I’m currently working part time as a babysitter so my schedule is quite flexible. Tuesdays are taken up but outside of that I’m very flexible! I have a dog friendly home with an open back yard. All dogs will be leashed at all times whether in your home or mine. Dogs in my home are dog friendly as well!

About: I’ve been involved in pet care the entirety of my adulthood. From big sled dogs to frenchies and more, I’ve played along with more than I can say. Experienced specifically with large breed dogs and small to medium reactive dogs. I work almost full time at a local doggy daycare. If your pet is a client there I’m happy to be flexible about drop off and pick up from there. I have varying flexibility throughout the week. Friday is the day I’m least available. I offer primarily drop in visits and walks. Well mannered dogs may walk with myself and my friendly, female dog. Others may get a little more one on one time if uncomfortable with other dogs.

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Over the years, I've been lucky to parent dogs, cats, and horses, including two retired racing Greyhounds and a tuxedo cat who made me a certified cat person. Beyond my own, I've been caring for pets professionally (i.e., beyond friends and family) for more than 15 years, and after taking some time away while completing my PhD and living abroad, I'm excited to be back doing something I've always loved. In 2011, I started walking pups professionally in Chicago as a side gig during my breaks from tour managing for a band, which quickly turned into my dog-walking clients asking me to stay in their home with their pets while they were away. Over the span of just a few years, I built relationships with more than 30 clients, with most of them turning into repeat (and repeat and repeat!) clients. I've cared for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, from tiny Yorkies to Great Danes and everything in between. I've also worked with many pets that required extra patience or specialized care. I've cared for senior pets, dogs < 1yo, a blind Australian Cattle Dog, a deaf cat, highly anxious and stranger-wary dogs, VERY stranger-wary cats, a Beagle with a seizure disorder, and pets receiving medication. I've also been the go-to sitter for a couple of families going through difficult times with their critters, including caring for their pets with terminal illnesses during their final days (both a black lab named Maggie and the sweetest deaf black cat named Sam) . Over the years, I've handled a few very unexpected situations as well. Whether it's a medical event requiring an unexpected trip to the veterinarian or even arriving to a cat drop-in visit to find that the apartment had experienced a break-in (in my Chicago days, which included working with police and gathering the terrified cats from the apartment stairwell), I've stayed calm, communicated clearly, and focused on keeping the critters safe and the clients informed. There have also been several occasions where I've extended my stay last-minute due to a client's canceled flight or interrupted travel plans. One of the biggest differences between my prior pet sitting days and now is my flexibility due to my remote work. When I pet sat extensively throughout Chicago, my tour managing days had ended and I worked a full-time 9-5 downtown. This was fine for my clients, as they had a similar schedule. But I now work fully remotely, so I have a highly flexible schedule that allows me to spend much more time with your pets throughout the day than I could years ago. I essentially do my best to work around your pet's normal routine. I'm happy to accommodate early mornings, evenings, or midday visits whenever possible. My goal is to make life feel as normal and stress-free as possible for your pets while you're away. When I'm in your home, I treat it with the same respect I'd expect someone to show mine, as I've also hired pet sitters over the years for my own critters. I follow your instructions (the more the better!), keep you updated with photos (lots!) and messages, and make sure your pets receive the same routines, rules, and attention they're used to (e.g., their feeding schedules, medications, favorite walking routes, cuddle time, or simply keeping them company).

About: One of my greatest joys is seeing happy dogs with big smiles and full body wags. I understand the stress and anxiety that comes with leaving your fur babies at home while being away and I would love to be there comfort while you are gone!! I have experience with all different breeds, sizes, temperaments, and ages! I have had my own dogs from the beginning fun puppy stages, to the softness of there senior years, and held them in my arms on their final journey. I am more than capable of giving liquid or oral medication, following special dietary needs, or noticing any pain/ discomfort your fur babies need. I also have experience with giving shots, ear and eye drops, wound care, and mobility help as I have had special needs dogs. I’m currently full time pet care, and house sitting. My schedule is readily available and completely open to assist with overnight stays, walking, hiking, playing, and cuddles! I will follow any specific directives given, as I know the stress and heartache of being separated from each other. I understand the importance of routine in an animals life. Currently I have two fur babies and know structure and consistency is key. As well as an abundance of love and quality time with each other. My dogs are truly my best friends and I look forward to loving yours as my own.

