“Hillary did an amazing job watching our two dogs. We booked only a couple of days in advance, but Hillary still made time to come to meet us and the dogs before our trip. Our shy dogs liked her immediately and she didn’t mind our extra details. She checked in with an update each visit and even sent photos. It was great to travel knowing that the pups were so well cared for. We will definitely be booking with Hillary again.”

“Evelin came over twice prior to our drop-in visit to meet our two very apprehensive Mini Aussies and I think that went a long way in them being comfortable with her when she came in alone. We are very grateful for such wonderful care!”

“Chloe is definitely our go-to for drop in or overnight visits! She always keeps us updated on how our two dogs are doing and sends the cutest pictures. The dogs adore her! We’ve been using Chloe for a little over a year now and will continue to do so. :) Thanks for everything, Chloe!”
“Natasha is a great sitter. She took great care of our cats when we were out of town for the holidays. We were nervous about using a new sitter but Natasha was willing to first have a virtual meet and greet and then stopped by to meet the cats and get aquatinted with our home. She was a great communicator. She made sure the cats were fed, to played with them and scooped their litter boxes. She also took care of of details like wiping cat eye goop and leaving the place very tidy. Natasha is a great sitter.”

“Ernesto did an amazing job while taking care of our dog. He put our minds at ease by giving us updates during every visit. We had a great experience with him and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring person to watch their pets. We will be using him again.”

“Stephen was fantastic. He came to my rescue for my cat as the other sitter I had was not working out and I was already overseas. He came and spent more time than request with Reno.”

“Responsive and responsible as always, and has really done more than anyone else - even my parents! - to earn our very shy girl's trust and friendship. We couldn't be happier!”

About: Hi! My husband and I have over 8 years experience with taking care of cats, dogs, small animals, reptiles and amphibians. I’m a passionate animal lover and a dedicated pet caregiver based in North Carolina. In addition to providing pet care through Rover, I am also a volunteer with the SPCA, where I help care for cats and support animal welfare efforts in my community. I have experience caring for cats with a variety of personalities, from playful and social cats to those who are shy or need extra patience and reassurance. I understand the importance of maintaining routines, keeping litter boxes clean, providing enrichment and playtime, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I believe every pet deserves individualized care, attention, and kindness. Whether your cat needs a quiet companion, daily care visits, or extra affection while you’re traveling, I will treat them as if they were my own. I am reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to keeping pet parents updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I work remotely from home, which allows me to spend most of my day with the pets in my care. Aside from occasional gym visits and errands, I am typically home throughout the day and evening. This means your pet will receive plenty of supervision, companionship, and attention rather than being left alone for long periods. I can easily accommodate feeding schedules, medication routines, playtime, and regular check-ins throughout the day. I enjoy a quiet lifestyle and spend much of my free time at home. When I’m not working, I often relax with my cat, enjoy outdoor activities, or go fishing, but I always plan my schedule around the pets in my care. Your cat will stay in a clean, quiet, and pet-friendly apartment with plenty of space to relax, play, and explore. My home is filled with cat toys, scratching posts, cozy resting spots, and enrichment activities designed to keep cats comfortable and entertained. I currently have a friendly and outgoing rescue tabby cat who is well-socialized and enjoys meeting new feline friends. However, I understand that every cat is different. For cats who prefer their own space, I can accommodate gradual introductions and provide separate areas to help them feel safe and comfortable. Safety is always my top priority. I keep a cat-friendly environment and closely supervise all interactions to ensure a stress-free experience for every pet in my care.
“Violet was a super prompt communicator and had no issues taking over on caring for our cat, Miso. She even traversed rough storm weather to check on her when we were out of the country. Would def book again!”

“Emily was excellent for my boys! She went out of her way and certainly went above and beyond for them! I have an extremely shy dog who did really well with her, and they both seemed very happy throughout each visit and when we arrived home. The notes and images were great during each drop in visit/walk. I 100% recommend and would definitely book her again in the future!”

“Ali is simply a lovely human. My dogs took to him immediately. Gus was especially excited to meet his new friend and Ali responded with nothing but patience and understanding. Ali has an energy that is simultaneously enthusiastic and calming. We’re excited to have him back :)”

“Jesse was amazing! We are a dog who is fairly skittish around new people and Jesse was able to get him to be comfortable around her and come out of his shell while we were away! She communicated regularly and always sent pictures from her visit! Will definitely use her in the future!”

About: Hello! My name is Nicole and I have one pup of my own. Her name is Kona and she’s a Labrador/English Pointer Mix. I enjoy spending time with dogs of all sizes and will tire them out with play and exercise! I have been around dogs and puppies my whole life and come from a large family so I'm comfortable around many people and furry friends! I look forward to being your sitter/walker! I work from home so I’m available to care for dogs all throughout the day. I have a crate at home if needed and a couple extra dog beds. We have land for dogs to roam, but also walk regularly. My dog is a great companion and loves playing with other dogs! We don’t have a fence so dogs with good recall will enjoy it here the most.
“I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Jordan. She means it when she says she will care for your pets like they are her own, and she proved that to us in a way I won't forget. Jordan had checked in on our dog a couple of times the first day and again the following morning. On her last scheduled visit, she walked into the house to find that he had destroyed the kennel we were keeping him in and completely shredded a tarp. Instead of simply completing her check-in and leaving, Jordan immediately became concerned that he may have swallowed some of the tarp and could potentially have a blockage. I was still hours away from home, and Jordan insisted on staying with him until I could get back because she didn't feel comfortable leaving him alone. After talking it through, we decided the safest thing was to have her take him to a pet urgent care rather than wait for me to get home. Jordan did not hesitate for even a second. She took him to the vet, stayed with him, kept me updated, and made sure he was safe until I could get there. What was supposed to be a simple check-in turned into an incredibly stressful situation, and Jordan went so far above and beyond anything I could have expected from her. When someone is caring for your pet, you're trusting them with a member of your family, and Jordan treated our dog exactly that way. I will forever be grateful that she was the person looking after him that day. She truly means it when she says she cares for your pets like she does her own. I could not recommend Jordan more. ❤️🐾”

“Andrei did an excellent job taking care of both of my dogs. I highly recommend him for any breed. I have a large mastiff, and he and Andre instantly bonded. Andrea is also very communicative and responsive when needed.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Osgood. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
