About: Hi my name is Christie and I am a huge Animal Lover! To me, dogs and cats aren’t just animals they are lifelong companions. 💕 I have many years of experience caring for a multitude of animals (30+ to be exact). As a kid, we had dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds you name it. In high school, I worked for a groomer and learned a lot about how to properly care for different animals. I've always had a passion for rescuing because of my mom and her love of rescuing/saving animals in need of a home. It’s something that she passed down to me. RIP Momma I Miss You! ❤️‍🩹 My philosophy is that every animal deserves to know what love is in its fullest form so that is what I strive to provide to each and every animal in my care. I just recently lost our two oldest rescues dogs named Romeo and our Wheaton Terrier named Hayley. Oh and let us not forget our very outspoken Torti cat named Nala whom we loved dearly. So we rescued our beautiful cat Bella and most recently a sweet 4 month old puppy named Nova. They are my furrkids, my companions, my therapy animals, and my little loves. I am flexible and I am open to helping when & where I’m needed. I have references I can provide from those whose animals I have cared for previously that I will happily provide. Exercise is important to me so we like to spend time taking the animals we care for on long walks or hikes, swimming, or to the park to chase a ball or frisbee. “Natalie is incredibly self-possessed, which creates a sense a calmness around her that Greta reacted to right away. From all the updates she sent, I could tell my girl was relaxed and just being welcomed to be herself. It was clear from the photos provided that Natalie was getting right on her level and that Greta felt secure. I was late droping-off and picking up, but Natalie was so flexible, which I greatly appreciated. I'm really looking forward to seeing Greta get even more comfortable there, and it just felt like the right fit. I really trusted that Natalie would use good judgement if any issues were to arise, and they actually live a couple doors down from a vet. I could tell Natalie was confident in this role, my dog felt safe and cared for, and I could enjoy my time knowing that she was in capable hands. Greta was so calm when I picked her up, when normally she seems a little frantic to be back with me (even at my mom's)-- if you're looking for a chill place for your pet to feel at ease, this is it. Natalie also asked a lot of important questions when I dropped off Greta which made it clear she was thinking ahead and trying to create an environment that my girl could be happy in. I'm so appreciative of Natalie's considerate approach.”

About: If booking PET DAYCARE: We will come to your home and spend the day with your fur babe(s). Time blocks are 4 hours at a set rate of $50. And $15 per hour each additional hour past the initial booked 4 hour time block. Additional charges, if any, will be communicated and added on at the end of the sit by me. ♥️ I've cared for all breeds and sizes of cats, dogs and various other creatures in my life since I was a child. I am trauma informed, science backed, and consent based in everything I do. I am force free/fear free. I don’t use any aversives with any animal. I follow the most up to date animal science and firmly believe that through positive reinforcement and giving animals agency to opt in or out of most situations is the best way to be in relationship with them. My first love was a husky mix named Dutchess. If they want cuddles, if they want space, if they want to run around in the back yard and play catch or tug-o-war then that is what we are going to do! About: I used to work as a vet tech while getting my undergraduate degree in animal science. I spent a full summer running my own doggy daycare and have worked in boarding facilities as well. I have experience grooming, giving medication, and plenty of experience with loving on animals!! My home has two dogs who love to snuggle and play, and I would love to care for your pet too! I am working from home currently, so I will have plenty of time to spend with your pets. I set my own schedule, so I can have flexibility with pick-up/drop-off. I have a giant crate (big enough for a great dane) and a small one (big enough for a beagle), but I also don’t mind uncrated dogs. My two dogs will be crated separately when I am not home, unless owner requests their dog have a buddy. Dogs are allowed on furniture and can sleep in the bed if that’s their norm. I have a large fenced in yard.

About: Hello, my name is Kat, and I am an MFA graduate in poetry from the University of Maryland, but I'm originally from the Bay City / Saginaw area. I am a current PhD student in poetry at Western Michigan University where I also teach English Composition 101. I live in/nearby the Vine neighborhood close by downtown with access to neighborhood walking and nearby dog parks. I'm also happy to take your doggy for a field trip to their favorite dog park or nature trail! I often walk up to 4 miles a day, so I look forward to bringing your dog along for some of the adventure! I am available to feed animals, take care of potty business, provide play time, take them to the park, give them love, brush/groom (with instruction if needed), and give medications depending on your dog's temperament (instructions needed). I may be available for additional services depending on the request / depending on the animal. Cats are my favorite animal and as a lifetime owner of cats, I am often able to work with all of their different personalities and love them for it! Here to provide pets, play time, food, and clean up fur balls, and litter boxes, etc. I can help with medications, too, depending on your cat's temperament (instructions needed!) As a grad student, I have pretty flexible hours during the school year, only teaching one class and then taking classes. We can communicate nuances in my schedule when the time comes, but generally, I have room to maneuver. I am available for Meet and Greets: In person Meet and Greets are welcomed and preferred! FaceTime or online meetings are welcomed, too, to discuss specific expectations or specific details about your pet(s) before services. I look forward to meeting you and your pet(s) soon! -Kat As a grad student who only teaches one class a semester, I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule allowing me to spoil your pet with plenty of drop ins, walks, or longer visits. I do, however, have my own cat, so I won't be able to do more than three nights away from my home at a time and I will need to be able to return to my home at some point everyday to take care of her and spend at least 2 hours with her, but I will still have plenty of time to spend with your fur baby! Small dogs are welcome in my home! This fall I teach Tuesdays and Thursdays 11:00 am-12:15 pm and have office hours until 1:30 on those days as well. On Wednesdays I have class 6:30-9 pm. My independent studies will create other small nuances in my schedule which may be subject to change, so we can discuss. As a past owner of a skittish, black cat, I'm really good with all cat / animal personalities and have gained patience and intuition in respecting individual animal boundaries and creating trust, and eventually a unique bond. I live on the second floor of an apartment house and have a large balcony for fresh air away from direct traffic and foot-traffic to allow your dog some relaxing outdoor time. I am also an avid walker, often walking 4 miles a day and can guarantee I'll be able to keep your dog under control and engaged.

About: I used to watch dogs and cats around my neighborhood I grew up with cats when I was young. I’ve watched my families and close friends animals a lot. I am a huge animal lover ❤️❤️ I work during the day but free afterwords. My hours are 8am-2pm. Monday-Friday. I’ll be able to fit your animals in after I’m done working. I would take good care of your animals, I love to play with cats and dogs and I would give them lots of attention.
