“Annie was fantastic! We will use her again! The communication & pictures she sent made our trip away from our pet so much easier! Thanks for taking such great care of our Gracie!”

“Thank you to Cassie for setting my mind at ease while I was out of town for a couple of days and making sure my 4-legged kids were looked after. Greatly appreciate you and I know Lola and Gunner will be happy to see you next time!”

About: I’ve had a cat and two huskies growing up along with some fish and not that long ago a dwarf hamster! Unfortunately where we are living now we are not allowed to have a cat or a dog so I am missing having some fur friends! Hello! I work in the school district throughout the school year and I am hoping to help out some families with their fur babies! I will be available Monday through Friday after 4pm and into the evening time and then a little more availability on most weekends! I love to work out a time to either drop in to check on your fur babies or take them for a walk! When I was able to have my huskies I’d love to take them to the dog park and let them run around! But I would love to take your dogs for a walk or come and check in on your cats or other small animals as well! I have experience in cleaning cages or tanks or litter boxes as well! So I’d be happy to help out!
“Angelina did a wonderful job checking in on my three cats while I was on vacation. She sent lots of photos and updated me on how my cats were doing while I was away, which took a lot of weight and stress off my shoulders. Thank you very much! Would happily request again for any drop-in needs.”

“Lyn was terrific. My kitty's just adored her. She showed up every day on time, sent me pictures and gave me great comfort knowing that my animals were being cared for on my business trip. I highly recommend both lynn and Rover.”
“Kyla did a nice job watching our fur babies. They love her and we will continue to choose her services when we travel. Very helpful with grabbing our mail and assisting with our requests of the TV on and smoke detector. Thanks for the great job Kyla!!”

“Avaiyah did a great job with our spunky and overly friendly dog when we went on a very last minute trip to see family. We had never done anything like Rover before and have only ever used the same boarder, so we were hesitant to try it out, but she made it so easy and we will definitely be using her again!”

About: A pet is like a child. You love them and want the absolute best for them. As a former dog mom I understand how hard it is to find someone you trust to take care of your pet and love them while you’re gone. That’s where I come in! My schedule is fairly flexible most days so let me know your animal’s schedule and I will do my best to stick to those times! I no longer have any of my own pets as my 14 year old dog passed a couple years ago, but I help care for my parents cats often and love being around animals!
About: I have been a dog mom for 12 years and am experienced with both young and old pups. I will ensure that your pup receives the best care/love/attention while you are away! I have 2 smaller dogs that love the company of other dogs. I have a kennel and extra leashes for walking. Anytime the dogs are outside they will be leashed (for walks or potty) We are an animal loving home that will make sure your pup is treated like one of our own!
“Tara was great! I would rather not board the cats and keep them in their home and this was a great alternative and cheaper than boarding and less stressful for the cats. She asked questions to make sure she understood the cats needs and had great communication. We already have her booked for drop ins again. Thanks again Tara ❤️ We highly recommend!”

“Very kind, prompt responses, and wonderful problem solvers with our adult dog. They are our consistent helpers so we are able to enjoy our adult child, family trips, and extended family memories away from home. Thank you for loving our "Dudley"!!🙏🤗”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Owatonna. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
