“I can’t say enough good things about Katy! She took amazing care of my 4-month-old puppy, and even though she’s a bit shy around other dogs, she really warmed up quickly. Her own dogs were incredibly friendly and helped put my pup at ease. After just an hour, Fiona was doing great with them! Her home is so cozy, and it’s clear she creates a loving environment for pets. My puppy had such a great time, and we will definitely be back. Thank you, Katy, for your wonderful care!”

“Julie and Joe were patient and kind with our pup Juno. She pulled me up to their door when we arrived so i know she likes them and staying there! Thank you both!”

“Amanda was a wonderful sitter for our dog Obi. She was easy to communicate with and gave good feedback on how Obi was doing. She was also flexible with the drop off and pick up times. Obi loved being over there and had a wonderful time playing in her fenced yard with her dogs. I would strongly recommend Amanda and will definitely request her again.”

“Stephanie is great! My dog can be a little shy in new situations, but she was so excited to get dropped off each day and came home tired and happy.”

About: Hi my name is Christie and I am a huge Animal Lover! To me, dogs and cats aren’t just animals they are lifelong companions. 💕 I have many years of experience caring for a multitude of animals (30+ to be exact). As a kid, we had dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds you name it. In high school, I worked for a groomer and learned a lot about how to properly care for different animals. I've always had a passion for rescuing because of my mom and her love of rescuing/saving animals in need of a home. It’s something that she passed down to me. RIP Momma I Miss You! ❤️🩹 My philosophy is that every animal deserves to know what love is in its fullest form so that is what I strive to provide to each and every animal in my care. I just recently lost our two oldest rescues dogs named Romeo and our Wheaton Terrier named Hayley. Oh and let us not forget our very outspoken Torti cat named Nala whom we loved dearly. So we rescued our beautiful cat Bella and most recently a sweet 4 month old puppy named Nova. They are my furrkids, my companions, my therapy animals, and my little loves. As a self-employed cosmetologist I am blessed with a flexible schedule which allows me the opportunity to be here to help care for your pet companions in the best ways possible. I am flexible and I am open to helping when & where I’m needed. I have references I can provide from those whose animals I have cared for previously that I will happily provide. Exercise is important to me so we like to spend time taking the animals we care for on long walks or hikes, swimming, or to the park to chase a ball or frisbee. I strive to give them the love and play time that they deserve. 🫶🏻 I am currently self-employed so I’ll have lots of time to dedicate to your furbaby/furbabies. I’m dedicated to making sure your pet feels loved and accepted in our home. I have two friendly dogs who will give your furbaby lots of playtime fun. We teach tricks and go for daily walks, play fetch, and support lots of playtime. Daily snuggles and love are a must!!

“Natalie is incredibly self-possessed, which creates a sense a calmness around her that Greta reacted to right away. From all the updates she sent, I could tell my girl was relaxed and just being welcomed to be herself. It was clear from the photos provided that Natalie was getting right on her level and that Greta felt secure. I was late droping-off and picking up, but Natalie was so flexible, which I greatly appreciated. I'm really looking forward to seeing Greta get even more comfortable there, and it just felt like the right fit. I really trusted that Natalie would use good judgement if any issues were to arise, and they actually live a couple doors down from a vet. I could tell Natalie was confident in this role, my dog felt safe and cared for, and I could enjoy my time knowing that she was in capable hands. Greta was so calm when I picked her up, when normally she seems a little frantic to be back with me (even at my mom's)-- if you're looking for a chill place for your pet to feel at ease, this is it. Natalie also asked a lot of important questions when I dropped off Greta which made it clear she was thinking ahead and trying to create an environment that my girl could be happy in. I'm so appreciative of Natalie's considerate approach.”

“Burton had another fun and energy burning day with Sari, Loren, their kids and dog Milo! Burton was so excited to see them again that as soon as he got out of the car, he just bolted straight to their front door with excitement. Will for sure be making this a weekly event! Last time Burton was there, he was pooped for two days. Nice to have a little break after I come from work and Burton has already had his exercise for the day. I mean, I think my dog is adorable and lovable, but can tell this family thinks so too.”

