About: I have been around dogs and cats all my life. From small breeds to large breeds of dogs and a multitude of different cats. My aunt and cousin have over 7 cats and dogs each, all of which have different attitudes and personalities that I had to learn to cater to. I am a very caring and nurturing individual and I genuinely believe animals can sense that about me. I look forward to meeting your pet and giving them the care they deserve. I recently got let go by my job and am actively looking for work, so I am flexible with hours of care for your pet. If your pet is placed with me, I have enough room in my bedroom for them to play around in. My place is small hence why I would prefer medium to small breeds just so they have adequate space. I love big dogs as well. In the clients home I will respect their boundaries and rules of the house while still providing exceptional care.
About: I have taken care of both dogs and cats for family and friends for many years. I love being with animals and will do everything I can to make them comfortable and happy. I’m available for pet boarding daily all weekdays and weekends whenever I’m not at school. I’ll be sure to provide the best care that I can! I have a fenced yard and I live nearby the park so I can exercise and walk your dog however much they need. I also provide care for indoor cats and will keep them safe in my room until they’re confident that they can walk around. I give lots of treats, make sure all of their facilities are clean, and feed them as directed by the owner.
“Wendy was fantastic! I appreciated her updates and knew my cat was in safe hands. We came home to a very happy cat and will certainly book with Wendy again next time! ?”

“Daniela was excellent with our two dogs! She was patient and caring, and had a real calming effect on our dogs, especially on one who is generally nervous. Daniela was also punctual, had great communication and responsiveness, and on top of sending us the details of each drop in. We plan to use her services again, and would highly recommend to anyone in need of pet help.”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and currently have a pittie of my own whose name is Valentina, so I understand just how much our pets mean to us—they’re not only our best friends but our family. I like to add that I am experienced with different temperaments and able to adapt quickly. Your dog will be treated with the same love, attention, and care I give my own. I work full time at an orthodontist office Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday from 8-6pm. I am free Friday morning or afternoon, Saturday afternoon and sometimes the whole day as I only work two Saturdays a month. I am available Sundays & Monday morning or afternoon as well. My home is a safe and secure environment with a fenced backyard along with an additional gate at the entrance for extra security. I constantly supervise outdoor time and make sure pets are never left unsupervised. I follow your dog’s specific routine, such as their feeding schedules, exercise, and any special instructions that provided by you. Again, I’m comfortable with different energy levels and temperaments. I will mirror to the best of my capabilities to your dog daily routine to keep things familiar and stress-free. I also like to present consistent updates, photos, and videos to make sure you feel at ease.

About: I've owned pets since 2013 and often dogsit my friends' dogs if they're away for an event, a weekend, or even a week at a time. I lived in Barbados for 2 years, where there are dozens of stray animals roaming the streets. I took in and rehabilitated an orange cat (featured in my photos) that has been brought to the US and is happily living in NYC with her new family. I do not have any pets in my apartment at the moment- my dog, Honey, is across the country with my mom. I have so much love to give pets and enjoy spoiling pets with the attention they deserve. The qualities I have as a graduating medical student directly translate into my care for pets- being punctual, patient, and passionate. I'm a full-time medical student with a fluctuating schedule. My weekends are free for boarding, walks, etc., but weekdays depend on my schedule for the given month. Weekday work schedule typically starts at 7am, and my availability will most often start at 5pm (or earlier some days). I live with my partner in a pet-friendly condominium on the 5th floor. We do not have a private, fenced yard, but we have grass surrounding the condo and a patio with our unit. Our front door has a double key-lock, with no possibility of a pet escaping. It is a large, 2-bedroom condo with plenty of space to roam in the open-concept living room and kitchen. There's plenty of unobstructed room for pet belongings (food, toys, bedding, etc.). I do not have any other animals living in the unit, I do not have a crate, and I love animals sleeping in the room/bed with me (if owner allows).
“Marcos is awesome! My kitty loves it when he comes to check on her. He always lets me know what time he’ll be coming, and gives a very comprehensive report on what he did while in my apartment. I love how he gives my girl soo much attention and pets first since she tends to get lonely. Would highly recommend him.”

“The dogs looked happier in pictures walking with her than they do walking with me! Communication was great, pictures were cute, I came home to a happy doggy household!”

