“Absolutely amazing! I can always rely on Dawn for the very best care of my dog while I’m at work. I feel extremely comfortable and confident in her care. Reina adores Dawn! I could not have asked for a better, more caring woman to care for my dog.”

About: I have over 30 years of experience with pets of all kinds from chickens to rabbits to dog and cats and from babies to senior pets. Not only have I had my own pets throughout my life but also have taken care of many family and friends as well. I love every pet like my own! I work remotely 100% of the week. It gives me flexibility for pet care as well as loads of time for attention, play and walks.. I am available for drop ins only at this time. But my flexible remote work schedule allows for plenty of time for loads of attention, play, walks, and potty breaks. I will provide exactly the amount of love and care your pets are used to…and then some!
About: I am a reliable and compassionate dog sitter/walker with a very flexible schedule. I have worked with all kinds of pets, from Shih tzsus to German Shepherds, as well as puppies, senior dogs, and cats. I believe dogs enjoy my calm yet present presence. I am an online college student and have a very flexible schedule right now for house sitting, walks or check-ins. I would love to take care of your dogs or cats! Whether caring for pets in your home or mine, I prioritize their comfort and well being. I follow each pet's regular routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, litter box cleaning, and any special care instructions. I have experience with both dogs and cats of various ages, sizes, and energy levels, from puppies and kittens to senior pets. I also enjoy cozying up with pets during quiet downtime and playing calm music to help create a relaxing atmosphere. My goal is to provide a calm, caring environment where pets feel comfortable while their owners are away, and I am happy to provide regular updates for peace of mind. I am also respectful of clients' homes, keeping spaces clean and tidy and leaving everything as I found it.
About: I have worked with a lot of high energy dogs so I understand and am willing to do the work that is needed for them. I have also worked with dogs that have had traumatic pasts and have spent time working with them to trust their environment and other people. I am a teacher so I have summers off and weekends free. I am also free after school for those last minute date nights and outings. I have two high energy black labs so I am used to dogs that need long walks and lots of stimulation. I am very comfortable around big dogs as mine are both 80 lbs. I prioritize trust and comfort for the dogs I care for. I work to build a strong bond with dogs I work with in order for both of us to have a good time.
About: I’m very responsible and also very active so if your dog needs a walk then that’s no worry for me! I’m very experienced with a dog of my own and my other family members dogs. I’m young so I have the energy that is needed for dog walking, whether it’s just 30min or a full hour! My only other job is babysitting, so I have quite a bit of free time! I’m very active so any opportunity to take a dog for a walk fits perfectly into my day. I never let my dog out of sight when using the bathroom, he is well trained so he doesn’t need a leash but because he is small you always have to keep an eye out for an eagle! I change the water in my dogs bowl everyday and feed him twice a day (plus a treat 😊) I also make sure to give my dog exercise, for the benefit of his health and to burn some energy.

I’m currently working part-time at LTBHS. And I am going to school for Zoology! I would love as much experience with animals as I can get! I only work two days a week, so I have a very open schedule to work with! I have lots of experience in cleanliness of animals. As working at the shelter has given me hours upon hours of cleaning experience. I follow directions extremely well and take everything seriously. I understand these animals are your children and will always treat them like my own. I have experience in different temperaments and know how to safely handle them! About: Hey guys! I'm just a Midwest girl living in my Midwest world! I have the typical Veteran husband and one of our three kids still living at home! We have a 7 pound Chihuahua and two kittens who are the current rulers of the home. I bring a professional, hands-on background to every dog I care for, shaped by my experience supporting K9 work in the military and training dogs across a wide range of needs. From guiding young puppies through early obedience and socialization to reinforcing structure and confidence in adult dogs, I focus on calm, consistent, and respectful handling. My approach blends proven training principles with genuine affection—clear communication, routine, and trust, paired with plenty of attention and care. On our private 20-acre property, dogs have the space to decompress, explore safely, and enjoy a peaceful environment while still receiving individualized guidance and close supervision. While we do have 20 acres that we can walk through we also have a fenced in area and GPS Fence collars for your dog to use. Depending on the training your dog has been through we can work with you to see what fits best. I am a full time mom who homeschools her kid. My husband is home part time so most of the time we are home if not pup will be crated. I have a fenced in yard and a pet safe GPS collar for the pups. So no matter what the pup will be secured. There is no gate to leave the fenced in area so to leave you have to go through the house.
About: I've taken care of dogs, cats, birds, and all sorts of animals since I was a kid. Once I turned 16, I started housesitting and taking care of others' dogs and cats. In the last couple years I've moved out to a farm with my boyfriend where we take care of lots of different farm animals. There is cats and a dog that live in a different house on the property and all farm animals are fenced in. Your pets can interact or be kept very far away from the farm animals. Living on 200 acres, I have lots of space to accommodate to your needs. I am free everyday except Monday and Wednesday. I am searching for a new job but until then I can do anytime on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. All farm animals are kept in by fences, but we do not have any fenced in area for dogs. There is lots of yard and trails for leashed walks. If your pet comes when called, I can watch them while they explore the big back yard. Our home is a one bedroom and the cats and dog do not live with us. My boyfriend's parents live on the property and keep them inside there most of the time. It is up to you if you want them to interact with your pets or not.

So thankful that Christine was able to walk Franny for us today on such short notice. They were so easy to work with and did a wonderful job with her. I highly recommend hiring Christine and her husband to care for your pup. They even offered to come back if our day trip took longer than expected

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
