About: Hey guys! I'm just a Midwest girl living in my Midwest world! I have the typical Veteran husband and one of our three kids still living at home! We have a 7 pound Chihuahua and two kittens who are the current rulers of the home. I bring a professional, hands-on background to every dog I care for, shaped by my experience supporting K9 work in the military and training dogs across a wide range of needs. From guiding young puppies through early obedience and socialization to reinforcing structure and confidence in adult dogs, I focus on calm, consistent, and respectful handling. My approach blends proven training principles with genuine affection—clear communication, routine, and trust, paired with plenty of attention and care. On our private 20-acre property, dogs have the space to decompress, explore safely, and enjoy a peaceful environment while still receiving individualized guidance and close supervision. While we do have 20 acres that we can walk through we also have a fenced in area and GPS Fence collars for your dog to use. Depending on the training your dog has been through we can work with you to see what fits best. I am a full time mom who homeschools her kid. My husband is home part time so most of the time we are home if not pup will be crated. I have a fenced in yard and a pet safe GPS collar for the pups. So no matter what the pup will be secured. There is no gate to leave the fenced in area so to leave you have to go through the house.
About: I've taken care of dogs, cats, birds, and all sorts of animals since I was a kid. Once I turned 16, I started housesitting and taking care of others' dogs and cats. In the last couple years I've moved out to a farm with my boyfriend where we take care of lots of different farm animals. There is cats and a dog that live in a different house on the property and all farm animals are fenced in. Your pets can interact or be kept very far away from the farm animals. Living on 200 acres, I have lots of space to accommodate to your needs. I am free everyday except Monday and Wednesday. I am searching for a new job but until then I can do anytime on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. All farm animals are kept in by fences, but we do not have any fenced in area for dogs. There is lots of yard and trails for leashed walks. If your pet comes when called, I can watch them while they explore the big back yard. Our home is a one bedroom and the cats and dog do not live with us. My boyfriend's parents live on the property and keep them inside there most of the time. It is up to you if you want them to interact with your pets or not.
About: Animals love me for my calm, loving demeanor. I am a good pack leader and provide a safe and fun place for your fur baby while your away. I am retired with plenty of time on my hands. It gets lonely at times so I enjoy the company of both dogs and cats. You can trust that I will take care of your fur babies the same as I do my own. They are part of the family and have rules to follow for everyone's benefit and safety.
“Ashley was so conscious and attentive to both our concerns about leaving our pup and making certain Red was happy and safe. She is terrific. We would not hesitate calling on her again.”

“Molly was an incredible cat-sitter for a whole week. She took our cat to the backyard on a harness for walks at our request, played with him, brushed him, fed him, and gave us great photos of all of this to boot—even some action shots. We came home and he was totally at ease, clearly having just made a new friend. She took up our offer to do a meet and greet and was very communicative and thorough in all aspects. She even noticed when the litter robot was getting low on litter and offered to replenish it, even though she hadn’t deal with one before. We will definitely be requesting her for future trips if she’s available! Thank you, Molly!”

“Amanda was great with our Cat. She went above and beyond and filled my bird feeders, checked my hanging baskets, and made sure to give my cat lots of love and attention. I would 10 out of 10 recommend, or use her again!”

About: I understand that every cat has unique needs, and I strive to create a calm, comfortable environment while their owners are away. I also provide regular updates so owners can feel confident that their pets are safe and well cared for.

About: I currently work at Little Traverse Bat Humane Society where I am an animal caregiver! I work alongside cats and dogs, but I spend a lot of time with cats! I’ve been exposed to many different temperaments, needs, and medical. Working at the shelter has given me a ton of experience and confident with being able to work with all ages and types of cats. I have grown up with cats all of my life. I currently have three cats named Charlie, Mew, and Cooper. They are the light of my life.
“This was our second time having Dawn do drop in visits with our cats. I appreciate all the photos, especially of them all playing. Dawn went above and beyond on this booking - when she went downstairs to the basement for the litter boxes the morning after a bad storm, she discovered our basement was flooded. She called us right away and offered to get a box and some litter for our cats which was greatly appreciated. It's clear that Dawn's first priority is our cats, and that makes her a wonderful sitter.”

