As someone who has had dogs and cats all my life, I bring a lifetime of experience caring for pets, both my own and others’. I currently live with a lovable crew that includes a Maine Coon mix cat, three dogs (a Tennessee Walker Hound, Chihuahua terrier mix, and dachshund mix), plus a few goats and chickens. In addition to dogs and cats, I’ve provided drop-in care for birds, goats, and chickens, so I’m comfortable with a variety of animals. I also have experience giving medications to dogs, and I’ve given pills to both dogs and my own cat, especially since my dog has health issues that require regular medication. I am committed to keeping clear and consistent communication with pet owners, ensuring you’re updated throughout my visits. I also ask that you do the same in the event there is a question of care, or in the off chance of an emergency. With my own transportation and a flexible schedule, I’m ready to accommodate your pet care needs and provide peace of mind while you’re away. My current occupation is as a Flight Instructor, so I have a very flexible schedule (since I make my own schedules). About: Hello animal enthusiasts! My name is Katie and I have worked with animals in a multitude of settings. Jane Goodall (Primatologist) was always an idol of mine. As I grew up in a household loving my dogs, cats, and birds I envisioned working in Africa with chimpanzees. While my vision didn't manifest exactly the way I had fathomed, I still ended up working with baboons in Africa (2017). Along the way, I was an outdoor educator for several years working with all sorts of reptiles, amphibians, birds, mammals, and invertebrates. I have been attracted to all types of animals since the day I was born. As a science teacher (8 years), I kept corals and saved many animals in the outdoor environment near our school (from squirrels to birds and much more). My husband and I have just moved from Chicago, IL to Florida. We have a love for adventure and curiosity for the great outdoors. We are happily married with our Cockatiel (Sunny) and Umbrella Cockatoo (Jack). I can't wait to meet you and love your pets for eternity! Along with my elementary education degree, I studied zoology. So, with that being stated, I'm here in Florida ready to meet new people, love your pets, teach, adventure, and learn all about Florida ecology! Let's connect! I'm currently reinventing my life/schedule after just recently moving from Chicago, IL this year and leaving my middle school science teaching position. I will be changing my availability in September. Currently, we do not have a fenced in yard for your pet but I can surely take him/her out with their leash in our vast open space! If your dog loves the hose, we have access to this as well. Who doesn't love a nice spray during the hot summer? Your pet will have 24 hour access to this yard, cozy home, and the couch or bed! We live about 5 minutes from the Audubon Pennington Park where we love to take nature walks. I'm sure your dog wouldn't mind a nature walk too! We truly do enjoy hosting neighborhood pets as one of our very own family members. Your pet will receive unconditional love, constant cuddles, outdoor time, and food/water the way you prefer it! At night time, they can choose from our warm bed or their very own cozy dog bed. Your pet is top priority and we want to provide the best experience for them so that they are happy to come back and play! For larger companions, I also have several giant crates to ensure their comfort if needed. Dogs will be crated at night only if they need to be. If your dog is potty trained and can be trusted being loose in a house overnight then they will not be crated unless the pet owner wants them to be crated. Pets always have fresh water and are fed as scheduled by the pet owner. We do board cats and they are kept in a seprate area of our home. We have a very large lani and pool. Your pets will never be unsupervised when they are in our pool area. I have a very large screened in lani that the dogs can run and play in. I do have a small fenced area for little dogs. I do not leave the dogs outside unattended due to risk of over heating, escaping, cane toads, poisonous snakes and fire ants. I walk the dogs as many times as they need to, to go potty. I've been told by multiple pet parents that other sitters just put their dogs out in a yard unsupervised and their dogs were attacked by other dogs. I'm always supervising your dogs.

About: I've taken care and owned multiple types of dogs and cats. I have watched pets during the day and over night. I love meeting new dogs and cats. I work part time so that means I am available during different parts of the day and night. I am willing to do over nights. When I am watching pets in different clients home, I will make sure nothing in the house is damaged. I will not touch anything I don't have to. I will walk or let out pets. I will feed and water them. I will also take care of any extra needs that the pets have.

About: I’m a huge dog and cat lover... I’ve been raised around pets my whole life. But aside from that, I’ve been pet sitting for a couple of years. I know how to administer most medications but am willing to learn any different type of medication that I may not be familiar with. I currently have a 2 year old and I’m a stay at home mom. But I’m available everyday to take care of your fur babies. I live in a duplex and have a very spacious backyard for your fur baby to play in. And I also have a very comfy bed to cuddle with your baby while you are away:)

About: From a teacup poodle to a big mastiff, I've had pets of various sizes. I've pet-sit (or "cat-sat"), my friends and families pets whenever they needed so I'd be happy to do that as well. I'm also no stranger to helping feed pets their nasty medicine as well. I'm currently looking for a job as I've just moved down here!