“My separation anxiety-prone husky was in wonderful hands with Heidi and her family. She sent me tons of photos of my baby snuggling on the couch, playing with her beagles, and getting snuggles from the kids. My pup went to her two days in a row and seemed totally content to be dropped off the next day. I couldn't ask for anything more!”

About: If booking PET DAYCARE: We will come to your home and spend the day with your fur babe(s). Time blocks are 4 hours at a set rate of $50. And $15 per hour each additional hour past the initial booked 4 hour time block. Additional charges, if any, will be communicated and added on at the end of the sit by me. ♥️ I've cared for all breeds and sizes of cats, dogs and various other creatures in my life since I was a child. I am trauma informed, science backed, and consent based in everything I do. I am force free/fear free. I don’t use any aversives with any animal. I follow the most up to date animal science and firmly believe that through positive reinforcement and giving animals agency to opt in or out of most situations is the best way to be in relationship with them. My partner and I have been caring for animals professionally together since 2019. We are both very passionate about animal care and are excited to get to know you and your fur babes! My first love was a husky mix named Dutchess. I was a rough and tumble three-year-old and she looked like a furry loaf of bread with rolled up newspapers for legs, who never let me out of her sight until the day she crossed over the rainbow bridge. And thus began my love affair with pretty much all animals. Each pet has their own unique personality and style. I adapt to your pet's needs and wants. If they want cuddles, if they want space, if they want to run around in the back yard and play catch or tug-o-war then that is what we are going to do! My aim is to make them and you, happy with the stellar care they are being given. Animals have always been an integral part of my life, and I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to love and care for them and provide for my own family as well. <3 Animal care and companionship is my life. We currently have one dog and one cat in our home. I work with my animals multiple times a day everyday of the week to ensure they get all the enrichment, exercise, attention, and love they want and need. Trusting me with your home and pets is a big deal. Rest assured I will communicate regularly with pictures, videos and text updates throughout our stay together so you can feel at ease with the care of your fur babies.

“She did absolutely amazing with my pup we will use again!”

About: I used to work as a vet tech while getting my undergraduate degree in animal science. I spent a full summer running my own doggy daycare and have worked in boarding facilities as well. I have experience grooming, giving medication, and plenty of experience with loving on animals!! My home has two dogs who love to snuggle and play, and I would love to care for your pet too! I am working from home currently, so I will have plenty of time to spend with your pets. I set my own schedule, so I can have flexibility with pick-up/drop-off. I have a giant crate (big enough for a great dane) and a small one (big enough for a beagle), but I also don’t mind uncrated dogs. My two dogs will be crated separately when I am not home, unless owner requests their dog have a buddy. Dogs are allowed on furniture and can sleep in the bed if that’s their norm. I have a large fenced in yard.

“Always easy leaving Junebug with Elliot and Jenna, she is always happy there. Excellent care! Thank you as always!”

