“Marilyn was amazing with our 3 dogs. Going to her beautiful property was like a vacation for them as well! She truly loves dogs and it shows. We drove out of our way to take them to her and would 100% do it again. Without a doubt, the best sitter we’ve used through Rover.”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care our dogs received while we were away! From the moment we left, we felt completely at ease knowing they were in such good hands. Our two dogs were treated like family, and it was clear they were loved and well looked after. They had plenty of exercise, playtime, and cuddles, which we could tell by their happy and relaxed demeanor when we returned. It was such a relief to know they were being cared for with so much attention and affection. Highly recommend Daniel & Carolyn to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog-sitter!”

“Elizabeth gave great care to my two dogs. They were very happy there. It was such a good experience. So much better than putting them in a kennel. She walked them twice a day and gave them love and attention. I will definitely board my dogs here again.”

“Jennifer took great care of Darby, which really put my mind at ease. She didn't do well at dog boarding, and Jennifer was the solution to our worries! We'll definitely book again!”

“Absolutely phenomenal to work with send me tons of pictures and videos and was constantly telling me how it is going, which helped with missing him I will be using multiple times in the future”

“Cheryl did an amazing job taking care of my high energy dog! She updated me daily with photos and texts. She was also incredibly flexible with our booking. I will absolutely book with her again!!”

“This was my 2nd time using the rover service and 2nd time leaving my fur baby with Magen. It was no surprise that she was amazing! My pup barely even noticed me and was walking towards the door to go inside without me even getting to say goodbye first, lol. She sent me updates & photos throughout the visit and it was only for one night this time. Communication has always been good and drop off/pick up both were good! She sent Ruben home with some little treats and he was a happy boy! I will leave my pup with her and her family any time I need! Thank you for taking such good care of my little dude! :)”

“Carissa took great care of my Nala. Nala hurt her leg a few days before we were going out of town and Carissa was very willing to give her the extra attention she needed! She will definitely be hangout out with Carissa again!!”
About: I’ve been a cat owner for about four years and have had a corgi in my life for the past year. I genuinely love animals and enjoy getting to know their individual personalities and routines. I work from home, which gives me lots of flexibility and allows me to provide plenty of attention, potty breaks, playtime, walks, and cuddles throughout the day. I work remotely from home, so I have plenty of flexibility to care for pets throughout the day. I’m only in the office on Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. I’ll care for your pet like I would my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re with me. I’m happy to follow their usual routine and any special instructions so they can feel right at home.
“Stefanie was wonderful with Ned. She sent pictures and video of his stay with her family! They even took him on a walk - bonus! We will definitely book with Stefanie again.”

“The boys had a great home (& backyard!) to play in while I was gone. I got a reassuring “they’re doing great” message a few hours after I’d dropped them off, and Michelle (and her mom) were wonderful pet caregivers. Mine came home happy & worn out from playing.”

“I was so nervous about leaving my dog with someone I didn’t know while I was out of town, but Paige completely put my mind at ease! She was amazing! She kept me updated with lots of photos and videos, which made being away so much easier, and I could tell my pup was having the best time. She was also incredibly flexible with my last minute booking, and I truly appreciated that. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and I’ll definitely be booking with Paige again. Highly recommend!”

“Geree is wonderful! I can tell she takes great care of my pup because when we returned for a second stay, he walked right into her house like he owned the place (and my pup is usually a little anxious). So thank you! We will be using her again!”

“Nicole watched our 2 dogs and cat for over a week and was amazing! She left our house perfectly picked up and sent lots of pictures and updates! Would definitely hire her again when we go out of town next!”

About: I’ve had cats and dogs from the time I was 10 and everything from a St Bernard to cats. I can ensure you that your pet will be cared and lived for while they are with me. I currently work from home and can provide around the clock watch care. When I’m not working I like to spend my time with my cat and dog. For drop in care I can take your dog on walks or whatever you would like. If it is overnight care in my home they can have as much outside time or as little as they like. I have a fenced yard as well. I do not provide overnight care at the clients home.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Oskaloosa home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Oskaloosa.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Oskaloosa sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KS ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
