytime to make sure your pet is well taken care of. I have dedicated my life to animals and I love it. With many years of dedicated experience across a diverse range of animals, I offer exceptional pet care grounded in health, compassion, and understanding. My extensive background includes not only general animal well-being but also specialized expertise in handling animals with specific needs and successfully training dogs and other animals through positive methods. We do not have any small children or any children. Just adults that love animals. I'm committed to ensuring every pet under my care feels loved, safe, and comfortable. My flexible availability means I can accommodate your pets' schedules and individual requirements at any time. For larger companions, I also have several giant crates to ensure their comfort if needed. Dogs will be crated at night only if they need to be. If your dog is potty trained and can be trusted being loose in a house overnight then they will not be crated unless the pet owner wants them to be crated. Pets always have fresh water and are fed as scheduled by the pet owner. We do board cats and they are kept in a seprate area of our home. We have a very large lani and pool. Your pets will never be unsupervised when they are in our pool area. I have a very large screened in lani that the dogs can run and play in. I do have a small fenced area for little dogs. I do not leave the dogs outside unattended due to risk of over heating, escaping, cane toads, poisonous snakes and fire ants. I walk the dogs as many times as they need to, to go potty. I've been told by multiple pet parents that other sitters just put their dogs out in a yard unsupervised and their dogs were attacked by other dogs. I'm always supervising your dogs.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
