About: I have always had dogs in my life, and I currently have 3 of my own. I worked in veterinary emergency and critical care for 2 years and spent several months at a fear-free general practice before needing to take a step back from vetmed. I have 6 years of personal experience with dog training and behavior, and spent some time volunteering for a rescue on the administrative end. I am very knowledgeable on dog behavior/body language and I am comfortable working with a wide range of temperaments, ages, and breeds. Puppies, medical/behavioral needs pups, and seniors are my specialty! I am also RECOVER CPR certified. My schedule is wide open most days, and we are a very active family! We frequently go for hikes and spend time with our dogs in nature. My whole world revolves around animals and I love being able to experience the great outdoors with dogs. I use reward-based/force-free handling techniques with any dog I interact with. I try my hardest to set dogs up for success in my interactions with them - I am not afraid to spend as much time as needed to gain the trust of a fearful dog before attempting to interact directly.
