Meagan is absolutely amazing! Holly and Dolly always enjoy their time with her, and I can relax knowing my girls are in the best hands. I don’t usually like sharing these awesome reviews because it means she’ll be booked solid but other families deserve to experience what a truly great caregiver she is. I have two senior, sometimes grumpy dogs, and Meagan handles them with so much patience and love. The videos she sends show just how comfortable and happy they are with her. It’s such a relief to see them so well cared for. Highly recommend Meagan she’s wonderful!

Morgan was an absolutely wonderful sitter for my dog, Remington! She is so sweet, kind, and professional. She kept me updated with pictures and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that Remington was well cared for and comfortable with her. Morgan is an excellent communicator and made the entire experience easy and stress-free. Morgan even cleaned Remington’s dishes and followed the feeding instructions exactly perfectly! I would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter! 💗🐾⭐️

We needed a sitter at the last min. She came same day and did the meet and greet. She was very nice and the dogs liked her. For it to be her first time house sitting she did an excellent job. We would most definitely use her again.

Cassandra was amazing. She was so patient with my rambunctious pup and gave him lots of play time. She also was very attentive to my older dog and tended to her anxiety during storms that came through during her stay. Cassandra was very responsive, sent me detailed daily texts and photos. I know my dogs loved her because she told me how they cuddled with her. I highly recommend her and will definitely hire Cassandra again for my housesitting needs.

About: My mom and I originally shared this Rover account, and now I’m taking it over myself. I’ve helped care for pets through the account and have also been pet sitting for family, friends, and clients for years. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities, and I make sure every pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, and care. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always aim to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m available every day and have a flexible schedule, so I can accommodate morning, afternoon, evening, and last-minute bookings. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine, allowing me to give each pet plenty of attention and care. I have a safe and loving environment to cater to your pet needs. I have a fenced home for your pet to run and play and to enjoy their stay. I have 2 dogs. I could also come to your home to provided loving care for your pets.

About: My experience started when I was around 9 years old. My aunt had a cocker spaniel so that was my introduction into what caring for pets looked like. I treated Diamond, her name, as if she was my own. I learned how to bathe her, feed her, discipline her, play with her, and take her for walks. That same aunt then got three more dogs; a yorkie, a cavapo, and a pit bull so I got experience with taking care of three different dogs at the same time. It was beneficial because all three dogs had their own personalities. Also, pit bulls are so sweet and not the monsters the media says they are:). Next, my brother got a husky, Koda who you may see pictured, so that helped me learn what it was like to take care of big dogs. At first, Koda was scary because of his size but I soon learned that he was just a baby who wanted attention🥹. So I did just that. I would go out and play with him, give him toys, feed him, give him treats, and take him for walksies. It was hard because he pulls but I think I got the hand of it lol. Also, one of my cousins has a chihuahua/poodle mix who I’ll see every now and then who loves to do everything. She’s given me the most experience of how different a dog can be but she’s also so chill🥰 Recently, I gained experience with cats. Me and my roomies decided to adopt a cat named Junior who definitely gave us a run for our money. From seeing him when he was 4 months to now all grown up it’s been a ride. He loves to hide, is very mischievous, hates the outside, loves to climb, and picks and chooses when he wants to cuddle. He was definitely crazy but I love him so much. I’ve also volunteered at animal shelters from time to time which have had dogs and cats of all sizes and ages. That has definitely helped me expand my knowledge and gave me a lot of insight on how it is to treat puppies, kitties, sick babies, and the elderly ones🥺. So no matter what your fur baby has to offer, I’ll be there to love on them and provide them with what they need while your away🥰 I’m a college student home for the holidays so I will have a pretty open schedule! I don’t start school for another month so if you are looking for someone to watch your babies as the summer wraps up and last minute trips are taken, I got you!!❤️ All I ask for is a days notice at minimum and I’ll be happy to watch your babies. I will follow all rules presented by the owner. I will treat all pets like they are my very own and make sure they are loved and watched over!

About: Working from home allows me to give every animal in my care the attention and love they need as well as the flexibility to work with parents schedules. 10 years of experience working with dogs and cats both high energy, shy/nervous, needing extra attention, dogs who need separation from other dogs, both small and large! I have plenty of space in the back yard as well as toys both inside and out to make sure every fur baby is able to get their zoomies out, plenty of play time and comfort inside my home as well! I do not kennel any dogs unless the parents state that they need to be at any specific time for any reason. I want to provide a stress free experience where both fur babies and parents are taken care of. I want parents to feel confident in knowing their babies are safe and I will treat them as if they were my own babies, I taught my dog, to be able to go to the dog parks and be social nonaggressive. I specifically taught him to be gentle with cats and dogs growing up so he loves everyone. I do have extra space in my home so if someone needs to be separated or have a little bit of some space way while receiving the same quality care, they are able to have that! If I go into your home it is specifically to give the babies play times with any toys you allow me to use and just show them the same loving and petting I would for my babies. 🐾 If you have a questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to ask I am here to help you have a peace of mind! ☺️ I work from home so I am actively able to provide daily outside playtime and potty time during the day and some much needed sun bathes for the sun bathers. I am able to provide a good feed schedule as well treat times! It is a pleasure to be able to work from home and effectively care to the needs of each furbaby! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. With my experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages and personalities, I understand how important it is to have someone you can truly trust with your furry family members!❤️ I provide a calm, safe, and loving environment where pets can feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I pay close attention to routines, behavior, and individual needs to ensure every pet receives personalized care, patience, and plenty of affection. I believe communication is extremely important, so I’m happy to provide regular updates, photos, and check ins for peace of mind. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, anxious, young, or senior, I strive to make them feel secure, loved, and at home in my care. 🐾

FAQs for House Sitting - Pecan Hill

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Pecan Hill on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 2,913 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Pecan Hill. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pecan Hill walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pecan Hill maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pecan Hill choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pecan Hill. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