“She was fantastic. Spent a good deal of time with the dogs on walks. Very punctual and responsive to texts. Kept the house very clean and washed dishes used for dog food. Will definitely use her again.”

About: Hi! My name is Marissa and I am 25 years old. I am an ambitious, adventurous, vivacious individual. I am currently in my second year of college at Mott Community College working toward my Associate's in Psychology, so that I may then transfer to the University of Michigan to achieve my Bachelor's. Once achieving my Bachelor's, I would like to work as a counselor for a few years before going back to school for my Master's so that I may eventually become a bereavement therapist and open a private practice. I am currently a member of the Psychology Society at Mott and I was selected to join the Mott Community College's chapter of The National Society of Leadership and Success. I have been taking care of dogs of various breeds since I was old enough to take care of myself, having owned numerous amounts of dogs for about 20 years. Neighbors, friends, family, and a few Rover clients have relied on me to walk, feed, bathe, and spend time with their pets for the past 5 years -- possibly longer. I am not certified yet, but I intend to take a CPR & First Aid course for dogs as soon as possible -- hopefully, I never have to use it. But it would bring me peace of mind knowing that if there were ever a situation with my dog or someone else's dog, I'd know what to do. I intend to take a pet grooming course as I would be able to offer more grooming services. And lastly, I also intend to take a dog obedience/training course so that I may offer training services as well. Being a full-time student takes up the majority of my time, thus I am looking to start up cleaning, dog walking/dog-sitting, and babysitting/nannying businesses so that I may keep a steady income for the next few years. I am taking all of my classes online and will eventually switch to going on-campus for my classes, but that will most likely be in a few years when I am attending U of M -- which would require me to move out of the Northern Michigan area. As a member of the Psychology Society and the NSLS, I may occasionally need to travel for a couple of days to Flint for an event -- especially considering I may apply for and take on one of the positions in the Psychology Society. With that being said, I would prefer to have a decent amount of time to prepare and set a date on my calendar for any services I will be providing for you. I will also make sure to keep my availability up-to-date. I would also appreciate cancellations to be in advance as well, but I do understand that life happens. In clients' homes, I will take your fur baby/babies to any nearby parks and/or long walks on any trails. I offer grooming services such as bathing, ear cleaning, and hair brushing. I request that if I am in your home, you leave me a list of my responsibilities. I do not mind caring for young puppies that are still in the process of potty training. I just request that you let me know exactly what cleaning supplies you would like me to use to clean up any messes if he/she has an accident -- preferably this won't happen as I will be around and will have the time necessary to avoid accidents inside. Currently, I am not offering boarding or doggy daycare services because my dog does not get along well with other dogs. But I do plan to start offering those services again in the future... I have a decent-sized yard, but it is not fenced in. I have a leash hooked up outside to easily let your dog/dogs out for potty breaks if the weather is too bad for a walk. I have two full baskets filled with toys from bark box to play with and I try to stay stocked up on treats from the Three Dog Bakery! You can bring your treats as well if you give your dog a specific brand of treats. I have no problem with dogs getting on my furniture, but I do also have an extremely comfortable Serta dog bed if you have taught them to stay off of furniture. If your dog is puppy pad trained rather than trained to go potty outside, then I would need you to provide the pads as I do not have any. I am also okay with boarding/dog-sitting a puppy in my home once I am offering those services again as well, even if he/she is still in the process of potty training. I just request that you provide a kennel or crate in case I need to leave my home for anything. I would not leave the puppy attended for longer than an hour and a half.

“Wonderful family! So welcoming, attentive and kind to our Chevy girl! Lots of video and photo coverage of her day with them along with so much play time and walks at the park. Chevy got along so well with Marley too, which was so lovely. Will 100% use them in the future for our day care needs!”

“Peter communicated promptly about pre-scheduled arrangements and Cora felt very comfortable and happy while with him. His house is located on a beautiful street with old trees alley close by the beaches. We appreciated his last minute availability and will be glad to request dog care again in the future.”

