About: Hey guys! I'm just a Midwest girl living in my Midwest world! I have the typical Veteran husband and one of our three kids still living at home! We have a 7 pound Chihuahua and two kittens who are the current rulers of the home. I bring a professional, hands-on background to every dog I care for, shaped by my experience supporting K9 work in the military and training dogs across a wide range of needs. From guiding young puppies through early obedience and socialization to reinforcing structure and confidence in adult dogs, I focus on calm, consistent, and respectful handling. My approach blends proven training principles with genuine affection—clear communication, routine, and trust, paired with plenty of attention and care. On our private 20-acre property, dogs have the space to decompress, explore safely, and enjoy a peaceful environment while still receiving individualized guidance and close supervision. While we do have 20 acres that we can walk through we also have a fenced in area and GPS Fence collars for your dog to use. Depending on the training your dog has been through we can work with you to see what fits best. I am a full time mom who homeschools her kid. My husband is home part time so most of the time we are home if not pup will be crated. I have a fenced in yard and a pet safe GPS collar for the pups. So no matter what the pup will be secured. There is no gate to leave the fenced in area so to leave you have to go through the house.
“Madison was great with watching honeybee. I got constant updates which I loved since I am an overprotective dog mom. Bee came home very tired from her vacation which was great.”

About: I’ve taken care of people’s pets for over 15 years. Dog sitting, long-term pet sitting, walking, bathing, swimming. Love to take spoil pets and take them on adventures or simply walk them in the neighborhood. I am currently taking all times and dates. Little notice required if I am available. Any time any date I am here to care for your pet when you can’t. I unfortunately can’t take pets in my home due to my cat who doesn’t share my love for dogs. In your home I will care for your dog as you do. Clients have told me their dog is depressed after leaving me! Bittersweet.
About: I have over 30 years of experience with pets of all kinds from chickens to rabbits to dog and cats and from babies to senior pets. Not only have I had my own pets throughout my life but also have taken care of many family and friends as well. I love every pet like my own! I work remotely 100% of the week. It gives me flexibility for pet care as well as loads of time for attention, play and walks.. I am available for drop ins only at this time. But my flexible remote work schedule allows for plenty of time for loads of attention, play, walks, and potty breaks. I will provide exactly the amount of love and care your pets are used to…and then some!

About: I understand that every cat has unique needs, and I strive to create a calm, comfortable environment while their owners are away. I also provide regular updates so owners can feel confident that their pets are safe and well cared for.
“We really appreciated working with Lauren! She was easy to communicate with, sent us pictures of our pets while we were gone, and made us feel really confident that they were being taken care of well. I highly recommend working with her.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my entire life. I grew up with a husky and German shepherds. I can handle most to all pet personalities and love forming unique bonds to keep them relaxed and comfortable while you are away. I work from home so including your fur baby into my day and working around any special needs they may require will not be an issue Plenty of land for proper exercise and play, empty hardwood bedroom to keep pet structured but they will have free access to my entire home, which will be clean and free of any potential hazards.

About: I currently work at Little Traverse Bat Humane Society where I am an animal caregiver! I work alongside cats and dogs, but I spend a lot of time with cats! I have grown up with cats all of my life. I currently have one cat named Charlie. He is the light of my life.
About: With two years of hands-on experience working in a dog daycare boarding facility, followed by a year at a groomers your pets are in very safe hands! With a flexible schedule that allows me to tailor my services to meet the specific needs of each pet, I pride myself on creating a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment for your beloved pets. Your furry friends are in good hands with me!
“This was our second time having Dawn do drop in visits with our cats. I appreciate all the photos, especially of them all playing. Dawn went above and beyond on this booking - when she went downstairs to the basement for the litter boxes the morning after a bad storm, she discovered our basement was flooded. She called us right away and offered to get a box and some litter for our cats which was greatly appreciated. It's clear that Dawn's first priority is our cats, and that makes her a wonderful sitter.”

About: I’ve taken care of mine own dogs and others my whole life. I am an active girl, that loves to bring dogs on walks or runs. I am a middle school special education teacher so I have summers off. I would be able to care for a pet throughout the summer with an extremely flexible schedule. I would be willing to come and stay at your home with your pet and keep their routine as if you never left! I am a caring girl willing to keep your pet happy and healthy!

“Rebecca took excellent care of our cat while we were out of the country. She provided frequent updates and photos, while spending time at the house with her. She even cleared a very slight time change with us before coming early one evening. We are so happy to have found Rebecca and will definitely use her again!”

