“Grayce was awesome with my cats!! She replied quickly to messages and left detailed notes during visits letting me know how my cats were doing and how much attention they were basking in while we were away! I would definitely book with Grayce again :)”

“We are so grateful for the incredible service Connie provided while we were away. We were gone for 11 days and Connie went above and beyond checking in on our cat, providing thorough updates on his wellbeing and making sure our house was secure. I cannot recommend Connie enough and will definitely be reaching out to her for future trips! Thank you Connie!!”

“Shyla was amazing! She was great with Theo and took care of him like she was her own. Absolutely will be working with her again in the future. Very caring, timely, great pictures which really helped ease my daughter’s anxiety about leaving out pup. Thank you again!”

About: I've been dog walking, dog sitting, and cat sitting for over 10 years and have owned both dogs and cats my entire life. I currently have a 1 year old dog, so I have recent hands on experience with puppies, including training reinforcement, exercise needs, and maintaining routines. In addition to my pet care experience, I work in healthcare, where attention to detail, reliability, communication, and compassion are essential every day. I bring those same qualities to caring for pets. Whether your pet needs a walk, overnight care, medication administration, or simply companionship while you're away, I will treat them as if they were my own. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member and strive to provide safe, loving, and dependable care for every pet I meet. I am looking for part time opportunities. I am a recently graduated healthcare professional looking for flexible pet care opportunities prior to my full time job. I ensure pets are kept safe. Making sure they are fed and cared for properly. I think walking dogs and interactive play time is important.
About: I've owned and cared for animals since high school. In addition to dogs and cats, I've owned horses since I was 16. I have been\am a foster parent for the Animal Rescue League of Boston since 2020. I'm a former puppy foster for service dogs and participated with early puppy training. I have carried those skills over to training other foster puppies and my personal dog. I have a medical background (EMT) and my daughter is a Vet Tech so I am very comfortable working with animals with medical needs and will follow any required medical plan. In addition to dogs and cats, I'd love to meet\care for your backyard farm animals; horses, pot-bellied pigs, chickens, goats, sheep, etc. I have experience with some of these animals through ownership and fostering opportunities. I'm open to meeting and learning about new friends. We currently have 4 dogs, 4 cats, and 2 horses in our home. All our animals are our babies and I'll care for yours as if they were my own. I'm currently unemployed so I'll have plenty of time to spend with your pets. I'm available for petsitting any day of the week and can work around any personal appointments. Boarding in my home is restricted to cats or other small animals. Puppies (under 1 year) may be accomodated, no adult dogs. For cats; we have a dedicated "cat room" to keep your pet separated from our pets. The room has a screen door so they don't feel locked away and can be part of our household while remaining safe. I will follow your pet care plan while in your home. For Puppies; all dogs are fed separately to avoid food aggression situations. All puppies will be crated for meals and sleeping overnight. If your puppy is not crate trained, I will work with them to ensure they are comfortable and not afraid. I can support your potty training schedule to maintain consistency.

About: Growing up I started pet sitting long and house sitting long before there were smartphones and apps for it! Once I was old enough, I became a vet tech, then switched careers to dog handler doing training and working with dogs at a daycare as a floor manager. In addition to being a mom, I am now a caregiver to my father. He is a 77 year old disabled Air Force veteran. I am blessed to have the opportunity! However, it also prevents me from adopting a dog of my own since my guy Benj passed away in 2023 at nearly 18 years old. My loss is your gain though, because all that love and experience is looking for another outlet! I’m incredibly flexible. I will try to accommodate with whatever you need! My regular job has mostly a flexible schedule so I can usually make things happen! I will treat your home with the utmost respect and care as I will your family! I am always willing to listen to suggestions too! I am not easily offended, so if you have any preferences in how you would like me to do something, please feel free to let me know!
About: I’ve been around dogs the last 20 years and I’ve been taking care of dogs for the last 14 years of my life. I love them and I couldn’t imagine my life without them. I’ve learned everything I know from my parents who’ve had dogs for 32 years I am 100% free and available whenever you may need I prefer having two days heads up before I can make the plan, but I can also show up For same-day visits as needed I have 2 3-year-old Samoyed girls that are absolute sweethearts who would love to have another puppy or dog hanging out in our fenced in back yard , I can crate your dog easily if needed.
“Katie was wonderful to work with and she took great care of my large golden, Andre, on the thanksgiving holiday. I was happy to see photos and updates while we were away. I would definitely use her again in the future.”

“Bonnie is so great with Sarsaparilla. She can sometimes be a feisty girl and it takes time for her warm up to people, but Bonnie is so patient and kind. And I always know she's taking such good care of my cat, because even if Sarsaparilla plays hard to get when Bonnie is here, she sits at the door waiting for her to come back!”

About: Been around many different dog breeds and pets since I was a kid. Family and friends have all relied on me to walk, play, and stay with their pets. I am comfortable with small or large dogs! I am a part-time server 3-4 nights a week! My shifts are roughly 4 hours, and I am out of school for the summer so I am available during the weekdays and weekends. I am willing to stay with pets overnight or as long as needed at clients home to ensure their comfortability! I have references that will testify to my willingness to keep their pets safe and satisfied.
“Jessica was a pleasure to work with. She was prompt and wonderful with our 10 wk old puppy and our English bulldog. She took some great photos too which made me smile!! Her summary notes were fantastic and made me feel confident that the dogs were well cared for.”
“I've had such anxiety thinking about letting a stranger come into my home and care for my puppy - thank God a friend recommended Sam. They came for a meet and greet, and listened attentively to what I was looking for regarding Al's care. I felt comfortable enough to book a drop in afterwards and, at this point, have had Sam come by a handful of times. They're great with Al, and with my adult dog who's sometimes home when I ask them to stop by. They've always be able to accommodate my requests, but the most important thing is that my boys are comfortable with them! They even go the extra mile helping to bring in my packages! They always update and send the cutest pics with the Rover card that let me relax knowing that my son is cared for. Highly recommend Sam if you need someone reliable!”

Shyla was amazing! She was great with Theo and took care of him like she was her own. Absolutely will be working with her again in the future. Very caring, timely, great pictures which really helped ease my daughter’s anxiety about leaving out pup. Thank you again!

We hired Grayce for drop-in visits for our puppy and she did a great job. Grayce was punctual, reliable, and followed all care instructions carefully. Communication was consistent, and we appreciated the updates and photos after each visit. We would definitely use Grayce again and recommend her to others looking for dependable drop-in pet care.

Mickey is the absolute best with our pup! We have a 6 year old goldendoodle who has come a long way from being fear reactive, but is still a selctive guy. Mickey got him to do tricks and want to play fetch within his first 10 minutes, and is so good at meeting him where he’s at! We have Mickey come 5 days a week and now if I say his name around my dog he gets so excited he looks out the window wagging his tail and waiting! Mickey also writes the most adorable and funny report cards after each visit, photos included - we are so lucky to have found him, he’s a huge help! Highly recommend.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
