About: Here to help you by providing a home away from home for your canine companions when you can't take them with you. For busy puppy owners, I can help during your busy work day with the important task of raising, training, and socializing your 8-16 week old puppy. I have over 30 years teaching a high school Career Tech Animal Science Program, 11 years working with puppies and adolescent dogs in service dog organizations. I am currently retired and keep a flexible schedule. I can do traditional overnight and daytime care. For very young puppies, I can assist with crate and manners training, teaching cues, and socializing. I have a fenced back yard and a wooded area behind my house that we can explore on leash or long line. I have an 11 year old Labrador Retriever, Kinsey, who is a retired breeding dog from a service dog organization. She is very good with puppies and all around sweet natured, special gal. I have several dog safe areas in and outside my house. We can hang out on my front porch or my big back deck as they are gated. I have a puppy room that is more like an all purpose room for whelping, training, or grooming. I have nice training area in my basement as well. My living room can be turned into a puppy paradise by adding larger play equipment that puppies can climb, crawl under, and balance on to satisfy their physical needs and grow their confidence. I have crates and can offer assistance with crate training. I can provide engaging enrichment activities as well. I also have a wide variety dog toys, something for everyone!

“Lisa was so helpful with Hank and he always has the best time with her. She kept me updated the whole time and made everything so easy! Thank you Lisa!!”

“Beth was great! Sent pictures and very kind. My Ollie took the biggest nap when we got home.. I can only assume he had the most fun playing with her dogs :)”

“Celene is legitimately the best dog sitter you could ask for. She not only is an early riser but is a night owl. Celene sends updates and ask questions without even being asked. She not only puts effort in towards jaxsons training she has even went out of her way to teach us on how we could be doing different/better. Celene also makes sure that jaxson gets the proper food/water/bathroom breaks as he needs. He doesn't come back hungry, needing to potty, or beat up. Penny, celenes dog, is hands down the cutest little thing I've ever seen. When I get there she is happy to greet me at the door with kisses and tail wags. Jaxson also loves penny and always comes back PROPERLY wore out. My final thoughts are if I could had another grandma I would ask her. Shes been there for us EVERY time we've need her and that's at the end of the day all I could ask.”

“Profisional and does a great job. Bo gets very excited when he goes here.”

About: I have always had a love for animals. My husband calls me Snow White because even ducks follow me. Everywhere I go animals follow me. I am a stay at home mom so I can devote all my attention to the fur babies. Your babies are my babies under my watch. I will take care of them like they are one of my babies. I currently have two tea cup pups and a shih Tzu mix. I have a fenced in yard and am home to take of them constantly. I have two tea cup pups and a shih Tzu mix

“He did a phenomenal job! I booked last minute and he was very accommodating. He brought Dakota into his home with Kya and Roo, and made him feel very welcome.”

“Ashley was nice and updated me on how Lucy was doing good communication”

About: Whether your pet needs exercise, daily meds or cuddles, I've got you covered! I LOVE animals! I've been volunteering in shelters since junior high, attended Penta's Small Animal Care program in High School, attended Cornerstone Dog Grooming Academy after that and have worked as a professional dog and cat groomer for over 20 years. I'm now raising a family and building a schedule that works with my children while still allowing me to care for pets in a very personal way. I've worked with training seeing eye dogs for the blind and hearing dogs for the deaf. I understand pet language or cues and actually specialize in understanding and grooming cats. I chauffeur many of my clients to grooming or vet appointments, or even to my house for overnight stays. During the daytime I perform walks and exercise and potty/play breaks for furbabies who'd rather not leave their own space. I work with all breeds of dogs and cats. For stays at my home I ask that dogs be on the smaller side, as I don't have a huge yard, though it is completely fenced. Pets are my passion and I'd love nothing more than to know I'm benefiting the lives of any creatures I help care for and the lives of the humans they love. ♥️🐾 I groom in a salon part-time and take care of my two beautiful children full-time! My schedule is VERY flexible and able to fit most clients' needs. I prefer to watch pets in your home as my mother stays home with my children while I work with pets. I have several house sitting references and never alter anything in a home unless it will affect a pet negatively, in which case I would contact you. I have also been a Key Holder for several businesses prior to working in private homes.

“Joanna was AMAZING!!! We were sooo happy to leave our dog with her. She has a great space, and was very accommodating for our schedule. We will definitely use her again if she will have us. I felt very comfortable leaving our dog with her. Joanna is very kind and friendly. 10 stars!!!”

We offer personalized care, playtime, and plenty of cuddles to keep them happy and entertained. Trust us to treat your pets like family! I have a job where I can pick my own hours and work for myself so I can watch pets anytime and be there for them whenever I need. I take very good care of pets in my home. I treat them as if they are my own. They have a large space to explore and run around in. Although I do not have a fenced in yard, I have absolutely no problem taking them out on a leash to go potty or even a park.

“Elisabeth watched our puppy and did an excellent job! We received lots of pictures and video updates. She was well taken care of and had so much fun! We will be using Elisabeth from now on when we need a dog sitter. 😊”

“If you’re looking for someone in the Fort Drum area, you found her. Maddie is very quick to get ahold of, and is beyond flexible. I was delayed one night to pick up Eva from daycare and Maddie was quick to offer to let her stay the night, that helped very much. Also, Eva was so relaxed there, she really wasn’t in a hurry to leave; which never happens.”

