Personalized care for your dog or cat - Oxford

Highly-rated overnight sitters - Oxford
“Mikey's stay with Lynelle was excellent. He is older and needs that extra attention from an in home experience. Lynelle updated me with a photo to let me know everything was going well. I was only visiting the area from out of state but I would book future daycare and overnight stays with Lynelle if I lived in the area. Highly recommended.”

About: I have owned and cared for numerous pets throughout my entire life. We currently own 2 dogs. I have experience with puppies through adult dogs. My preference for overnights and boarding are on the weekends (until May), but I am available for walks and drop in visits almost any day of the week. I enjoy all aspects of pet care and treat animals like family. Whether your dog needs a potty break or extra snuggle time if you're out of town, I'm there!
“Thank you so much for allowing Loki to stay with you! He had a great time! Especially for sending updates, pics and reassuring that he's doing well. First thing he did when we got home is fall asleep. He was so chill. Lol! I will definitely reach out next time!”

“Izzy stayed with Sherri for 6 nights while I was away on a trip. Sherri was kind enough to meet beforehand and introduce us to her family. She was patient with Izzy’s quirks and kept me updated on her well-being while I was away. We will definitely be returning customers!”
“She is amazing pet sitter! Her husband and two daughters, too! This is my first time using the Rover app, so I was concerned, but I was very lucky to find her! Thank you so much Okhyung!”

“Carrie is a great dog sitter. She is my "go to" person after struggling for some time to find a reliable and trustworthy sitter in the area. Mr. Barkeley and Willie Mae enjoy their time in Carrie's home. She regularly texts me pictures and updates while I'm away--which is comforting. I highly recommend her!”
“Megan was wonderful - met up with us in advance for a meet and greet, shared regular updates and pictures of Bella, and took overall good care of her, including when she got anxious and sick. She is punctual and conscientious. Megan also offers pick up and drop off, which is so convenient. I would greatly recommend!”

“Audrey was great! She kept us updated throughout our Poodle's stay at her house. Audrey made sure we felt comfortable and reassured. She sent regular updates and photos, which put our minds at ease. Audrey's home is clean and pet-friendly, and it's clear she loves animals. We will be booking with Audrey again in the future. We recommend her services!”

“I’ve used a lot of sitters here on Rover, and Jason is the best by a long shot! His love for animals shows in how well he takes care of them; my anxious girl LOVES Jason and knows she’s going to have a fun day every time she sees him. He’s a great communicator, and will always act in the best interest of your pet. Not to mention, I’ve gotten some of the best quality photos of my pretty girl from Jason!”

“Paul was able and willing to sit for Micah on Christmas. Micah actually whined when Paul dropped him off and watched him leave. He really likes him! He is dedicated and loyal.”

“Surama took great care of my dogs while I was away on a family vacation. Poppy and Rem came home tired and happy! She was flexible with pickup times when my flight home got delayed. I'll be booking with Surama again in the future! You can't beat tired and happy dogs!”

“Tarren was great with our dog. She sent updates and pictures that we greatly appreciated! This was our first time using her and we would definitely recommend her to others and use her again!”

“Marissa and her husband were so great with our high-energy pups! Her dog Dewey is sweet and playful with other dogs, and they came home exhausted. They had a clean, safe home and I would recommend her to anyone!”

“Hojoo and her family were so sweet! I am so glad I chose them. Her profile was exactly what I needed for my fur baby for a quick business trip. She treated Tito like family and he didn’t want to leave! So happy to have him make new friends!”

“Lucas proved to be an excellent choice for keeping my playful dog for a week. He's caring, responsible, friendly and very good at keeping the doggo happy. I was impressed by how good he handled everything, even keeping me updated on how she was with adorable photos. I'll definitely be giving Lucas a shout next time I'm in Decatur with Bosco.”

