About: Hi! I’m Abby, a lifelong animal lover with a special place in my heart for both cats and dogs. I currently share my home with two sweet rescue cats I adopted in 2020. I’ve been around cats and dogs my whole life and understand how unique and particular they can be. In 2024, I spent six months volunteering at a local animal shelter, where I cared for cats of all ages and temperaments. I also have years of experience dog sitting for friends and family, and I grew up with a wonderful family dog who sparked my love for dogs. About: Starting 4 years ago, I began working in the pet care field as a kennel technician. I have now added veterinary assisting to my repertoire. With my past jobs I’ve been fortunate enough to work well with many types of pets of all sizes, from rats all the way up-to Great Danes! I am currently a full time vet technician, but I can definitely fit in pet-sitting, walk-ins, and or dog walks throughout the week. I usually am home for free time and love to keep busy so I have flexible availability. I usually let my dog free roam the house when we are winding down after a walk or fetch. Interaction is key to a healthy mindset for pets, so I try to entertain them as much as possible!

I work part time about 25 hours a week, and my job is quite flexible. I want to spend more time with animals and do more work I find fulfilling.
