“Paul took excellent care of my kitten Clover while we were away. Clover has a wild disposition, and so is choosy about who she likes, but Paul won her over. He took lots of pictures and took the time to make her comfortable. Thank you!”

About: I grew up on a farm riding horses, tending cats, rabbits, dogs, calves, puppies and chickens. I am a former Kindergarten and First Grade teacher who is excited to meet you and your special pet! Will follow your instructions carefully. I am mostly retired which allows plenty of time to spend with your pet. Thank you for entrusting your friend to my warm, reliable care. My home is a stress-free, safe and loving accommodation for your pet. I have a great, high, people-cot so big dogs and little dogs can sleep beside me at night. Pet owners can relax and enjoy time away knowing all is well with your friend.
“Outstanding person and sitter!! Helped us immeasurably when we could see on camera that our cat was not eating as usual. She is also so good at really getting what you are asking, even if there are details. We are so thankful.”
“Marina was a wonderful sitter for our cats while we were away. She was reliable, punctual, and communicated consistently, sending photos and updates every day. Our cats can be a little hesitant with new people, but she took the time to engage them in play and they quickly warmed up to her. She was warm, friendly, and clearly cared about their well-being. She even happily FaceTimed with us when we were missing them, which we really appreciated. We came home to happy, well-cared-for cats and would absolutely book with her again.”

I just graduated and am taking a semester off, I’m also looking for a part time job currently so I will update my hours but I have a lot of free time that will be dedicated to your pet. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your pet extra company! I will give your pets extra snuggles and play time, if they would like! I will also offer course make sure they have food, water, and walks or exercise.

If you have any specific requirements for your pets just let me know and I’ll be happy to accommodate them to the best of my ability.
“Kristin has been great with our little guy, Jett. He likes her a lot. Kristin spends time with him in our backyard, and he adores it. She sends thorough updates about their time together, and she takes multiple photos of him. She has dropped in several times so far, and we have her scheduled on repeat. We will continue to work with Kristin in the future. Highly recommend!”

About: I love animals and have a ton of experience! I will put your fur baby above my own any day of the week! Reach out when you need some extra hands to take care of you pet! His name is Byrd and she is super sweet. I live in an apartment complex with doggy parks and a dog wash station!
“Kaeli was very quick to respond upon my initial request to check in on our cat for a long weekend. She communicated very well to meet us prior to committing, and Kaeli was immediately a friendly, easy going and trustworthy sitter. She updated me with each visit and sent photos so we had peace of mind. I’m so happy to have found Kaeli and will absolutely be using her for future jobs!”

About: I have had dogs for 8 years and have recently taken in a cat about 4 years ago. I love walking dogs and have walked my neighbors dogs and such. (My own too of course.) Nothing makes me happier than seeing a happy dog (or cat). I work a full time job that pays me well so the money isn’t important to me. Making dogs and animals happy on walks or through care is what makes me happy! I enjoy playing and entertaining little friends. Whether it’s fetch, tug-a-war, or shining the little red laser around, I enjoy it all!!
“Cristina was awesome with our dogs and cat while we were away for the weekend! Our older dog has some medical needs, and our younger one is very picky about who she likes but they both loved Cristina! She was an excellent communicator and even though the roads and weather worked against her, she made sure to take great care of our fur babies! We will definitely use her services again in the future :)”
About: I’ve taken care of family friends, neighbors, and friends pets, which includes feeding, walking, and giving them love!! I have over 8 years of experience and I can provide references! I am currently taking classes online part time, but don’t worry, I still have plenty of time to take care of your furry friends during the day! I have a fenced in yard and my next door neighbors do not own pets. There are also lots of walking trails in my neighborhood.
About: I’ve grown up around pets including dogs, cats, snakes, bunnies, and more all my life. In highschool I would pet sit for friends, family, and neighbors quite often. I now have my own pet cat, and still enjoy pet sitting! Im currently on summer break between my Junior and Senior college grades. I am taking 9 class credits, but they are all online. That being said I’m always home and available! I have a vehicle as well so I am able to get anywhere easily. While caring for pets at my client’s home, I do my best to stay in contact including sending photos of the pets to show they are doing well. I track my walks to show how long they are and where we went. I also find it extremely important to play with pets and keep them mentally stimulated, especially cats. I will gladly stay and spend time with your pets for as long as needed!

Bethany did an outstanding job! I can definitely recommend her. I am so happy that she is in the neighborhood. I will also offer a phone or email referral for anyone wanting one. I know how difficult it is finding trustworthy sources now. Thank you again. I will be continuing to use Bethany.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Patterson. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
