About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid, including my black lab, Sadie. She taught me how to be thoughtful of how pets feel, and as she aged, how to clean up lots and lots of poop in the house! I believe pets deserve a happy alternative to being boarded, and I intend to give that genuine connection to any pet I encounter! I am currently on summer break from college, but I decided to stay in the area. I have a couple of part-time jobs, but they are only a few hours a day, so I can designate more time to taking care of your pets! I can be pretty flexible with hours and days, and I don't care what time of day it is to make sure your pet gets the attention they need. Pet safety is my top priority. I make sure pets are always in a secure environment—free from hazards, toxic plants, or small items they could swallow. I follow any routines or instructions you provide closely, from feeding schedules to exercise needs. As a collegiate athlete, I prioritize healthy foods and exercise, and I will make sure your pets do as well. In your home, I treat your space with respect and maintain a calm, comforting environment to reduce stress for your pet. I always supervise outdoor time and use secure leashes or fenced areas. You can count on regular updates and photos, so you feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for.

“Everything went well on our trip with Matthew doing a great job taking care of our 2 dogs for 2 nights. Both seemed to enjoy his stay and we would recommend him to anyone who needs a sitter.”

About: I'm an experienced pet sitter who loves spending time with dogs. I'm patient, reliable and, I treat your pet like family. I have owned and worked with dogs all my life (I'm 65) and feel this is a natural fit as I near and enter into retirement. I'm currently a full time pastor of a Lutheran congregation. The congregation is used to me bringing dogs with me to work. However, depending on the pet and the request of the owners, I can leave pets at my (or your) home and check in on them regularly. I am with them overnight. I do not have a fenced yard in my Condo so will walk them on a leash. I have my own fur baby, Annie, who absolutely loves other doggy companions. I work with each pet and client individually to ensure that we are meeting your needs. Crate trained animals are welcome but I've sat for many who roam free in the condo.
About: I worked in the veterinary field for 9 years. I have extensive experience with pets who have fear aggression or need special care due to anxiety or age. I have for the past decade been routinely petsitting or dog walking for friends. I am currently working part time, and my schedule is pretty flexible, so I am open most days to take love and care for your pets!! My main goal in any dog walking or sitting gig is that the pet and the owner are 100% comfortable with me. As a pet owner myself, I know how important our babies are to us. I want there to be no concern about my services provided. I want you to feel confident that I can provide the top most care when it comes to your furry loved ones.
“Alessandra took wonderful care of our 14 yr old dog. Our dog requires a little more attention when it comes to feeding and she was able to manage his needs. Alessandra communicated frequently and sent photo updates. Definitely recommend.”

“Shawntel was so amazing and made me feel so comfortable leaving my baby. She sent pictures multiple times a day with updates & made sure everything was neat and tidy when I got home. 10/10”

“Taylor was amazing! We came home to a clean house and a happy dog! Our husky moose immediately loved Taylor upon meeting her! She sent lots of pictures and kept us updated!! 😊”

“Eric was fantastic! Moose and mittens loved him. He messaged everyday with pictures to make sure we knew our babies were taken care of. Very nice and personable and trustworthy. Thank you so much Eric! We will definitely be using him if he’s available for our next trip!”
About: I have a dog of my own, and I’m away for college so I don’t see him much. I would love to connect with other dogs so I can feel more at home! I am currently a college student, so I have plenty of time to walk or visit your dog! I am available Monday-Thursday after 5pm, Friday after 1pm, and selective weekends. I have an electric fence at home which my dog has adapted to. I also make sure to walk him and play with him in order to keep him active, since he is an older dog.
“After our meet and greet, I felt totally at ease with leaving my Lucy in Emily’s care. She obviously loves dogs, that’s for sure! I went away this weekend feeling no anxiety about going because of that. Emily took excellent care of her, sending me occasional pictures. When I came home, Lucy was very happy to see me, and my house was still in perfect order. Emily is the best💕”

“We had Alexea for a long weekend. I would highly recommend her to watch your cat or dog. She took great care of my 2 kitties and the house. She sent us pictures of be our cats and watered all our plants outside. We came home to a perfect house!!”

“Absolutely Amazing!! Will definitely only be hiring her again to watch ANY AND ALL of my dogs when we need any sort of care. She was extremely thorough. I have a senior dog, a “special needs dog”- epileptic but young and playful, AND A a dog under two years old. They are well mannered but we have a care routine that she followed so thoroughly that made me relaxed as a worried pet mom. Thank you so much!!”

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have hands-on experience caring for both small and large breeds. I currently have two dogs of my own: a Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix and a Cane Corso/Boxer mix, so I’m comfortable handling dogs with very different personalities, energy levels, and care needs. Growing up, I was surrounded by dogs and horses, which taught me responsibility, patience, and how to read animal behavior from an early age. I’m experienced with feeding routines, walks, exercise, playtime, basic training reinforcement, administering lots of love and attention, and making pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I understand that every pet is unique, and I always make it a priority to provide dependable, attentive, and compassionate care tailored to each animal’s needs. I currently work full-time Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. During the week, I’m available for evening walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and nighttime check-ins after work. My weekends are much more flexible, which allows me to provide more availability for pet sitting, extended visits, walks, and additional care as needed. I always do my best to be reliable, communicative, and accommodating to both pets and their owners. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make safety and comfort my top priorities. I carefully follow all instructions provided by the owner, including feeding schedules, medication routines, walking preferences, and household rules. I always make sure doors, gates, crates, and leashes are secure before and after walks or outdoor time. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and environment to help prevent accidents, stress, or unsafe situations. I also keep communication open by providing updates and photos so owners can feel confident their pets are safe and well cared for while they’re away. Because I have experience with both small and large breeds, I understand the importance of patience, supervision, and adapting care to each pet’s individual needs and personality.

“Alisa did a fantastic job house sitting our two dogs over the week of Christmas, and was very understanding and flexible when a family emergency require us to extend our time away. We were worried how our Irish Wolfhound who's skiddish with strangers would do, but Alisa handled him amazingly and put our concerns to rest. She even had the house looking like we never left and washed the bedding and dirty towels (from muddy dogs) before she left.”

Painesville pet parents share their Rover experiences
Taylor took very good care of my Great Dane, cat and fish. She kept me informed of the days plans and checked in often with updates of my pets. Everyone was happy when I got home and the house was cleaner than I left it 😂 Thanks Taylor! Will be reaching out again soon for more visits!

This would be the second time having Charles watch my pups and I would ask him again and again. With Charles I never worry that my pups aren’t getting the best care. He watches over them like they are his own. Takes them outside to play, chills with them on the couch, sends me pictures and updates throughout the day, gave extra tender loving care to one of my pups when he was feeling sad and missing me and my house is clean when I return home. Thank you, Charles! We appreciate you! 🫶🏼

Can’t recommend Ellie enough! We have a dog that is a little rough around the edges (ok, a lot rough). Ellie took the time to slowly introduce herself to him, working to gain his trust. By the end of the week, I was getting photos of them snuggled up together! She sent lots of videos and pictures and was always reachable when needed. We will absolutely be rebooking with her in the future
