About: Hello pet parents! I have always had pets around me or in my home. I am the go to sitter for friends and family. I have cared for small, large, elderly, shy and super energetic animals. I have also had a spotted leopard gecko. He lived to be about 10 or so, the previous owner didn’t know his age but I figured has was about that old or older. My cousins always had lizards. Now some of them do rescues for lizards. So if you have an exotic pet, they will receive the same quality care as your furry ones. Medications I can do no problem. You just leave me the meds, instructions, and your vets number in case I need to call them. Your pet has weird quirks, like they need to think their meal is chief quality? I can pretend to whip up their kibble like it’s a 5 star dish. They need to be wrapped like a burrito before they can sleep? Or need me to sing a random song before they can poop? I got it, it’s their world and I’m lucky to be in it. Whatever you or your pet needs I’m up to the task. I can’t wait to meet you and your animal friends! I do have 4 cats of my own so morning and evening I feed, clean litter boxes, and entertain them. I would love for animal care to be my full time job. Right now I will be available evenings and weekends until I can make this more permanent. Your animal/furry babies comfort and safety is my top priority. I will not take any pet outside unless they are leashed, contained, or within my site in a fenced in backyard. Before I leave I will make sure that I have laid my eyes on them and all exits are closed/locked. I will not be offering boarding at my place at this time, in the future I would love to. 3 out of the four cats are dog friendly. The one that isn’t has a room they can go in (which they prefer), I have a large fenced in backyard that they will be 100% supervised. No one is escaping on my watch!
About: I have a love for all animals and I’ve had dogs and cats all my life. I’ve also had fish and hamsters. I’m open to learning more. I’m interested in pet care full-time or part-time. I would love to care for pets from a nice, COVID-safe and comfortable household. I’m able to take on more than one job without conflicting schedules. In my home, I have 4 cats of varying ages. They are 7 and up, all the way to 14. The older cats do not require medicine but do not have bladder control. I have one dog that I take for walks and let out in my backyard.
“Ashley was recommended to us after our usual sitter moved away. Glad we went with her she was awesome and we had happy dogs when we got home. Will definitely be using her again in the future”

About: After over 25 years working in education, I took the leap and followed my passion to animal rescue. After volunteering for over 15 years in rescue, I've worked full time in the field. While most of my work is with cats, I do help with dogs as well. I love all cats (even the spicy ones) and have experience distributing meds, nail trims, etc. I also have a flexible schedule and can work with you to meet your floof's needs!! While I work full-time, I do set my own hours for the most part. So I am available to stop in both during the day and evenings. I live in Independence, but travel to Olathe for work and various locations around KC, so I can be flexible on locations as well! As the mom to 3 cats (Chunk, Pam, & Wink) and a foster mama to many more, I understand that the safety of your fu babies is the top priority. I promise to treat them like my own. I am very picky about who cat sits for me, so I understand the additional stress leaving town comes with. So rest assured they will be spoiled rotten!!
About: I’ve had cats my entire life and have two of my own as an adult. I’ve spent my life as the designated sitter of the “family circus” of cats and dogs. Educated and ready to dig in on any situations that might arise. I have a flexible but shifting schedule, so while rigid or early morning schedules might not be the best fit, I can make late or odd times work easily. I will check on your animals, feed them and give them outdoor breaks/play if desired. I will do my best to set eyes on any pets, even shy cats.
“Kathleen was great with my 4 year old, high energy, Boston Terrier. Was very responsive and made it so I did not have to stress if my pup was going to be well taken care of. Would recommend to anyone in the area!”

About: I grew up in a family with many different dog breeds, and several cats. I currently have a German Shepard and Blue Heeler so I’m prepared for energetic, playful pups! I currently work part time serving nights, so I’m available everyday before 4 p.m. and all day Sundays and Mondays! Schedule flexibility is dependent on the week! I will love on your pup with everything I have. I am incredibly reliable, trustworthy, and flexible. Any and all instructions you leave for me will be followed with the utmost care to keep your little buddy happy!
“Jessica is wonderful with our active kitty. She plays with him to get some of that energy out. She gives him the loving that he needs while we are away. She does everything you ask her to do. I definitely recommend Jessica.”