Cat caregivers near you - Oxford
About: I have had my own pets, cats and dogs, since I was very young and I have watched my family and friends animals for about 2 years now. They can rely on me to care for their animals when they are away from home for short or long periods of time. I take caring for others animals very seriously, and having a dog of my own, I understand how crucial it is to care for every one like your own. I graduated college in May 2026 and I am attending grad school starting Septemebr 2026. Between May and September I have full availability to care for pets, with no other commitments at this time. I have a big yard at my home, in the country where my dog roams. I always watch her because we do not have a fence, but sometimes we put her on a long leash to where she can run just as far as we would like. I am comfortable with leashing dogs. I have a cat that I adopted from the shelter as well. She was pregnant unexpectedly when I got her, so I helped her through prengancy, give birth, and now I have cared for the kittens as they are growing up and weaning off of their mom. I can also put the animal in a kennel if needed. Whatever is needed, I can make it possible!

“Mariana did a great job caring for Cosmo - taking him out for walks and to do his business. She also made sure he got his meds and followed up and got our house key back to us in a timely fashion.”

About: I've taken care of all types of dogs and cats from all age ranges. I love animals, and I have been animal-sitting since I was around 12 years old, for about 7 years. The biggest skills I have are being able to spend extra time with the animals to make them feel loved while you are away. I am currently working part-time and attending school part-time during the summer. I am very available to take care of your animals during the morning, day, and evening. I like to spend between 15 and 30 minutes with the animals between visits to make them feel loved, so they are less stressed. I make sure they are well fed and exercised daily and are enjoying their time while you are away.
“Marissa was just phenomenal for us!! We couldn’t recommend her more. From a great meet and greet to fantastic visits, we couldn’t be happier. We asked her to look after our cat, and it turned out to not be as easy as it sounds! The first day we found out she had been locked out, so the second vist she met with a locksmith who took a while to get there. She had lots of patience and was worried about our cat! I feel very grateful we had her watching our cat’”

About: I have taken care of many cats growing up. Usually, I would guilt my mom into taking them inside. I have lots of experience with litter box cleaning. I am also experienced in administering medications, even eye drops to spicy cats. I understand the patience that some cats require in building trust with people and am willing to take the time to build that trust with your cat/cats!
“I really appreciate Hannah looking over my pet. There’s truly nothing I can complain about and she always makes sure to send the best pictures! My cat loves her and I can tell because every time i’m back from a trip he doesn’t show signs of stress as he usually would when i’m away for a night or two.”

“Our beloved but skittish orange tabby was in great hands with Beth while we were away! She took the time to make sure she saw our cat every day even though she has a tendency to hide. Beth is such a great sitter, will definitely use again!!”

About: I have always had a special place in my heart for cats ever since I was young. I now own 2 of the sweetest most perfect kitties in the world and wouldn’t ask for anything else. I have been helping a family friend cat sit for about 2-3 years now including taking care of her outdoor cats!

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of cats my own ,and ones I’ve fostered, including moms with litters. I’m super patient and know how to read their moods, whether they’re playful, shy, or need space. I’m comfortable with litter box clean up, feeding routines, and giving meds if needed. I’ll treat your cat like they’re my own
“Emily has excellent communication skills. She touched base with us the first morning before the visit to make sure we were still traveling as planned. She would send a picture with each visit. The kitties were happy and well fed and cared for when we returned. After meeting her we were at ease with leaving her in charge of the kitties and our home. She is a very mature young lady. We will be booking her again.”

