Mostly after 330 pm but I am open to adjustbmy schedule if your not to far away. Saturdays and Sundays pretty open I play a lot by ear as I have kids. I raised most of my animals in quiet settings they are used to kids too. I can match any environment needed for animal in question.

About: I love the dog , They are very affectionate and family-oriented; I look after them with a lot of love, even though I don’t have any of my own at home. My daily routine is well-suited for pet care, as my job has a flexible schedule. And when I look after pets, my time is devoted entirely to them. I keep my pets inside the house and take them out to the garden to relieve themselves and play for a while; I also walk them around the neighborhood, and they have their own designated spaces inside the house where they can move about freely.
About: I consider my pets my children! I work full time and love the chance to relax and unwind by hanging out with my best friend, Chance, my dalmatian. I have had at least one dog since I was born and have had my own loving balls of fur for the last 7 years. I am hardworking and reliable and would love the opportunity to love your pets with the same love that I have for mine. I have extensive experience working with animals in my personal as well as professional life I have been a vet tech for the last 4 years. I also have experience with cats, chinchillas, ferrets, ball pythons and other small reptiles, rabbits, and horses. Animals are my life, you can trust your fur baby in my hands.
About: I’m someone with a big heart and a genuine love for animals, and I treat every pet as if they were part of my own family. I understand that every dog is unique, so I tailor each visit to their physical abilities and comfort level. If your pup is full of energy, we can play fetch, explore, and enjoy active time together. If they prefer a slower pace, we can cuddle, relax, and soak up plenty of gentle attention.I 100% want every animal to be my friend. I mainly do the weekends as I am a full time employee and pet parent of my mini monsters. If you are needing a drop in during the week it would have to be after 7. My Animals are my priority and i work hard so my babies have a good life in the air conditioning/heat and have plenty of love
“This was the first time that I have ever done anything like this! And Emma was absolutely amazing. She was on time. She was compassionate and she treated my animals with a genuine love and compassion like I said this was my first time doing this so I was really scared. But she made me feel a lot better. She took pictures of all of my babies and updated me the whole entire process and everything worked out so good. I would definitely be using her again. She was amazing with someone that has a lot of anxiety she was able to calm that down, knowing that my animals were safe overall it was an absolutely great experience 10 out of 10. Thank you so much for watching my animals on the Fourth of July I know it wasn't long, but you still took the time out of your day to come watch my babies for 30 minutes and that means the world to me so thank you so much you're the best and I hope you have a happy fourth and if anyone is reading this, she is literally the best I would choose her over my family members any day”

“Eleanor was fantastic! She sent us pictures from each drop-in and even picked up some pillow fluff that the dogs destroyed. Could not be happier with having her for our babies while we had to be gone.”

About: Hi, and thank you for visiting my profile. I have been caring for animals since the age of five and have developed extensive hands-on experience over the years. I currently own and care for a variety of animals, including three horses, two sheep, a dog, three cats, a flying squirrel, and a chinchilla. This diverse background has given me valuable experience in handling pets of all types, sizes, and temperaments. I am confident in my ability to provide reliable, attentive, and compassionate care to animals of any age or breed. I am also skilled in basic training techniques and can assist with bathing and giving medications as needed. My approach is always patient and respectful, ensuring your pets feel comfortable and safe in my care. I look forward to the opportunity to meet you and your beloved pets. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or specific needs. I currently work PRN at the hospital, which means I pick up shifts when I want to! My typical hours when I do work are 7pm–7am. I’m also a full-time nursing student, but even with my busy schedule, I always make time for your pets. When they’re in my care, they’ll stay active, engaged, and loved—chances are they’ll be happily worn out by the time you return!
“If you are looking for a great pet sitter, then Courteney H. is the one you want. The only downfall was that my cats are extremely shy around others but she showed patience with them and even sent me a few pictures of them while I was on my trip. She followed all of the instructions to the letter and even picked up my mail because I forgot to put a hold request in at the post office. I will always use her services from now on with each trip I take.”

About: Hi! I’m Kembra, an active duty Army Logistics Officer based in Kentucky, a military professional, and a proud mom. My career has taught me the importance of responsibility, attention to detail, communication, and caring for others, qualities I bring to every pet I care for. I’ve always had a love for animals and understand that pets are family. Whether I’m taking your dog for a walk, stopping by for a visit, or caring for them while you’re away, my goal is to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved in your absence. My dog, Milo, of 12 years ( shown in my profile) has just recently passed away due to old age, so having a reminder of being around a persons best friend, is also so very cherished, through the sharing of others fur babies . I know what it means to have a “Man’s best friend” in this case , a woman’s . I’m dependable, patient, and believe every pet deserves individualized care. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, dietary needs, medications (if applicable), favorite activities, and any special instructions so I can provide the same level of care they’re used to at home. As someone who values structure and consistency, you’ll receive regular updates, photos, and honest communication so you always know how your furry family member is doing. I enjoy staying active, so long walks, playtime, enrichment activities, and plenty of affection come naturally. Whether your pet loves adventure or simply wants someone to relax beside them, I’m happy to meet them where they’re most comfortable. I have a clean, safe environment and understand the trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. My priority is giving you peace of mind while making your pet’s experience as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member!

Samantha was amazing. She kept me informed and sent daily pics. She made me feel so much better about being away from my Sarah. She spent time and even had her kids come along on some visits to play with Sarah. I highly recommend her for any of you pet sitting needs.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