About: I offer a calm, loving home where pups can relax and feel truly cared for. My little Pomeranian, Jinxie, is very well trained and has grown up around all the dogs I’ve fostered & she’s wonderful at giving other pups their space or keeping them gentle company if they’re looking for a friend. I’ve fostered many dogs over the years, including seniors, so I’m patient, attentive, and comfortable caring for pups who just need a softer pace and a little extra understanding. My home is cozy, peaceful, and safe, and I have cameras so I can check in whenever I step out. I love sending lots of photos so you always feel close to your pup! I’ve been in that position myself, and I know I’d want plenty of pictures of my own dog while I’m away. I treat every pup like part of the family and make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and right at home. I work from home full-time, which means I’m always with my dog and I’ll be right by your pup’s side too. My schedule is completely flexible, so I can fully adjust my day around walks, cuddles, playtime, and whatever your dog needs to feel safe and loved. I live in a peaceful, beautiful neighborhood in the heart of Miami Lakes where daily walks are truly something we look forward to. My home is calm, loving, and dog-friendly, and I’m always nearby to make sure your pup feels safe and comforted. Whether they need playtime, cuddles, or quiet companionship, they’ll be treated like family here.
About: I've been caring for dogs for some time now. My own personal four dogs, also worked with groups in large dog daycare for 5 years. Pet care is the main part of my daily life because I literally live for my dogs and work with others dogs. It's twenty-four hours In my home I like to spend time outside in my garden with my guys. I have a fenced in area that they can use to play or hangout. I like taking long walks, usually I'm up early to get them out before it's too hot. Two long walks, one in the early morning and the other in the evening, unless it's cool weather then there's another walk during the day. Just keep them stimulated and busy ,that keeps them safe. I like to let them get to know me and see that they're safe, sometimes that means I give them space until they approach me. Just play and show them love.
“Tiffany was a great Dog sitter. Her customer service was exceptional to let me know about my dog and how was he doing with pictures. Always on time and very professional. I will definitely consider her services again should the need arise.”

“Andria has been absolutely incredible with my cat Masyn. She handles his medications, grooming, stretching, and physical therapy with so much care and professionalism. Even our veterinary team was impressed by the level of attention and support she provides. She truly goes above and beyond, and I honestly couldn’t ask for a better person to help care for him during his recovery. Highly recommend.”

I can handle different personalities, from energetic puppies to calm senior dogs, and I pay close attention to their routines, feeding schedules, and any special needs. I enjoy spending time playing, going on walks, and making sure they get the attention they deserve. I’m also responsible and reliable, so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands while you’re away. I have every day of the week off, so I have plenty of time to give every pet my full attention and the love they deserve. I don't have pets at my house, but there's a large yard. I can also take care of them at the owners' house without any problem.
“I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Scott as my dog sitter. While I was away, he took great care of Duke, walking him regularly, making sure he was fed properly, and always arriving right on time. Knowing Duke was on a consistent routine gave me so much peace of mind. Even though I wasn’t home, Scott’s reliability and communication reassured me that Duke was in good hands. It’s not easy leaving your dog behind, but I felt confident trusting Scott with his care. If you’re looking for someone dependable, punctual, and genuinely caring, I highly recommend Scott. I’ll definitely be booking him again to look after Duke!”

“In the 6 years Frodo has been with us, we’ve only ever had friends and family look after him while we were away. This time neither could help. Thank goodness for the Rover app which put us in touch with Dayna. I felt comfortable chatting with her and when she arrived to visit Frodo, I knew she would be perfect. They bonded instantly. I felt he would be well looked after. I was not disappointed at all. The daily check in updates and cards were wonderful. I am so glad Dayna was there to help us on such short notice. I will definitely make use of her other services, such as, socializing our Frodo and doggie day care.”

About: Hi! I’m Taylor. I’m an all around animal lover. I’ve had animals my whole life and I truly am one of those people that care more about animals than anything else. All my animals are rescues. My true love is for dogs. My current job is working with dogs. As I’m getting older my passion for animals is becoming stronger and I’m learning more things about them. I’m a fun energetic person who would love to take your dog on a walk and show them lots of love and affection while you’re away. I’m also a pretty good photographer, so I’ll be sure to capture your dogs special moments. Pet care fits easily into my schedule because I create my own hours and have a very flexible routine. This allows me to give pets plenty of attention, care, potty breaks, playtime, and adjust to their individual needs throughout the day. Safety is very important in my home. I have a fully fenced yard, extra crates if needed, and friendly, lovable pets who are used to being around other animals. I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for.

Honestly honestly, I would always pick her. She has been a rock for when I need someone to take care of my zoo, my geckos, my bunny, and my cat. They all love her and honestly is the sweetest person ever known to earth. I can always count on her even on last minute bookings. I adore her to the moon and back.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