About: Hello! I’m Olivia. What sets me apart from other caretakers is my lifelong experience and genuine love for animals. I’ve lived with pets my entire life and also worked as an animal caretaker in my hometown, so caring for animals is second nature to me. I have experience with a wide range of breeds and personalities—from large dogs like Rottweilers and Bernese Mountain Dogs, to energetic Australian Shepherds, to small breeds like teacup Schnauzers, as well as cats. I enjoy working with pets of all ages, whether that means helping with the extra care senior pets need or providing the patience and energy for puppies. I also provide discounted bathing. As a student with open availability, I’m flexible and able to dedicate plenty of time to the pets I care for. I also welcome pets into my home, providing a safe and loving environment. Above all, I truly love taking care of all creatures, human or not, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I have open availability for pet caretaking, which means I’m flexible and able to accommodate different schedules. As a student, I can easily adjust my time to fit your pet’s needs, whether that’s during the day, evenings, or weekends. In my home, I make sure pets feel comfortable and safe by giving them plenty of attention, playtime, and a calm environment. I follow their usual routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, play, and any special instructions from their owner. Pets are welcome to relax wherever they feel most at home, and I make sure they always have fresh water, a cozy spot to rest, and lots of love. In a client’s home, I treat the space with respect while keeping the pet’s comfort and safety my top priority. I maintain their normal routine so they feel secure, and I provide companionship, exercise, and care just as if they were my own. Whether it’s walks, feeding, or extra cuddle time, I make sure every pet gets the attention and care they need.
About: Ever since I was a little girl we have always had a dog in the house so, when I turned 18 I adopted one of my own but after 16 1/2 years of loving her, I had to say good bye. Thus, sparked my motivation to help others care for and love their pet(s) when they’re in need. I have experience with puppys, potty training, leash & clicker training among other things! I love to execute play time and know the importance of expending energy. The dogs I have trained are very well mannered and learn to behave well around people and other pets & listen to commands. My friends rely on me often to dog-sit and I’ll often care for & hang out with their pets while they’re at work or out of town. I have experience administering medicine and taking care of them when they’re sick or recovering from surgery as well. I work from home and this leaves me with plenty of time to take care of your pet and expend their energy with play time and walks. Please let me know if there are any commands or tricks you are working on so that I can do the same. I am available for boarding and house-sitting during the week and during weekends. I do not currently have any pets so my attention will be focused on yours solely! Living so close to Sloans lake and various dog parks means that your pup(s) are getting great exercise and outdoor time (unless it’s too hot or cold for them). When it is too warm to be outside for too long I am making sure your pet(s) are staying hydrated and we stay active inside playing fetch, tug, and other fun games!

Perfect for high energy dogs - Oxford
“Emily was beyond amazing with my little Frenchie! Our family is going through a loss and we needed a sitter for our first puppy. She reassured me that Millie would be in good hands, sent me plenty of pictures and definitely helped my anxiety by knowing she was being well taken care of.Emily exceeded my expectations and honestly probably won’t let anyone else but her watch my baby girl. Thank you so much Emily! ?”

“Meg was absolutely fantastic and a life saver. Coming from Chicago, We got last minute tickets to the IU/Purdue game and were then headed to Indy to see family after. Needed somewhere to put the doggy for 3-4 hours. Even though she already had 2 dogs to watch, she accommodated us with essentially a couple hours notice and took great care of tyko. Thank you so much!”

About: I enjoyed having cats and dogs growing up. As an adult, I have taken care of both cats and dogs for friends. I also worked/volunteered at a local shelter for years. working with puppies. old, big, little and traumatized dogs. I can run with those that want to. Additionally, I’m good at fetch and tug-of-war. I have commercial auto insurance coverage for your pet in my care. And I have uploaded a copy of my PetCare Insurance in my photos that covers potential incidents in your home, my home and in the park. I’ve given medication’s. I will follow your instructions to the letter and I don’t have an opinion. I have a lot of free time while I’m working on a book and don’t really need the money. I just would love the experience. I think the most important part is safety. PetCare Insurance for the unforeseen, but vigilance eliminates a lot of that. Pets are often curious and you need to make sure they’re not getting into harms way. When I take your dog for a walk, I won’t be on my phone because you need to be on the lookout for potential danger. I can take your dog to the park, around the neighborhood, for a drive or just stand in the yard. It’s all up to you. I will follow your instructions without opinion.
“Jo and Jess are great dog sitters! They watched my small dog, Coconut, for one day of daycare and I plan on utilizing their services again. Jo is clearly great with dogs; my pup warmed up to her almost instantly and their personal dog, Ruby, is exceptionally well-trained and friendly with both people and other dogs. I would definitely recommend Jo and Jess!”