About: I have experience with just about every type of pet regardless of age. I have experience with kittens and puppies as well as rescues with high care needs as well as their medication schedules. I began pet sitting when I was very young and have always loved it. I have special experience with caring for dogs with trauma and special situations. It is my privilege to meet those needs. I am available every weekday before 8:45 and every weeknight after 5pm. On weekends I have full day availability on Saturday and Sunday. Currently I am a happy lover of my two dogs and cats at home and my cat Tonka Truck. I usually begin my day with feeding and letting them out and repeat that after shifts. Apart from the usual litter box changes and feeding, it’s necessary to give my older dog medication in the middle of the day. These routines fit well in my life. I care for pets with a high degree of input from clients. While I do have a lot of experience with pet care, it is ultimately your baby and you know your pet best. Any suggestions, rules, and schedules are my privilege to abide by. I cannot care for pets in my own home due to the trauma needs of my own pets, but I am very conscious of house preferences and pet needs in clients’ homes. I am flexible with play schedules and meal times and have become efficient at administering medication from experience with my own dogs. I am also able to meet any sanitation and safety preferences during this time.

About: I have 5 dogs of my own, ranging from a cattle dog to a pitbull.I have no problem taking care of any type of animal and I have experience in all fields of care, including bathing, walking, nail-trimming, and more. I’m free from 6am-11pm on weekdays! I do work full-time but my boss is lenient and he’d have no problem with me tending to your furry friends! I personally have 5 dogs in a non-fenced in yard but they are all very well trained. I would prefer to keep your animals in the comfort of their own home though due to my dogs being very playful, if your dogs are comfortable being in a high-energy setting it would be no problem but they don’t need added stress from my rowdy bunch.

I also housesat and petsat for a family with a large Weimaraner who had special needs (nervous problems especially) in Kalamazoo, Michigan that I had to be extra sensitive and mindful to. (Each of these families both kept me on for multiple years, depending on my location at the time.) CATS (very experienced and skilled with cats - my knowledge of them is above and beyond, as I have 2 of my own myself, both rescues.) (2) Rabbits - one was my roommates; the other belongs to a very close friend and her Husband. I am experienced feeding them and I have knowledge of their temperaments and needs. Reptile experience: 2 Snakes (I am not comfortable feeding them mice, however, sorry about that, but I am experienced with humidifying their environments and checking up on them - fearlessly!) Please just ask me! :) My Mom passed away last summer and I decided to move back home to Michigan and take a year off to tend to my Father, being that I’m an only child and he’s my only family left. I am grateful to be back home in Michigan, and I’d like to utilize my free time wisely - pet sitting / house sitting / spending time with animals brings me peace and joy! My career consisted of a tremendous amount of safety and security tasks. I am a reputable individual with drive and passion and I love connecting with people. If you are not in Kalamazooo, I am more than willing to travel to you for a small fee, depending how far it takes for me to drive to you. I want you to be at comfort and ease while you’re away, so I always ask for a little note about your expectations of me, your pet(s) feeding schedule, walking schedule and typical routes, what is ok/not ok in regards to (being on the furniture, offering treats, jumping on people - I don’t mind being jumped on at all by a cute dog, but if that’s something you’re trying to train your dog NOT to do, please note that, for example, so I can contribute to your training rather than mess it up. My home is open to dogs (only one at a time) who are OK being around my cat, Oliver. He has been acclimated with dogs.. and I would typically keep them separated if you want me to watch them in my home. I have an apartment, and we have a nice dog park.. but do keep in mind; I might have to fluctuate your fees depending on what adjustments I may need to make to my home or lifestyle to accommodate your pet in my home temporarily! In your home, I am very respectable and trustworthy (with plenty of references so you feel comfortable). I don’t mind doing light cleaning while I am in your space, I always clean up after myself and your pet while you are away. Again, any expectations of me? Just inform me! :)