About: Hello, my name is Kat, and I am an MFA graduate in poetry from the University of Maryland, but I'm originally from the Bay City / Saginaw area. I am a current PhD student in poetry at Western Michigan University where I also teach English Composition 101. I live in/nearby the Vine neighborhood close by downtown with access to neighborhood walking and nearby dog parks. I'm also happy to take your doggy for a field trip to their favorite dog park or nature trail! I often walk up to 4 miles a day, so I look forward to bringing your dog along for some of the adventure! I am available to feed animals, take care of potty business, provide play time, take them to the park, give them love, brush/groom (with instruction if needed), and give medications depending on your dog's temperament (instructions needed). I may be available for additional services depending on the request / depending on the animal. Cats are my favorite animal and as a lifetime owner of cats, I am often able to work with all of their different personalities and love them for it! Here to provide pets, play time, food, and clean up fur balls, and litter boxes, etc. I can help with medications, too, depending on your cat's temperament (instructions needed!) As a grad student, I have pretty flexible hours during the school year, only teaching one class and then taking classes. We can communicate nuances in my schedule when the time comes, but generally, I have room to maneuver. I am available for Meet and Greets: In person Meet and Greets are welcomed and preferred! FaceTime or online meetings are welcomed, too, to discuss specific expectations or specific details about your pet(s) before services. I've owned dogs and cats my entire life and I've always found animals to be a source of comfort. I believe interacting with animals through walks and nurture is a way to repay the comfort and happiness animals give us, and I look forward to creating a bond with your pet(s) that can be beneficial for them both physically and mentally. Thank you for your interest and consideration! I look forward to meeting you and your pet(s) soon! -Kat As a grad student who only teaches one class a semester, I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule allowing me to spoil your pet with plenty of drop ins, walks, or longer visits. I do, however, have my own cat, so I won't be able to do more than three nights away from my home at a time and I will need to be able to return to my home at some point everyday to take care of her and spend at least 2 hours with her, but I will still have plenty of time to spend with your fur baby! Small dogs are welcome in my home! This fall I teach Tuesdays and Thursdays 11:00 am-12:15 pm and have office hours until 1:30 on those days as well. On Wednesdays I have class 6:30-9 pm. My independent studies will create other small nuances in my schedule which may be subject to change, so we can discuss. As a past owner of a skittish, black cat, I'm really good with all cat / animal personalities and have gained patience and intuition in respecting individual animal boundaries and creating trust, and eventually a unique bond. I live on the second floor of an apartment house and have a large balcony for fresh air away from direct traffic and foot-traffic to allow your dog some relaxing outdoor time. I am also an avid walker, often walking 4 miles a day and can guarantee I'll be able to keep your dog under control and engaged.

“Sarah was so great with our boy. He came home exhausted and happy! She was so helpful when we were looking for a last minute sitter and sent updates while we were gone. We would definitely book with her again!”

“Kristi was a godsend for us! We traveled from St. Louis to Kalamazoo for a funeral and were worried about leaving our daughter’s golden retriever Buffy with strangers. But Kristi and her children were fabulous! They treated Buffy like their own treasured pet. Buffy bonded with their dog immediately, and she didn’t care that we left. She was so happy playing with the children and their dog. We took her back for a couple of hours the next day, and Buffy was thrilled to see her friends again. I wish we lived closer so we could use Kristi over and over. She really was the best!”

“A dog friendly house and yard ... And a playful friend dog! Our high energy Setter had a great time at her dog play date.”

“Rebecca took great care of my dog during a long daytrip for work. She sent photos of him throughout the day and he really seemed to enjoy his day hanging out with her. Ozzy gives his stay five stars!”

5. Christina W.
“I would trust Christina in all aspects of my dog care needs. From home sitting, walking, to boarding and everything in between. I have two dogs who are on the opposite ends of the age spectrum. Brooke is 10 years old and Ellie was 9 months when Christina was walking them. She was able to give both dogs the attention and specific care they needed for their ages. She walked my dogs 6 days a week from the office I worked at, and my dogs absolutely adored their time with her. She was always very punctual, upbeat, and so so loving towards my babies. I got sent tons of pictures from their walks and play time too! She truly cares and loves what she does and it really reflects in the care my dogs received from her. If I'm ever in the area again she will be the person I go back to!”

9. Ryan T K.
“Ryan is a godsend! They watched our elderly labradoodles while we were out of town over Independence Day. As many pet parents know, this is a very scary time for dogs. Add to that a thunderstorm and it would have been very traumatic for our pups if it weren’t for Ryan. We weren’t planning on having Ryan stay overnight but they volunteered to so our pups wouldn’t have to be alone. The fireworks then thunderstorm lasted all night but our girls didn’t have to be alone. ❤️ This meant the world to us. While we were gone Ryan sent video updates, pictures and was available at all hours. Ryan also took the initiative to water plants, take in mail, etc. even though I had completely forgotten to ask. My husband and I both noticed how happy and calm our girls were when we got home. Much more so than they have been when left with other caregivers. Ryan exceeded all expectations and I’ve already booked again for our next vacation!”

Great at following instructions left by pet parents and also skilled at training dogs and helping them learn tricks!”