About: I'm 50 years old, and have mostly owned pit bull breed dogs, but I love all breeds. From 2010 to 2018, my APBT was trained as a therapy animal, we did hospital visits and library events with children. I taught him several tricks, such as left, right, speak, play dead. My current pit is a rescue and I am off leash training. Dog Walking: I work in the Kankakee area, so coming to walk your dog in Kankakee, Bradley, Bourbonnais, is NO problem! Either in the mornings (after 7am) and/or later in the evenings (8ish pm) it's all negotiable. I live in Iroquois county, so I have more availability to walk your dog if you are in that area. Pet Sitting: I can come to sit in your home, if that is preferred. I am also available to just come let them outside, spend time and play, feed, water, clean up. Boarding: I would love to open our home to your precious babies. Non smoking, fenced in yard, lots of walks in my small town. My dog friendly pup can't wait to play tag around the dining room table. All pets are welcome on the couches and have full access to the entire 1st floor, including the bed in the spare room. My husband and I work different shifts, so someone is usually always home. A maximum of 3 to 4 hours of an occasional overlap in shifts. I am able to crate your pet if preferred, or close off access to half of the living space. Before boarding, a few meet and greets are necessary. More details as we move forward. Cats: I will help with your cats, spending time, play, feed, clean litter boxes. I also have several years of experience with birds. I know how important socializing is to birds, and leaving them alone can cause problems and stress. Boarding of cats and birds can be discussed. As I'm nearing retirement from the Healthcare field, I would like to do more of what I love, which is caring for and spending time with animals. If I can do that for you, and ease your worry while you are away, it's a win for everyone! Reach out and let me help you today. As far as boarding your dog, my husband and I work different shifts, so someone is always home. A fully fenced back yard and good sniffer walks in my small town. Your dog is welcome on the couches and downstairs bed. Access to entire 1st floor. I can also crate if preferred. Baths and nail trims are no problem! I have a 60lb staffordshire terrier who loves all kids, people and dogs. It's playtime almost 24/7! Unless it's nap time and he's professional at that also!

“This was our first time using Rover. Beth was everything we could hope for. Our dog is pretty skittish, but Beth endeared herself to our anxious pup in no time. Beth communicated well, posted pictures, and did everything I asked of her. We highly recommend Beth and will definitely call on her again!”

About: I have grown up with all kinds of animals from a very young age. I’ve always thought that I liked spending time with animals more than people. And have always had a love for them. :) I work a part-time job that feels full time but that’s because I work with the public, however I’m trying to switch to something more flexible. Evenings work best for me but knowing ahead of time I can do mornings too. My cats have free roam as it’s equally their house, however I can put them away. If it’s your home I can do whatever is asked for me. For outside I have a lot of land but it’s open.

About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life! I have experience with dog sitting and dog walking! Always excited to meet a new puppy! I am free all afternoons! But if needed in the morning or evening let me know! I’m always willing to negotiate a schedule to whatever is easiest for you! Unfortunately I am in an apartment so I will not be able to pet sit at my home, but whenever your pet needs to go outside I will keep an eye on them (especially if there is no fence)! I am able to lead a pet into a crate if needed. If there is anything else you would like me to do while with your pet let me know!
“Anthony was a great dog walker! He handled my three medium-large dogs without any issue and braved awful weather with them. He also sent photos and a note about each walk, with I just loved.”

I am currently working part time as a server, but my schedule is very flexible. I am a recently graduated college student, with the hopes of going to graduate school in the coming semester. I walk my dog every day, I feed all of my animals at the same time every day, I keep regular vet appointments, and all of my animals are up to date on their vaccines and spay/neutering.

