Adiana is absolutely the best! My dog was well taken care of during his stay with her. It was my first time leaving my dog with someone who wasn't family and she made it so worry free for me!

Glenn took very good care of Stella. His wife even trimmed her nails. He sent photos of Stella playing with the other Rover dogs which were great to see.

About: Hello all, I've owned cats, dogs, and horses for over 20 years now and was their main caregiver starting at 8 y.o. I've worked at many horse barns and pet sitter for many many friends over the years. I have skills in pet healthcare (administering medication, baths, cutting nails, etc), young animals, dog & horse training, rescue animals, and elderly animals. I do my best to provide stress free care for your pets. I am currently working from home full-time! So there is always someone around to take care of your pet! My husband and I mostly like to relax and unwind at home with the occasional dinner date or movie, but are flexible and will be upfront with owners if their pet’s needs cannot be met! When pets are in my home, I always take note of the their state of wellness, looking for stress or anything out of the ordinary. I also will inspect the environment to ensure dangerous items (small items/chocolate/other) are out of reach. While we do not have a fenced in backyard we do have a lunge line that will allow your pet to enjoy running around in the backyard but provides a limit so pets do not go near the back alley road! I make sure pets have access to water at all times. I am able to administer medications easily whether it is as simple as pill pockets or even injections. We also have two dogs of our own as well as a cat! Geordi is a 10 year old Australian Cattle dog who is energetic but respects other pets space, Thor is a 1 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi who loves other playmates, and Wynnona is that our 4 year old cat who tends to mind her own business!

Bryan is my favorite dog sitter for my dog, my dog usually gave me story (barking really loud) when I picked him up from kennel. I mean like solid 30 minutes ‘story’ to make me feel really bad leaving him in the kennel. But with Bryan, he bark a little then proceed to kiss me, then he sat quietly, never happen before lol. So you’re in a good hands with Bryan. Don’t worry leaving your pet with him. 5 stars all around. Thank you Bryan!

Eileen was great! She took care of my kitten (Charlie) for 20 days and updated me with pictures and information about him throughout his stay with her. At first she was slow to respond to my messages before taking Charlie in but was great during his stay. I would be happy to recommend her to anyone.

Fatima took care of our 75lb high energy Pitbull like it was her very own dog. We left for a vacation for 16 days and Fatima took over as both Mom and Pack Leader. She walked, fed, gave medication, cleaned ears, bathed, played with, etc. We got photos and vids daily, which gave us peace of mind that Leo was in great care. Highly Recommend!

Carissa was a great sitter for Lennox - he seems to have enjoyed her care and the company of her pet, Judge. He came back happy! During his stay with her, Carissa kept in touch with me with appropriate updates, including photos and a few short videos. She was flexible on drop off and pick up times, which was great because my return home was delayed a little bit with traffic. I’d recommend her for sure and already booked Lennox for another stay with her in a few weeks!

Tara is great! She is very kind and easy to communicate with. My dog is a clingy and nervous chihuahua, and he felt very comfortable with Tara. She did a great job making him feel relaxed while sharing pictures with me while I was away. I appreciate her dedication and patience for making my dog, and myself, feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed while I was out of town. Thank you Tara!

Chrisie was AH-MAZING!! We were in a pinch 8 hours from home and seeing how our baby weighs 162 pounds, finding a caretaker isn't the eaiest of tasks! Even with 5 dogs under 15 pounds in her home she was still willing to atleast give us a meet & greet. The meet went great and Maysen proceeded to stay with Chrisie that weekend! She treated him with Love & Gentleness that you would Not get from a kennel!! Thank you Chrisie for taking such good care of our baby and leaving is worry free! Highly recommended!!

FAQs for Dog Boarding - Old Forge

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 125 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Old Forge. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

100% of Old Forge sitters also include daily walks in the neighborhood during dog boarding stays. You can also request photo and message updates throughout the stay so you can see which Old Forge landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Old Forge home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Old Forge.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Old Forge sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
