“Our first time using rover and I could not have picked a better or more communicative sitter. Jessica had an unfortunate interaction with my dog. He was frightened and unexpectedly aggressive and bit her while she was harnessing him to go potty. Im mortified that this happened, and hope this doesn't affect her ability to trust other pups. She was great at giving immediate feedback, messaging my emergency contact (because i was out of range of service). Her communication let me know how to prevent an accident in the future. Service was very thorough and appreciated.”

She kept to our walking schedule, sent pictures and communicated to let us know when she was with them and how they were doing. She even went a step above and washed out their food/ water bowls and cleaned their crates! Barbara was so kind and her love for animals was apparent from the first time we met. When we returned we could tell our dogs and cats agreed! Clearly they were happy and comfortable with her. We've had a horrible experience with someone else before, so I'm extremely thankful to have found someone who truly sees our pets as family the way we do.”

About: I have experience living with and taking care of many different animals ever since I can remember! I love animals and enjoy looking after them. I currently work part time and have a lot of free time during my days, I enjoy running/walking in Bidwell park already almost daily, so that would be a great place for some exercise for any dogs that would enjoy joining me. I have a small yard in my complex for potty and play purposes and have plenty room for a crate if needed. I have roommates that are dog lovers that would also enjoy providing play time while in our apartment/communal spaces.

“Congratulations on choosing Athena ... I have an established (10 years in area) pet sitting & training business with a small client list. I utilize Athena's services when I need an extra body, and she is available. She has been excellent with all the dogs and homes. Some of the pets include a 2-year-old 120# bully/mastiff and her sidekick 12-year-old terrier (with total attitude), a 4# 15-year-old teacup Chihuahua (totally spoiled), an 8-year-old Rat Terrier/Jack Russell, an assortment of terriers in one home (3, with 2 in diapers), as well as a 14-year-old 120# aggressively reactive Shepard/mix. I also have four dogs, 3 border collies (one is deaf) and a Pit/Lab and a parrot. Athena house/pet sits for me as well. She consistently follows client specific directions and instructions on house, pet and yard care, to the letter. My policy, which Athena follows without any hesitation ... "you only know I was there because your pets are happy, well cared for and relaxed, stress free. You won't find a mess in your home upon your return". I trust her to show up, do the feedings, love and pet them, keep them safe and happy, walk them when necessary, and to be 100% reliable! And oh .. do pets love her!”

This was our first time having her watering some plants for me too, which is scary for me because I have invested blood sweat and tears as well as time and resources into my garden. About: I grew up with anywhere from 4-6 dogs In the household. My mom loved to always rescue the dogs she saw on the way home from work. I always loved having the company around I am a part time working mother and always looking for soemthing to do. So taking care of a cat while getting some cuddles is a good use of my free time My pet gets bathed weekly. Walked every day and taken to the park 3 times a week. She's eats a healthy consistent diet as well
