About: Not only have I worked with animals my whole life I also work with dogs specifically with a rescue organization called AdoptMeBluegrass. I help with their animal care weekly and am part of their foster program. My family and my own dogs have welcomed hundreds of others into our home and always provide excellent care. I am a local landlord and typically only go out to work at the pet adoption center for AdoptMeBluegrass. I have no set work hours. I spend my time with the dogs. I have a double fenced property on a dead end street. Dogs love the 3/4 dedicated dog yard for them to play on our 6 acres of land. We have crates and can make your pet feel right at home. I’m a treats giver so let me know if there is something they can’t have or any other dietary restrictions. I can also come to your pet for services while you are away.
“Caitlin was so great with our babies! She was able to get my super shy cat to eat, which is always difficult to achieve with a new person. She was very communicative and made us feel totally at ease.”

“Joanna takes good care of my kitty. She sent us some pictures during our travel. Thanks to her, our travel was with no worries. This is the first time I hire a pet sitter through Rover, and I am pretty satisfied.”

“Shaine took care of a feral cat that I have been caring for over the last eight years. Feral cats choose people not the other way around. It was obvious from how close this cat came to Shaine that she is good people. I would recommend Shaine for simple or complicated pet sitting needs.”

“Wonderful! Julia provided great service and peace of mind. I was put at ease with her immediately and did not worry about my cats during our week away. The daily check-ins were admired by my children (who missed their pets tremendously) and I was impressed by the care displayed during an unexpected weather event. I will book with Julia again!”

About: I own my own dog, who is well trained, along with caring for neighbors dogs, and training. I have puppy sat at my own home for multiple nights. In my free time I watch a lot of dog training videos and love to do animal research. I enjoy cats while I do have limited experience. I am a full time college student however, I have my evenings free on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and weekends work great for me as well. I love training and I am extremely passionate about animals research so I love to learn more. I am detail oriented, and I have a dog of my own and have pet sat before so I have experience. I am really good with communication and respond frequently and in a timely manner, and I am relatively flexible with timing if need be.
About: Every week I take shelter dogs on enriching field trips, helping them burn energy, explore new places, and just be dogs. That same care and attention is what I bring to every client's pup. I hold a Dog Shelter Handling Certificate and have my RECOVER Pet CPR certification, and I've worked with all kinds of dogs: high energy wrestlers, anxious sweethearts, and everything in between. I have experience with puppies, adults and elderly dogs alike, big and small! With me, your dog gets: -Fun, enriching outings tailored to their personality -Plenty of affection and individual attention -Detailed updates with photos after every visit My goal is for every dog (and their humans!) to feel happy, safe, and cared for. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend! I work pet care into my daily routine and plan my schedule around walks and drop in visits. I prioritize reliability and consistency so pets stay comfortable and on their normal routine. I enjoy being active and flexible, so it’s easy for me to fit pet care in consistently during the week. I focus on making pets feel engaged through exercise, play, enrichment toys/treats, and lots of attention. I always try to stick closely to your pet’s normal routine and any instructions you provide including crating and I’ll send detailed updates with photos so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands.
“Kyra went above and beyond for our cat. She spent extra time with him, put on some soothing cat tv, and took great pictures for us to see. It was so great knowing he was in good hands while we were gone. I would re-book with her in a heart beat!”

About: If your dog thinks every walk is an Olympic event, I'm ready for the challenge. I've been walking dogs in my neighborhood for 9 years and have two dogs of my own, so I know that every dog has a different personality. From energetic pullers to squirrel chasers to dogs who get excited when they see other pups, I've learned how to stay calm, patient, and in control while making sure they have fun. I'm comfortable giving medications, providing overnight care, and adapting to each dog's unique personality and needs. At 21, I have the energy for long walks and active dogs, but also the patience and experience to handle more challenging situations safely and calmly. I treat every dog as if they were my own and work hard to make sure they get the exercise, attention, and care they deserve. I’m currently a college student and also working full-time as an intern at a civil engineering firm, so my schedule is pretty structured during the day. The best times for me to care for pets are in the afternoons and evenings. At my home, I make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and part of the routine. I stick to their usual schedule as much as possible. This includes feeding, walks, playtime, and any medications they need. I also make sure they get plenty of attention and don’t feel stressed while I'm away. In a client’s home, I try to keep things as normal as possible for the pet. I follow all instructions carefully, whether that’s feeding times, walks, meds, or special care. I always make sure they have fresh water, a clean space, and enough exercise and attention. I treat every pet like they’re my own and keep owners updated so they know their pet is doing well!
“Lauren & Joseph took great care of our GSD russ while we were out on vacation! Photos of every drop-in were provided and communication was excellent. They went above and beyond by cleaning up after our dog in his backyard area!! Would definitely suggest going with them if you’re looking for exceptional care and will definitely be using them in the future!!”

“Molly is the best. She is reliable, consistent, and takes such good care of our Hampton. He’s getting old and is on medication so we worry when we have to leave him for several days. Our worries are eliminated knowing Molly is visiting him. She is kind, warm, and communicative. We trust her wholeheartedly. Thank you for everything, Molly!”

“Mary took great care of my cat, provided updates and photos, and even noticed that the toilet was running, let me know, and kindly assisted in turning off the water for me.”

“Anne is flexible and responsive. She has offered care beyond what was asked and is willing to provide TLC. This was our second time asking for help and we would love to get to work with her again. She also takes fantastic pet photos!!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Park Lake
We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter! Julia was absolutely wonderful in every way—reliable, caring, communicative, and clearly treated our cats like her own. We felt completely comfortable knowing our pets were in such great hands while we were away. She also went above and beyond by bringing in packages, taking care of the trash cans, and providing extra details that made being away easier. We truly appreciated the extra effort and attention to detail. We highly recommend Julia and will definitely use her again!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Park Lake. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