“Dorothy is great with my 1 yr. old puppy. She is patient but consistent with dealing with his puppy energy and lack of focus. I can tell he enjoys being with her. Thank you, Dorothy!”

About: I’m just getting started on Rover! I have lots of experience with my own two cats. And I’ve helped with dogs while babysitting kids! I have 7 years of experience in behavioral work with children and lots of those skills can be applied to cats and dogs. It’s official! I’m moving back home to MI! I’ll be available through July 20th with open availability. After that please inquire as I’m not 100% sure when I’ll be in the moving process. Farewell Wisconsin! I have two indoor only cats. They’re both ginger girls so they’re both very social and loving with their dad and I. They love it when we’re home with them to cuddle, get kisses and treats!
“Michael did a great job with Dudley. He had last minute availability and I felt great knowing he was there caring for my dog while I was away. He kept me updated! Thank you!”

About: I work at Little Traverse Bay Humane Society as an animal caregiver. I’ve been to exposed to all kinds of dogs and cats. I have experience with animal meds, animal behavior, animal training, and the care for them as well. I’ve handled all ages of animals from very young to old. I have also grown up with multiple pets including cats, dogs, reptiles, and rodents. I love all animals and I always make sure that I give the animal the best care possible. I’m currently working part-time at LTBHS. And I am going to school for Zoology! I would love as much experience with animals as I can get! I only work two days a week, so I have a very open schedule to work with! I have lots of experience in cleanliness of animals. As working at the shelter has given me hours upon hours of cleaning experience. I follow directions extremely well and take everything seriously. I understand these animals are your children and will always treat them like my own. I have experience in different temperaments and know how to safely handle them! I love a calm and loving environment with lots of mental and physical stimulation.
About: I’m very responsible and also very active so if your dog needs a walk then that’s no worry for me! I’m very experienced with a dog of my own and my other family members dogs. I’m young so I have the energy that is needed for dog walking, whether it’s just 30min or a full hour! My only other job is babysitting, so I have quite a bit of free time! I’m very active so any opportunity to take a dog for a walk fits perfectly into my day. I never let my dog out of sight when using the bathroom, he is well trained so he doesn’t need a leash but because he is small you always have to keep an eye out for an eagle! I change the water in my dogs bowl everyday and feed him twice a day (plus a treat 😊) I also make sure to give my dog exercise, for the benefit of his health and to burn some energy.
About: I am a reliable and compassionate dog sitter/walker with a very flexible schedule. I follow each pet's regular routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, litter box cleaning, and any special care instructions. I have experience with both dogs and cats of various ages, sizes, and energy levels, from puppies and kittens to senior pets. I also enjoy cozying up with pets during quiet downtime and playing calm music to help create a relaxing atmosphere. My goal is to provide a calm, caring environment where pets feel comfortable while their owners are away, and I am happy to provide regular updates for peace of mind. I am also respectful of clients' homes, keeping spaces clean and tidy and leaving everything as I found it.
“Absolutely amazing! I can always rely on Dawn for the very best care of my dog while I’m at work. I feel extremely comfortable and confident in her care. Reina adores Dawn! I could not have asked for a better, more caring woman to care for my dog.”

About: I have worked with a lot of high energy dogs so I understand and am willing to do the work that is needed for them. I have also worked with dogs that have had traumatic pasts and have spent time working with them to trust their environment and other people. I am a teacher so I have summers off and weekends free. I am also free after school for those last minute date nights and outings. I have two high energy black labs so I am used to dogs that need long walks and lots of stimulation. I am very comfortable around big dogs as mine are both 80 lbs. I prioritize trust and comfort for the dogs I care for. I work to build a strong bond with dogs I work with in order for both of us to have a good time.
“So thankful that Christine was able to walk Franny for us today on such short notice. They were so easy to work with and did a wonderful job with her. I highly recommend hiring Christine and her husband to care for your pup. They even offered to come back if our day trip took longer than expected”