About: Hi! My name is Marissa and I am 25 years old. I am an ambitious, adventurous, vivacious individual. I am currently in my second year of college at Mott Community College working toward my Associate's in Psychology, so that I may then transfer to the University of Michigan to achieve my Bachelor's. Once achieving my Bachelor's, I would like to work as a counselor for a few years before going back to school for my Master's so that I may eventually become a bereavement therapist and open a private practice. I am currently a member of the Psychology Society at Mott and I was selected to join the Mott Community College's chapter of The National Society of Leadership and Success. I have been taking care of dogs of various breeds since I was old enough to take care of myself, having owned numerous amounts of dogs for about 20 years. Neighbors, friends, family, and a few Rover clients have relied on me to walk, feed, bathe, and spend time with their pets for the past 5 years -- possibly longer. I am not certified yet, but I intend to take a CPR & First Aid course for dogs as soon as possible -- hopefully, I never have to use it. But it would bring me peace of mind knowing that if there were ever a situation with my dog or someone else's dog, I'd know what to do. I intend to take a pet grooming course as I would be able to offer more grooming services. And lastly, I also intend to take a dog obedience/training course so that I may offer training services as well. Being a full-time student takes up the majority of my time, thus I am looking to start up cleaning, dog walking/dog-sitting, and babysitting/nannying businesses so that I may keep a steady income for the next few years. I am taking all of my classes online and will eventually switch to going on-campus for my classes, but that will most likely be in a few years when I am attending U of M -- which would require me to move out of the Northern Michigan area. As a member of the Psychology Society and the NSLS, I may occasionally need to travel for a couple of days to Flint for an event -- especially considering I may apply for and take on one of the positions in the Psychology Society. With that being said, I would prefer to have a decent amount of time to prepare and set a date on my calendar for any services I will be providing for you. I will also make sure to keep my availability up-to-date. I would also appreciate cancellations to be in advance as well, but I do understand that life happens. In clients' homes, I will take your fur baby/babies to any nearby parks and/or long walks on any trails. I offer grooming services such as bathing, ear cleaning, and hair brushing. I request that if I am in your home, you leave me a list of my responsibilities. I do not mind caring for young puppies that are still in the process of potty training. I just request that you let me know exactly what cleaning supplies you would like me to use to clean up any messes if he/she has an accident -- preferably this won't happen as I will be around and will have the time necessary to avoid accidents inside. Currently, I am not offering boarding or doggy daycare services because my dog does not get along well with other dogs. But I do plan to start offering those services again in the future... I have a decent-sized yard, but it is not fenced in. I have a leash hooked up outside to easily let your dog/dogs out for potty breaks if the weather is too bad for a walk. I have two full baskets filled with toys from bark box to play with and I try to stay stocked up on treats from the Three Dog Bakery! You can bring your treats as well if you give your dog a specific brand of treats. I have no problem with dogs getting on my furniture, but I do also have an extremely comfortable Serta dog bed if you have taught them to stay off of furniture. If your dog is puppy pad trained rather than trained to go potty outside, then I would need you to provide the pads as I do not have any. I am also okay with boarding/dog-sitting a puppy in my home once I am offering those services again as well, even if he/she is still in the process of potty training. I just request that you provide a kennel or crate in case I need to leave my home for anything. I would not leave the puppy attended for longer than an hour and a half.

“Wonderful family! So welcoming, attentive and kind to our Chevy girl! Lots of video and photo coverage of her day with them along with so much play time and walks at the park. Chevy got along so well with Marley too, which was so lovely. Will 100% use them in the future for our day care needs!”

“Dorothy is great with my 1 yr. old puppy. She is patient but consistent with dealing with his puppy energy and lack of focus. I can tell he enjoys being with her. Thank you, Dorothy!”

“Peter communicated promptly about pre-scheduled arrangements and Cora felt very comfortable and happy while with him. His house is located on a beautiful street with old trees alley close by the beaches. We appreciated his last minute availability and will be glad to request dog care again in the future.”

“Shae and Apollo were fantastic! She was so quick to respond. She also tried to make meeting and pick up as easy as possible. She sent amazing pictures and it was great that my puppy didn’t even make a peep the entire 4 hour car ride home since he was so tired out from his fun adventure play date! Thank you so much shae!”

About: I have always loved dogs, and have taken care of many over the years. We had our own family rescue, growing up. Then I rescued a couple of kittens in college who were with me and my husband for almost 20 years. They were my loves. When our first brother passed rescue the senior rabbit. We had him for quite a few years to help. Distract our sad brother cat. I I’ve always loved meeting and playing with as many dogs as possible. I nannied for a family years ago and took over puppy training duties to perfect the behavior of my only coworker. I’ve taken care of my mother’s dog and neighbors’ for years just because I want all dogs to always feel loved and get as many adventures as they can! I am responsible and always early for anything. I always have leashes, toys, treats, and dozens of poop bags handy, even though my only pets were cats and rabbits. Someday I’ll have dogs, but right now I’ll just have to borrow them. I’m currently working full-time, but squeeze in as many dog walks as I can a week. I love to help out owners. We don’t have the time and give their animals some fun adventures and love. I have a fenced in yard with a back door to my house. Tons of toys, dishes for food and water. Leashes. A nice neighborhood to walk in where I know all of the barky yards.

About: I’m very responsible and also very active so if your dog needs a walk then that’s no worry for me! I’m very experienced with a dog of my own and my other family members dogs. I’m young so I have the energy that is needed for dog walking, whether it’s just 30min or a full hour! My only other job is babysitting, so I have quite a bit of free time! I’m very active so any opportunity to take a dog for a walk fits perfectly into my day. I never let my dog out of sight when using the bathroom, he is well trained so he doesn’t need a leash but because he is small you always have to keep an eye out for an eagle! I change the water in my dogs bowl everyday and feed him twice a day (plus a treat 😊) I also make sure to give my dog exercise, for the benefit of his health and to burn some energy.

About: I'm honest, dependable, caring, kind and very experienced caregiver to animals with all sorts of needs. I tend to like animals more than humans, if I watch your dogs or cats, its likely I will also take out your trash and do your dishes because I'm like that. I'm currently retired, however I travel quite a lot, but when I'm not travelling, I have 100% availability 7 days a week and all hours. Pets tend to do well with routine, thus I would stay on whatever your pet's routine usually is... if your dog is active that is a +++ as we rarely sit at home and do nothing, but oif your pet likes to just be home then we can do that as well.
