“Margaret (Peggy) has been wonderful! She is very accommodating, changing the schedule last minute to meet our needs. Our puppy is always happy and relaxed when we arrive home after a long day of work because of his mid-day walks with Peggy. We are so glad we found her. Thank you Peggy!”

About: I've owned and cared for all kinds of animals my whole life. Professionally, I have experience working as a dog handler, kennel attendant, dog bather, and groomer. I also have extensive experience working and caring for cats, horses, and various small animals. My +3 years working at a dog daycare facility had me safely handling a pack of up to 25 dogs; providing exercise & engagement, soft corrections, and positive reinforcement. To do so, it was necessary to be observant and in tune with the dog's behavior and always on the lookout for any signs of stress or aggression. As a bather and groomer, I was focused on hygiene but a large aspect of the job relied on my knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques. I've owned cats my entire life and have worked with a TNR rescue the past few years getting pregnant females and unneutered male cats fixed and adopted. I also have pet care insurance with animal baliee coverage in case of emergencies. I always care for every animal as if they are my own and I understand how important it is for them to feel comfortable and loved. I work part-time on the night shift, so I'm out of the house between 9:30pm and 3am Monday through Friday. Outside of that- my schedule is flexible. I am available on most weekends and holidays. I only book one client at a time for boarding, so your pet(s) will have my full attention. I live in a quiet suburban neighborhood with a huge, unfenced yard. I own a variety of animal care supplies and equipment including lunge-line leashes to keep dogs safely on my property.

“Anna walked our dog several times a week over 3 weeks in January while my spouse was out of town and I at work. She was always right on time and took great care of our little girl - putting her jacket on (frigid cold weather they both endured!), wiping her paws, giving her treats - and always ensured the house was secure when she left. I'm so happy that I have a go-to person we can count on! Thanks Anna!!”

About: Hi im Angela, I got my first pup when I was 11 (beagle/border collie mix) and my first cat when I was 13 (grey American shorthair), I’ve pet sat for and walked different dogs and cats in my neighborhood/for family members since i was 12 and it’s always been something that’s brought me a ton of joy! I have experience giving oral medication and doing basic grooming (bathing, ear cleaning, paw wiping) and I’m good with dogs and cats of all ages, from kitties/puppies to seniors. If you let me care for your fur baby, they will surely be cared for like they’re one of my own! I currently work another job but my schedule is pretty flexible and can be moved around easily to come help out with any of your pups/cats needs. For safety and peace of mind, I always make sure to follow any instructions left/given as closely as possible, and I always contact the owner If there are any issues unless otherwise noted. As well as sending photos and updates upon request.

About: I have been a reliable pet sitter for neighbors, friends and family members for over a decade. Over the years, I’ve had huge success in gaining pet-sitting tasks through referrals and word of mouth. I’ve decided to bring my expertise to Rover in hopes of meeting even more fur friends! I try my best to replicate your pet’s daily routine and make sure they are comfortable and having fun at the same time. I often pet-sit at the pet/owners home to keep the pet in their natural environment, but I offer boarding at my own home, too! I am currently working full-time with the option to work remotely. Working remote allows me to provide the flexibility and time needed for pet sitting. I am available throughout the week and weekends for boarding, dog walking, and even check-ins. I live in a pet friendly condominium located in a safe neighborhood. Taking walks in the neighborhood is great. There are several trails for adventurous walks, too!

“Sam always does a spectacular job, our dogs absolutely adore her and she treats them with such love and respect that I honestly don't even worry when we're away because I know they're in good hands. She goes above and beyond to send pictures and updates and will sit with the pups after their walk to give them pets and talk to them. She always works with us to meet our time schedule needs for walks and treats our home with respect as well. I can't say enough about how much we appreciate that we found such a trustworthy and reliable walker for our two little dogs! They have the best time with her on their walks and when we come home from our trips they're less stressed and more just happy to see us because they've gotten proper exercise and lovins in our absence. Thanks again for the walks, Tater and Abby will be excited to see us leave next time so they can get more! Haha”

About: I'm a true animal lover with tons of patience and experience. I have 3 dogs at home and they are my best friends. I rescued Maggie when she was a year old 9 years ago, and raised my 2 Shiba Inu boys from puppies. I used to have 1 cat as well but she passed away due to old age. I work from home so I'm fairly flexible. I recently move to Burr Ridge area and I'm hoping to take advantage of my work from home situation and provide some help to people with a busy work schedule. My home is a single family house sitting on nearly an acer with a fully fenced backyard. So the dogs have plenty of space to run around safely.

About: I have been pet sitting since I was a teenager. It started with neighbors and family friends and grew from there. I have experience with senior animals, reptiles, rabbits, deer, and medication and pets with special needs! I’m currently in clinicals at the Naval Hospital Tuesdays - Fridays until mid May. Heather & Israel B.

“I've known Heather for about 16 years, she is one of the most genuine, caring, and sweetest people I've ever met! Something we have in common is our big love for animals. She has always been an AMAZING dog owner. Her dog Diamond is around 15 years old, she has always taken great care of her. Grooming, training, walks, contests, photoshoots, trips together, wherever Heather is Diamond is! That's what a true dog lover is to me, someone who really understands that dogs are family, they love you selflessly, and they aren't here for a long time, so we should always treat them preciously. Heather does just that! I would 100% trust her with my two fur babies!”
