“Skyler was absolutely amazing while watching our dog and cat! She took such great care of them and gave us peace of mind while we were away. We received updates, photos, and could tell our pets were happy, comfortable, and well-loved the entire time. When we came home, our babies were relaxed and content. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her!!”

“Cassy was absolutely fantastic with our boy! She was on time for every walk and stayed in communication with me for updates. I felt so at ease knowing our pup was in such good hands. Will definitely rebook. Thank you Casey!!”

“We had Casey come to our home for our dog Ozzy and to check on our new chicks twice a day for 30 minutes each visit while we were in California. We liked that Casey was on time and stayed the full 30 minutes. We also liked the pictures that we had received. We will definitely book for future travel plans.”

“Isabella is a great communicator and was so good with our two very active dogs on her drop ins. She accommodated our schedule and cared for them like her own we appreciate her help!”

“Loved that I felt very comfortable with the way Angela felt with the dogs upon the meet & greet! I wouldn’t have trusted her with my home + my dogs, if I felt she would be anything other than fully capable. She was transparent with questions/answers, she asked more questions than I was expecting which made me even more confident that she knew exactly what to look for and do. I appreciated the photos she took during her visits! I can’t wait to continue using her. Thank you again, Angela!”

“Rachel was the absolute best and couldn’t have asked for for a better person to take care of the pups!! HIGHLY recommend and will absolutely be using her from here on out!”

“Dee was super sweet to our old girl. It was great getting updates and seeing pictures that she was doing well. I also appreciated Dee making time to come by to meet us and accommodating us into her busy schedule!”

“Very pleased with the care that James gave my dog! He showed up on time, followed everything I asked, and made the whole experience stress-free. It really put me at ease knowing my dog was in good hands. I would definitely use him again!”

About: I’ve been a dog owner for many years and have experience caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I currently own a deaf Dalmatian, which has taught me patience, consistency, and how to work with dogs that require extra attention and communication. Friends and family have trusted me to feed, walk, play with, and check in on their pets while they’re away. I understand that every dog is different, and I take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Whether your pet needs a quick potty break, exercise, playtime, or companionship, I’ll provide dependable care and regular updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I understand the importance of maintaining your pet’s routine and will do my best to accommodate scheduling needs whenever possible. I also travel between the Spartanburg and Charleston areas regularly, allowing me to offer services in both locations when available. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. During visits, I will carefully follow your instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, routines, and any special needs. As a pet owner myself, I understand the trust involved in leaving your pet in someone else’s care. I will provide updates and photos during visits so you can feel confident your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. I am comfortable caring for large breeds, energetic dogs, and pets that may require extra patience or attention. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
