DROP-IN VISITS Best for cats, dogs, small animals, chickens, and pets who prefer their own home and their own couch rules. Visits may include feeding, fresh water, litter, outdoor breaks, medications as instructed, basic tidy-up, and photo updates. Extended visits may be recommended for multiple pets, senior pets, or more involved routines. DOGGY DAY CARE Small-group day care is offered on a limited basis for dogs I already know. Care is calm, structured, supervised, and not a chaotic free-for-all. This is not a high-volume facility-style service. I plan my schedule intentionally to support well-defined care needs and clear timelines. This allows me to provide consistent, attentive care whether you’re traveling nearby or farther from home. Safety and consistency are always a priority. I follow established routines, respect household instructions, and pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, or comfort. Clear communication helps ensure a smooth experience while you’re away.

About: As a pet lover for my entire life, I am very open to who I will take in. I have taken care of my family’s dogs and cats. As well as friends’ pets as well. Not just our small pets. I worked on my family farm in the middle of Maine near Dover-Foxcroft. That included Horses, chickens, occasionally some cows and donkeys. I would love to take care of your pets for whenever you need me to. Just give me any details about them. Medical, whether they are in heat, spayed or neutered. Dashy is 16 year old Dashhound who was severely neglected and abandoned at 13 and Beau now 8 is a Rat Terrier mix adopted as a puppy. Both boys are very friendly, happy, healthy and quite spoiled. I work best senior, handicapped and terminally ill pets though the fee may change depending of medical need. About: I used to work in a Kennel and worked with many different breeds of dogs and cats. I have worked with mean dogs and lovely dogs. I have worked with senior dogs as well. Growing up I have always had animals in my house and I always plan to. I work at a senior care facility in 3 days a week, 12 hour shifts. Seeing as I do work long shifts, my mother is able to run over and let dogs out during the day. I help a friend out at Dirigo Pines every so often, usually for 6 hours, but can take breaks. Other than that I just sit at the house I'm at amd relax. I dont get out of work late, usually six and feed dinner when I get home. I dont have any pets at the moment, but always have throughout my life. I have had a deaf cat, senior dogs and small animals. I can give medication if needed. About: I've been taking care of cats as long as I can remember. I don't currently have a dog but I frequently take care of my aunt's Great Pyrenees and I've taken care of many other dogs. I have a very flexible schedule and I'm free any day of the week for sitting. I would be happy to take care of any kind of dog or cat. I usually consult the owner and try to stick to the pets regular schedule as close as possible. I usually visit dogs three or four times a day and do one or two walks and for cats I visit once or twice a day or as many times as the owner would like.

About: I've always had dogs or cats as pets. I currently have 2 dogs now. Dashy is 16 year old Dashhound who was severely neglected and abandoned at 13 and Beau now 8 is a Rat Terrier mix adopted as a puppy. Both boys are very friendly, happy, healthy and quite spoiled. I also have my Pet CPR & First Aid cert from Red Cross as well as some behavioral training. I work best senior, handicapped and terminally ill pets though the fee may change depending of medical need. I'm retired and I have full daily availability from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and some night time availability as well as overnights. I have a fenced/blocked back yard, another fur baby and plenty of room for them to play. Grass, gazebo and lawn Charis for them! The inside is spacious and safe for dogs and dog friendly cats.

Marty's a little shy and slow to open up at first, and Kirk made him feel safe and happy the first time he stayed with him while I was out of town for a full week during the holidays. Marty got to play with the other dogs that Kirk was taking care of in his large fully fenced-in backyard, so I knew he was having fun and not being overly anxious about me being gone. Kirk sent updates with videos every day. I'll definitely be sending Marty to Kirk's again, and I would recommend his services!”
