About: I’ve been caring for animals for years everything from energetic puppies to gentle seniors. Whether it’s a long walk, a quick drop-in, or cuddles and feeding time, I treat every pet like my own. I understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, happy, and cared for while you’re in need Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine! I start most mornings with a workout or walk, so adding pet walks or drop-ins during the day fits perfectly. My work schedule is flexible, which allows me to check in on pets throughout the day and evening. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. When caring for pets in your home, I follow your routines closely feeding schedules, walk routes, and house rules to make sure your pet feels secure and stress free. I take time to earn their trust with calm energy, patience, and plenty of affection.

About: Walk time, play time, and snuggle time are all big parts of owning and loving a dog, and happen to be 3 of my favorite things. My 6 year old coonhound mix Wilbur loves to play tug and chase with his neighbors & BFFs, Lily, Chase, and Stitch, and would love to meet your pet if you'd like! Not every dog wants play, some need one on one time. I'm here because I love dogs and am in tune with their needs. I pay attention to what they are trying to tell me. I've grown up with dogs my entire life, from mutts to Cairn Terriers to Beagles to Pibulls to St. Bernards, and have yet to find a dog that doesn't like me. Even when their owner said they wouldn't. Even better than that, dogs listen to me inherently and when I come upon a stubborn pup, I know that patience and positive rewards trump everything! Wilbur's BFF Beau was a rescue from animal torturous testing and had many special needs. He was also a flight risk. I dog sat Beau and Lily for 7 years and have learned to never underestimate a Beagle's brain, they will not hesitate to outsmart you. Currently Lily is 16 and gets a special diet along with meds. Wilbur grew up with her since he was 3.5 months old, so I have experience with puppies as well as senior pups who need attentive care. Thank you and I look forward to adding your pup to my 4-legged friend list! I'm currently working part time, so your pet will easily fit into my schedule. My hours are flexible and my car is reliable, ready to transport a new friend! I have a fenced in yard and gated wrap around porch, as well as 2 beagles (ages 4 6), a small supermutt (age 16), and a medium sized Wilbur (age 6). At your home harnesses and leashes will always be on before any doors are opened. I can crate your dog as well, if you prefer that.

About: Hey there! My name is Emily and I am a recent grad who has moved back to the area. I have always been an animal lover, and during grad school, I was able to broaden my animal care experiences! I am a dog mom to a German Shepherd named Gemma. She is a rescue and dog-reactive (but loves all people!), so I have extensive experience with walking and handling reactive dogs! Rest assured, when I care for your pets, Gemma will NOT be present. I was an avid foster and volunteer while in grad school for organizations such as Big Paws of the Ozarks, Fayetteville Animal Services, and Best Friends Resource Center. We have had fosters of a variety of ages and breeds. Additionally, I spent most of my Saturdays at the local farmers market with an adoptable shelter pup working on socialization and leash skills with fellow volunteers. Lastly, before moving, I was also a part-time employee at a pet resort that offered daycare, boarding, and grooming services. Hereto, I was able to care for even more dogs (and even some cats!). I am passionate about animal care and would love to take care of your pets, whether it be for walks, check-ins, or house sitting. Please feel free to reach out with any questions. I am happy to chat :) I am currently located around the 19464/19343 area. Note: I am able to do check-in visits for cats and hang out for a bit, but cannot house sit because I am allergic. As a recent grad on the job market, I have a ton of free time to take care of your pets! Whether it be morning, midday, or evening walks or check-ins, I’m your gal! In your home, whether it be for a walk, check-in, or housesitting, I am happy to follow any rules that you have in mind! Since I am used to walking a reactive dog, I am extremely observant on walks for anything that might trigger a reaction.

About: I absolutely love dogs and cats and am ready to take care of your pets! I grew up with two shih tzu's and can't remember a time without them. My family recently got a new dog, Ollie, so I have experience with puppies as well. I have been pet sitting on ........ for a while to give myself the ability to travel! I've used that to travel to Nashville, DC, NJ, and I can provide reviews from that profile as well. I'm looking to do some more pet sitting in my area as I work 100% remotely and have a lot of flexibility during the day. I'm very comfortable around animals of all kinds and I will make sure your baby will be well taken care of. A little bit more about me is that I love to have a lot of hobbies! The ones that take up most of my time lately are country line dancing, swing dancing, and paddleboarding. I work remotely so I am very available during the day! If pet sitting at your home, your pet will become my coworker and may appear in one or two of my meetings throughout the day. Because of my job I am very flexible with my schedule and can make sure you and your pet's needs are taken care of! I have experience pet sitting in other's homes for a while now and have used it to travel to new places! I'm very comfortable in someone else's home, learning the pet's needs and schedule, and making sure they are comfortable in their own environment.

Lucilla was a pleasure to work with. She was flexible and courteous with us, but more importantly she made our nervous and strong-willed dogs feel at ease. She has a calm confidence that dogs will really align with. We look forward to using her to care for our fur babies in the future and would highly recommend her.

FAQs for House Sitting - Phillipsville

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Phillipsville on Rover is $38.85 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 3,778 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Phillipsville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Phillipsville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Phillipsville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Phillipsville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Phillipsville. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