“Gabrielle went above and beyond to make sure that my three cats were happy and comfortable while I was gone. I will definitely call on her again to care for my furry family.”
“Madilyn was amazing! She made sure both of my cats were getting the right food, cleaned the litter boxes, and spent time with my more social cat. She did everything I asked her to do, and both of my cats were happy and healthy when I got back home. I felt completely comfortable leaving them in her care, and really recommend her!”

About: I’ve done overnight pet and house sitting for several years and different clients, as well as drop/in visits to feed, care, and keep pets company while owners are away. I work a full time day job during the week and am free most evenings and weekends. I work my day job the first Saturday of every month. I have a fenced in yard and have experience with crated and non-crated situations. The physical and emotional wellbeing of your pet is of the utmost importance.
“I would definitely recommend Anthony. This was my first pet sitter experience and it was definitely a positive one. I will definitely utilize his services again.”

“McKenzie is always there when we need her, even when things come up unexpectedly, like our flight getting cancelled the night we were supposed to be home. She takes such good care of our girl and gives us peace of mind. We always know she is in great hands. Thank you for being so wonderful, McKenzie!”

“Draven was fantastic with our Goldendoodle during her drop-in visits. Her communication was on point, and she even noticed that we had accidentally locked our cat in the bedroom. Thankfully, she let him out and made sure everything was okay. We’re so grateful for the care she gave our sweet boy. Highly recommend Draven to anyone needing drop-in care for their pets!”

About: I have taken care of animals by volunteering at the Kansas City pet project as well as fostering animals. I love being around animals and making sure they are well taken care of. Starting January 6th, 2026, I will be starting my student teaching semester, where I am at school from 7:40-3:30 Monday through Friday. Other than that, I can be with the pets as much as you need! I care for pets by making sure they are let out when they need to be, making sure they are fed, and by giving them plenty of love!
About: About Me: Growing up on a farm, I’ve nurtured a lifelong passion for animal care, tending to dogs, cattle, horses, and goats. Instilled with a deep sense of responsibility from a young age, I learned that our animals’ needs come first—feeding and watering them was my dawn ritual. Professional Background: My 18-year tenure as a Paramedic wasn’t just about helping people; it often involved interacting with pets, from the friendly to the feisty. This has equipped me with the skills to handle any situation calmly and ensure a positive outcome. Additionally, my training in K9 first aid as a tactical medic has honed my ability to care for police service dogs in critical situations. My Approach: I bring a calm and collected presence that resonates well with animals, making it easy to bond with new furry friends. I understand the anxiety of leaving pets behind, so I’m here to alleviate your stress. With professionalism and respect, I’ll ensure your pets feel loved and secure in your absence. Personal Touch: At home, I’m a proud pet parent to Archie and Luna, two spirited dogs who love their playtime and are experts at keeping our backyard squirrel-free. They’ve taught me the joy of active companionship and the comfort of quiet snuggles. Thank you for considering me to care for your beloved pets. I’m excited about the opportunity to meet your furry family members and provide them with the same love and attention I give my own. Flexibility for Your Furry Family : My schedule is incredibly flexible, and my primary goal is to ensure quality time for your beloved pets! 🐾❤️ Additionally, I am committed to keeping my availability up-to-date to prevent any scheduling errors. You can rely on me to be punctual and attentive to your pet’s needs. 🕒🐶 Tailored Care for Your Furry Family : As a dedicated pet caregiver, I understand that every furry friend has unique needs. Whether your dog prefers leisurely lounge time or craves energetic walks and ball games, I tailor my care to match their individual requirements. But it doesn’t stop there—I’m also vigilant about weather conditions. I know when it’s too hot or cold for your dog’s comfort, and I adjust activities accordingly to ensure their safety. And speaking of safety, my biggest pet peeve is water. Clean, fresh hydration is essential for your beloved companions, and I make sure they have access to it at all times. Of course, let’s not overlook the importance of a well-balanced meal! 🐾🌟

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Odessa. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