“Great sitter. Will use again”

My schedule is not set, but I do have plenty of spare time to spend with pets! My hours day to day are short. I can make time in the mornings and evenings most days. I have a fenced in yard and two sweet dogs that absolutely love to socialize! They are also pretty relaxed and understand chilling out. About: The Adventure Hounds is a premium dog care service dedicated to understanding canine behavior and meeting each dog exactly where they are. We tailor our approach to their unique needs, fostering trust and stronger bonds through clear communication. Our program provides a safe, enriching environment where dogs can play, learn, explore, and thrive in a pack setting while respecting their individuality. Whether your dog needs adventure, socialization, or a structured outlet for energy, The Adventure Hounds supports their growth and well-being every step of the way. I began my professional journey in Los Angeles, where I was fortunate to find a vibrant community of like-minded dog enthusiasts. In 2021, I decided to return to my roots in the Midwest and bring this unique approach to dog care to Toledo, Ohio. I have a sweet and spirited Mini Australian Shepherd named Rooney who is both deaf and blind. Born as a Double Merle due to improper breeding, Rooney's special needs have given me a deeper understanding of how dogs learn and interact with the world. It’s been an incredibly rewarding experience to care for her, as she constantly challenges me to think outside the box and find creative solutions. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn from her every day. Safety is my number one priority. I have a fenced in back yard. My home also has outdoor and indoor security cameras. I utilize crates for safety when I am not home.

About: Hi, I’m Austin! While you’re away, my wife and I will provide full attentive care to your pets, making sure to follow any and all guidelines provided. Additionally, my local community offers a wide range of metro parks and trails, and my apartment complex has its very own dog park. You can enjoy break as a pet owner knowing I am on the job! I am a masters student taking remote classes, so I will be at home everyday tending to the needs of your animals. During my breaks I like to take walks in the local parks, and enjoy the company of a furry friend or two. Growing up on a farm, I always made sure to provide my pet dogs with love, attention, and plenty of exercise. Living on my own now, I’ll make sure to do the same for your pets. In addition to the care I provide, my wife will be available to help if I am pulled away for any unforeseen reason.

“Marci did wonderfully with Paul. She was shy and a bit scared at first, but Paul made her feel welcome and comfortable. She enjoyed her afternoon and was thoroughly happy and relaxed when we picked her up. Many thanks to Paul B!”

3. Penny M.
“We found that Penny certainly has a gift with dogs. Her main focus is on having a loving approach with dogs and intelligently identifying their needs. Penny sensed what our Bernadoodle, Rio needed help with and trained him accordingly, especially with socialization and trusting others. She has a talent in rewarding good behaviors and targeted skills for Rio. And Penny knew what he enjoyed and made a lambskin toy on a rope attached to a stick that is his all time favorite. We made a similar one and he still loves to chase the lambskin and it gives him hours of fun. Penny has a lot of experience raising puppies to be service dogs too along with many years of caring for and training dogs and is an expert in canine nutrition and knowledge of what supplies are necessary for their well being. Her house with it’s huge basket of toys, comfy beds, large variety of dog treats as well as her very large wooded lot allows for great experiences and walks for dogs. And generally being with Penny at her house and going out on their adventures together will always be Rio’s favorite thing to do.”

17. Veronica K.
“Veronica (Roni) has been a long time friend of mine and has always had a soft spot for animals. She has taken care of my pets many times over the years when I’ve gone on vacations or lil trips with my boyfriend/partner. I have 4 cats and a dog, who all love her to pieces and enjoy her company. I have a very shy and grumpy cat, Herman, who finds great comfort in Roni when I am not home for a couple of days to a little over a week. She has always been reliable as not only a friend, but a house sitter/pet sitter for my sweet animal babies. My partner and I usually put our dog in boarding if we are gone for more than an overnight, as he is high energy, but she has baby sat him a couple of times too when we have been away from home for the day or overnight where he (our dog) does not need to go to boarding. She makes sure all of our animals get love, playtime, and fresh water- whether it’s in a bowl or fountain- and feeds them too. I’d recommend Veronica as a trustworthy, knowledgeable, and reliable pet sitter whether it’s just stopping by once or twice a day, or watching your pets for an extended time (like if you go out of town or something for a few nights to a week). My favorite thing is when she sends me photo updates about my kitties, because I always wind up missing them immensely. She’s thoughtful and thorough and I don’t think I’ve seen her meet an animal that doesn’t like her company whether it’s just her presence or she dotes on them.”

18. Emilie P.
“Emilie is an animal lover from way back. She has had dogs, cats, rabbits, and even ducks! I have known her her whole life and she has grown into a very responsible adult. She is both charismatic and shy and animals seem to bring out the best in her. She has been a great animal sitter/house sitter for us over the years.”

19. Austin L.
“I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter than Austin! He took such great care of my dog Pebbles, showing him so much love and attention. Austin kept me updated throughout the stay with messages and photos, which was so reassuring. Pebbles was happy and relaxed when I returned, a sure sign of the excellent care Austin provided. I highly recommend him for anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring pet sitter!”
