“Janet was such a gift to us and our pup. She was extremely tentative to her needs. She paid close attention and took thoughtful, mindful care of our girl. We could not recommend her any more highly. We will certainly be reaching out to Janet in the future!”

About: I have experience taking care of all shapes, sizes, and attitudes of pets. I have yet to meet an animal I don’t like! I understand that finding proper pet care can be stressful, I would be more than happy to help minimize these worries. I treat all fuzzy/furry creatures as if they are my own, in the same way I’d want my babies to be cared for. I am a current graduate student, so I have a somewhat flexible schedule. I find that I have availability for a least several hours each day if not entire days. Your pet’s safety is my number one priority! I can offer services such as simple walks and checks-in as well as more in-depth care such as staying with the animals for extended periods of time.
“Allison was great with our shy Lola! She stayed with her a few nights. We got many updates, and photos. At her meet and greets Lola was very timid, as she is with everyone. By the second day, Allison had her on a leash for walking. That was a pretty big deal! The communication was great! We got stuck in the airport, and it was easy to contact Allison to come to our rescue! Well done! Thank you! Jody and Todd”

“Jaime is an excellent house sitter and dog caregiver. Cooper loved him. He was very thoughtful in taking care of the house and even pitched in on a chore or two that was above and beyond. Checked in as requested. Highly recommend.”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the deep respect, love, and attention I give every animal in my care. I truly believe animals show us how to love, live in the moment, and connect with the world around us. Because of that, I see caring for pets as more than a job — it’s a responsibility I take seriously and a relationship I genuinely value. My dedication to their care, comfort, and protection makes me a strong advocate for their joy and safety. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality, routine, and emotional needs so they feel secure, understood, and loved while their owners are away. I have experience caring for pets of all ages and temperaments, including energetic young pets who need patience, consistency, and exercise, as well as senior pets who benefit from gentleness, extra monitoring, slower walks, medication support, and calm companionship. Whether a pet wants to play, cuddle, explore, or simply rest quietly nearby, I adapt to what makes them happiest and most comfortable. My goal is always to create a peaceful, loving environment where pets are treated like family and owners feel complete peace of mind. Every day starts with pets first. The morning begins with fresh water, a snack if needed, and then straight outside to the fenced backyard for a potty break. For dogs, the next part of the routine is one of my favorites — a 3–4 mile walk to help them get exercise, stimulation, and a happy start to their day. After the walk, we settle in for breakfast if that’s part of their routine. Because I’m home throughout the day, pets are never left without attention for long. While I’m cleaning, kitchen prepping, or working around the house, I take frequent breaks for cuddles, playtime, and backyard visits. Whether it’s dogs or cats, I make sure every pet gets regular affection, attention, and companionship throughout the day. I truly enjoy creating a calm, loving environment where pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for like family. I care with attention, intention and detail. I check in often and spend time just sitting with and talking to. I give So much LOVE.
“We love Caitlin! I’ve used her twice already and will more than likely again. She is responsive and communication is amazing. She sends daily pictures of our Jade too when we are away. Jade loves her too every picture is a smile :) Caitlin also stays overnight in our home and we trust her it’s like she was never here. She’s the perfect sitter highly recommend!”

“Kayla's was great - total animal lover! She sent photos of my boys and I could tell they were very happy in her care. Her communication was great - letting me know when she walked them, when she was going to be away, and reaching out with any questions. She took care of my home and even offered to water my plants if needed. She was wonderful - great experience!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets my entire life (dogs, cats, horses, cows etc.). Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to check in, feed, walk, and spend quality time with their pets. I’m patient, responsible, and attentive, and I make sure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. I grew up with blue heelers, so I’m very comfortable with high-energy dogs and understand the importance of exercise and engagement. I also have a senior dog (2012) and two French bulldogs, so I’m used to being attentive to different needs, energy levels, and routines. I have experience with both active and more relaxed or older pets, and I always try to match their pace and personality. I’ll treat your pet like my own and make sure you feel confident and at ease while you’re away. (I do not have experience with exotic pets like birds, fish, reptiles, or small mammals like guinea pigs but am willing to learn) Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I have a consistent schedule and am able to plan my day around visits, walks, and check-ins. I already care for my own dogs daily, so feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and attention are a regular part of my routine. I’m reliable with timing and understand how important consistency is for pets. I’m a teacher about to begin summer break and will have an flexible schedule with early morning, afternoon and evening availability. I always prioritize safety, consistency, and making pets feel comfortable in their environment. In a client’s home, I stick closely to their pet’s normal routine—feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions—so things feel familiar and low-stress. I pay close attention to behavior, energy levels, and any changes to make sure pets are doing well. I’m very mindful about safety during walks and visits, including secure leashing, monitoring surroundings, and keeping a clean, calm environment. I also respect your home and make sure everything is left exactly how I found it. With my own dogs, I’m used to managing different needs and personalities, including a senior dog and two French bulldogs, so I understand how important supervision, patience, and attentiveness are. My goal is always to make both you and your pet feel safe, comfortable, and confident while you’re away.
About: Hi there! I’m Kris, a passionate animal lover with 30 years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. Whether your pet loves long walks, belly rubs, or cozy naps on the couch, I make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. While I am new to the Rover app. I am not new to giving you peace of mind that your pet (of any size breed, fur or scales) will be taken care of. I work in the medical field so am comfortable with any special needs or medications should the need arise. I am also a certified (not officially) belly and head scratcher of all animals and am more than capable of playing fetch at great lengths. I will make sure to communicate with you on how your pet is doing, and am happy to provide pictures if requested. I currently work full time two days a week in the medical field. This allows for ample time off to walk, play, or drop in to check on your four legged friends. My schedule is flexible and I don’t mind holidays as long as I am in town. I currently live in an apartment so dog sitting in my home is extremely limited at this time. I am more than happy to schedule a meet and great to get to know you and your loved ones needs and style. I am also happy to take your dog out on walks, have playtime, and any needed cuddle time to help you feel better when you’re away.

In my own home I do my best to always make sure my cat has several sources of water and a clean litter box and plenty of ways to entertain herself while I’m away. While caring for others’ pets I make sure to follow instructions closely and follow established routines.

About: I grew up on a farm just outside of hutch, so we had a large variety of animals, including but not limited to cats, dogs, and even a tortise at one point! I’d love to help meet all your needs and your animals needs in anyway possible! I recently moved to new mexico, but i am at home all day everyday! I am currently a travel nurse, but I am home a lot with my schedule, so my 5 cats and 1 dog, all are fully vaccinated get a lot of one on one time. But I love taking care of animals so that’s why I’m doing this. It fits really well into my ever changing routine. I currently live in a 56 foot Sanibel camper, but it is a pet friendly camper. My 5 cats Jezabell, Bogey, Penner, Don Julio, and Eve are very friendly and easy to get along with. They have free range food, as i tried to limit it and it just wasn’t working for them so Im trying this and it seems to work very well for them. They also have whatever they could ever want in water and toys, and I clean their litter boxes at least once a day to make them happier :) Ripley goes on walks morning and night, and is out of her kennel all day with me most days. But she is crate trained and very respectful but also playful!

The average cost for House Sitting in Organ on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 179 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Organ. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Organ walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Organ maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Organ choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
