About: Growing up my family always had tons of pets, from chickens to dogs so I am well versed in experience taking care of pets! I understand that your fur baby is just that, your baby and I will do everything to ensure they are loved, taken care of and safe while you are off at work, vacations, etc. I was a college athlete so I still keep a fairly active lifestyle with going for long walks and runs and would love to take your fur baby along with! I typically go for long walks and runs and spend time outdoors! I know that dogs need a lot of exercise daily just as do, so I will ensure they are getting an appropriate amount for their age, breed and energy levels. I treat all pets as if they are my own. When I was in college I played softball so I would be gone for days at a time. So I know first hand how difficult/scary it is to leave your loved one in the hands of a caregiver. I can ensure you though while you are away your dog is taken care of and loved just as your care and love them!!

About: I’ve grown up with many cats and different types of dog's. I had a dog that was 19 years old and have been self training my current dog since I got him. Im currently a student at Chico State so I have plenty of time after classes and school. I have plenty of time to walk and play with your pets after 2pm on most weekdays. I make sure there’s no way to escape or places that can hurt your pet if it gets in those places. I would make sure to be attentive and make sure I know what they’re up to.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 12 years old. I have experience with dogs who have special needs, specifically, neurological disorders requiring medication administration. I’ve spent the last two years training my dog, Bubba, through separation anxiety and reactive aggression. He went from chasing cats to occasionally taking naps with them. My first dog, Lilly, was reactive to dogs and when I brought home Bubba as a puppy, my family called him “snack” because they didn’t think it was possible, but she immediately took him in and they were inseparable for 7 years! I’ve always been gifted at reading animals - humans, not so much. I will always advocate for those who can’t advocate for themselves :) I’m available every day, whenever you need! I recently quit my job and needed a fun way to get a little extra cash before moving to the PNW! Unfortunately, my dog is an anti-social introvert and doesn’t like visitors. His house, his rules… However, I’m more than happy to care for your pet inside of your home!

About: I have experience caring for dogs and cats for friends and family, including feeding, walking, playtime, cleaning up, and sticking to their normal routines. I understand how important consistency is for pets, and I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. As a college student, I have a consistent weekly schedule that allows me to dedicate reliable time to pet care. I plan my classes and study hours carefully, which makes it easy for me to provide structured walks, feeding times, and quality attention. I’m responsible and understand the importance of being dependable. In a client’s home, I respect their space and maintain their pet’s normal routine to reduce stress. My priority is making sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for at all times.

About: Currently have a dogs and a cat. Was up to 8 cats and 2 dogs after rescuing a litter of and an single orphane. I also rescued my own dog as well after she was abandoned by a friends roommate. I have had animals all my life as well. Even farm animals due to participating in FFA I can help continue house, crate, leash, etc. train while i care for them. I am not a certified trainer but I've gone through training with my own and feel comfortable implementing your routine while watching your pet. I can also bathe animals if needed I work randomly at Kay Jewelers and have a son I have about 75% of the time. I am available during most of the work week and weekend. I have been given mostly closing shifts so evenings are busier for me than mornings. My life is work and home, and when I'm home I'm always looking for a reason to be out of the house. I believe any proper teaching, training, caring or interacting is done through positive reinforcement. Following your house rules and understanding the needs of your pup is important

About: Ive always had a special bond with dogs. I have had the privilege of owning and having my 2 best friends in my life. They were an English bulldog and a rescued German shepherd . They have both crossed the rainbow bridge and they live in my heart forever. I helped trained our german shepherd which took a lot of work. I love to run and workout, so I would love to run with your dogs if they need to burn off some energy. I consider myself a big goofball, so I have a blast playing around with dogs. I'm very protective over dogs and will guard them with my life. Im a very honest person and loyal. Dogs truly bring out a lot of joy, peace, and serenity to me being around them. I live in a very nice pet frirendly community. I have a house with a fenced back yard. This is my current full-time job is taking care of dogs. So when caring for your dogs. Im with them 24/7. Im trying to create something bigger in the future with caring for animals. This is just a beginning for me here on rover When boarding dogs. I live in a house with a fenced back yard. I never ever will leave your dog alone. Iam the 24 hour dog sitter. So this is 24 hour day job for me All my attention will be on your pets. I am animal sitting full-time. So my main focus is to keep your pets safe and fun I can provide 24 hour care for your pets. Where they never have to be alone. I can provide lots of walks and runs and make sure they are always safe. When walking your dogs I never let them off leash and I never let any kids or people or any other dogs approach your pets for safety precaution I will be a big goofball with your pets and play with them but I'm also very protective and safe with your furry loved ones I've never had an instant ever occur because I'm very careful and want to make sure that your pets are safe and they're having an awesome fun time. I will send you lots of videos and pictures throughout the day and updates on how your dogs are doing a lot of my clients have cameras in their house so they feel a little more comfortable and at ease with somebody in their house staying with her pets which I totally understand I'm saying this to help you put your mind at ease that I have nothing to hide and that my main goal is to make sure that your pets have fun and feel loved while you're away on vacation

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Anita

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of November 2026, there are 329 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Anita. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Anita. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