“Thank you so much for allowing Loki to stay with you! He had a great time! Especially for sending updates, pics and reassuring that he's doing well. First thing he did when we got home is fall asleep. He was so chill. Lol! I will definitely reach out next time!”

“She is amazing pet sitter! Her husband and two daughters, too! This is my first time using the Rover app, so I was concerned, but I was very lucky to find her! Thank you so much Okhyung!”

About: I have taken care of my parents senior dog in my home while they were out of town. Helped a former coworker with her dog, also in my home, while she was out of town. I have helped a friend of mine with their senior dog + 4 cats in their home as drop in visits while they were out of town. Since starting Rover, I have had multiple in home stays with dogs, and homes that have both dogs and cats. I work full-time from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. My morning routine includes leaving the house by 7:00 AM to take my child to daycare or school. Before departing, all pets in my care are taken outside, fed, and provided with any necessary medications. Depending on the proximity of your home, I may be available to stop by during my lunch break to check on and care for your pet. After work, I pick up my child from daycare and can typically arrive at your home around 5:00 PM. Upon arrival, dogs will be taken outside promptly and fed as needed. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to discuss specific care needs or scheduling. I care for pets with the same level of attention and compassion as I do my own. I follow each pet’s individual feeding schedule, ensure they always have access to fresh water, and administer any required medications as directed. Dogs are taken outside regularly for bathroom breaks and exercise, and I make time to play and engage with them to keep them happy and active. For cats, I maintain clean litter boxes in addition to providing consistent feeding, fresh water, and attentive care. I also enjoy offering treats when permitted; my daughter especially loves helping to give treats, making it a fun and positive experience for your pet.

“She clearly loves animals and I felt so good leaving Amaya in her care! I appreciated all the updates and fast communication as well. I am hoping to do another trip up there soon, and definitely would leave my dog with her again.”

About: Me and my husband moved to the U.S ten months ago from Sweden. I had a French bulldogg in sweden and miss him horribly. I have a soft spot for bulldoggs in general. But I love all animals and dogs. If you need help with walks or some nigths/days I'm here to help. If you need day or night sitting in the weekend I'm flexible with the hours. I can only do walks on evenings in the week, but all day ln weekends. I can not do dog boarding because the owner of the house dont permit diffrent dogs in the house. But i can petsit in your home.

About: I have had animals all of my life and have cared for them immensely. My family and friends say I have a special way with animals. I worked at a dog daycare and boarding facility for almost 2 years and got lots of experience caring for dogs there as well as opportunities to sit outside of it which has become a huge part of my life. I have knowledge and experience on all sorts of problems that may arise in both cats and dogs including cpr. I am currently a full-time purdue student who takes most classes online so I have plenty of time to care for your fur baby! I love going on walks so you can guarantee your fur baby will get some long peaceful and smellful walks! So far I have done both in-home and in my home. I make sure to have a specific wake up sleep schedule so my animals and the ones I have watched have a routine and care. As I mentioned before I love walks… so walks are guaranteed! In the clients home I make sure to provide the same level of care and attention to the pet as I would my own or in my own home!
“Really good! My dog stayed with Jessica and her family for 3 weeks, in which there were no problems at all and my dog had a lot of fun. She gave updates and contacted me about any decisions that they were going to make regarding my dogs care. Definitely will be contacting her again if I need to go away again.”

About: I have taken care of all ages of animals and all sizes. I have cared for diabetic pets, blind pets, and medicated pets. I am ready to take care of anything! I do not currently have a job, so I am willing to work whenever and wherever! If this ever changes I will make sure to change my availability etc! I try to make sure I know where the pet is at all times, or what the pet is doing. The last thing I want is to lose sight of an animal and put them in danger!
“Lauren was responsive, very friendly and easy to set up boarding arrangements with for our first reservation. Our dog was well taken care of and I recommend Lauren. She sent a few updates with photos, which was nice too.”
