About: I have had the opportunity to take care of all types of animals over the years. I began pet/housesitting in my teenage years, have helped many family members and owned several wonderful cats and dogs myself! I would love the opportunity to help your pet not be so lonely on longer days! I have been working for a private practice (eye doctor) for nearly 10 years. They offer me flexible hours with long lunch breaks from 11am-1pm as well as 3 days off per week. I will not be able to host pets in my home as my dog doesn’t play well with others sadly. He is our guard dog and takes his job very seriously!

I have worked in all kinds of weather from rain to snow to sunshine, as long as it’s safe for myself and the pup. I know it can be difficult leaving your furry family with a stranger, so to help ease your mind a little, I am Cat and Dog First Aid certified through the American Red Cross I currently have a very flexible schedule, so I can easily work with you on what days and times work best. Currently available on short notice. I follow all instructions given to make sure they are properly cared for. I pay extra attention to their body language and adjust according to their needs in that moment. I always like to do a meet and greet first to make sure your pet will be comfortable with me.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs and always took the lead role in caring and training those in my family. I’m also a trained veterinary assistant so I am capable of handling just about every situation I come across with your canine companion. I am a senior at Purdue university studying Pre-Veterinary medicine. I am currently in Wooster with my fiance for the summer, and am looking for work on top of working on my veterinary school applications. I am well trained in animal handling and am comfortable walking dogs with an abundance of equipment. I can also easily crate dogs. About: Upfront: For housesitting: I do work midnights. I would be away from about 10/10:30pm until 7:30/8am. LSometimes I can rearrange things given enough notice. I'm 50 years old, and have mostly owned pit bull breed dogs, but I love all breeds. From 2010 to 2018, my APBT was trained as a therapy animal, we did hospital visits and library events with children. I taught him several tricks, such as left, right, speak, play dead. My current pit is a rescue and I am off leash training. Dog Walking: I work in the Kankakee area, so coming to walk your dog in Kankakee, Bradley, Bourbonnais, is NO problem! Either in the mornings (after 7am) and/or later in the evenings (8ish pm) it's all negotiable. I live in Iroquois county, so I have more availability to walk your dog if you are in that area. Pet Sitting: I can come to sit in your home, if that is preferred. I am also available to just come let them outside, spend time and play, feed, water, clean up. Boarding: I would love to open our home to your precious babies. Non smoking, fenced in yard, lots of walks in my small town. My dog friendly pup can't wait to play tag around the dining room table. All pets are welcome on the couches and have full access to the entire 1st floor, including the bed in the spare room. My husband and I work different shifts, so someone is usually always home. A maximum of 3 to 4 hours of an occasional overlap in shifts. I am able to crate your pet if preferred, or close off access to half of the living space. Before boarding, a few meet and greets are necessary. More details as we move forward. Cats: I will help with your cats, spending time, play, feed, clean litter boxes. I also have several years of experience with birds. I know how important socializing is to birds, and leaving them alone can cause problems and stress. Boarding of cats and birds can be discussed. Your dog is welcome on the couches and downstairs bed. Access to entire 1st floor. I can also crate if preferred. Baths and nail trims are no problem! I have a 60lb staffordshire terrier who loves all kids, people and dogs. It's playtime almost 24/7! Unless it's nap time and he's professional at that also!

I have driven to the far side of Texas, Arkansas, Canadian US boarder, Florida, Ocean side of Virginia and everything in between to rescue Giants from all walks of life and age. At the moment I have 4 St. Bernards, 2 Great Danes, a Mastiff and a Terrior Mix; all brought into my home at different times, at random ages and health; today I have a conducive healthy pack whom are open fed without issue. I have children from newborns to the elderly visit or stay without issue. I homeschool my 3 children. Hourly checks made on food supply available, washing and filling water dishes with clean fresh water. Fenced in dog play ground including tunnels, obstacles, shade and lots of sun! Each year we expand our dog park (1/4 of my yard completely fenced in from 3 access points including 2 walk out points from the house) boundaries and/or obstacles with the intent to keep our 4 leg family members safe, healthy, and happy.

I only watch pets in their home environments. This is less stressful/traumatic on pets, than a kennel stay. Also, your pet will avoid getting diseases from the other animals at kennel.
