Stay overnight: please let me know if you do NOT want me to stay the night. The hours above will be applied here. Otherwise provide clean bedsheets. Optional: I am happy to also bring in your mail, water plants(inside and outside) and adjust lights. For my personal assessment please provide a list of those tasks as well as any other pets that may need caring for. BIO I have been a pet owner since I was a kid and have always been helping neighbors with their pets by walking their dogs for the elderly neighbors, caring for bunnies or cats and helping brush horses and moving them to pasture in my neighborhood growing up in Germany. I have been a dog, cat, and chicken owner for a while, and we even have a rabbit, and adopted a leopard gecko at some point. I am also a wife, mom of 4 kids and enjoy home making/ and a lot of home steading here on our micro farm. Staying at home and being available to my kids is priority. I am luckily they share my love for animals. I am a long time U.S. resident (since 2007), and have been raised in Germany. My English is fluent, and I have been told that I don't have an accent anymore, so communicate is definitely not an issue. I would love to care for your little furry (or not so furry) pet, may it be checking in for a feed or potty break, overnight stay, or a relaxing or vigorous walk. I am looking forward to meeting you! I am stay at home mom and have a lot of flexibility when it comes to stepping out to visit your furry friend. All I ask is to have notice and be respectful of my time and schedule. And I will reciprocate this of course! I am flexible and cater to anybody's unique needs. As long as I have ample notice and frequent communication. I am happy to send pictures and text messages during a visit/feeding if so desired. Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.
“Just picked our Sophie up from her third visit with Lora P. and she came through yet one more time! Sophie was happy to go there (no shakes on the way in like with kennels) and Sophie was happy and healthy when we returned a few days later. She will get to spend more time with Lora soon and we know she will have yet another wonderful experience!”

“Giseli was great - her two dogs were wonderful, she was super flexible with us, and our golden retriever had a wonderful time with loads of walks and play. She sent pictures throughout which made us very happy and comfortable that all was well, as this was Duke's first stay away from home.”

“Janice was wonderful and took Harper on so many fun walks! She was super responsive and flexible with our pickup and dropoff times when our schedule changed. Harper would love to see her again. Thank you Janice!”

“Anne was amazing! So great and intuitive with Philly. Daily updates and pictures ease your mind when leaving your fur baby. We already have our next boarding booked with her, definitely recommend!”

“Thank you so much Rene!!! I appreciate you caring for Guinness!! I know he was well taking care of .. it gave me peace of mind while I was at work… we will be sure to let you know when we need you to sit for Guinness in the near future !! Thanks again”

“Helen was a great dog sitter. She kept us informed of throughout our dog’s stay and sent lots of pictures of Maggie. She kept her company and took her for walks. Maggie was well cared for which made us very happy while we were away from her.”

“Daniella is the best!!!!! She’s so flexible and easygoing, has excellent communication, and she was so sweet and awesome with our elderly dog, Olive. Absolutely will be booking her again!!!”

“Jennifer was amazing. Highly recommend hiring her to watch your pet. Communication was flawless from start to finish, and she was always incredibly quick to respond to my text updates. I loved receiving the photos she sent throughout the weekend, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. She truly went above and beyond to make my dog feel at home. She spent time playing fetch—my dog's absolute favorite game—and was highly observant and adaptable when Daisy interacted with her own two dogs, ensuring all the pups felt safe and comfortable. To top it all off, she even sent my dog home with a toy she had fallen in love with during her stay. I will absolutely be booking her again!”

“It was great meeting Trish and our dog, Harper, hit it off with her instantly. She is very genuine and made us feel very comfortable with leaving our young dog for the first time. Harper is a 9 month old mini goldendoodle who is still working out his training and puppy energy. Trish kept us updated and sent photos daily. We unfortunately had to cut our trip short due to a family matter but will not hesitate to use Trish again in the future.”

“Highly Recommend! I was anxious about leaving my pup for a few days but Theresa sent very detailed updates with photos/videos everyday which helped put my mind at ease. She took such good care of him and I’d definitely book her again”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life. I’m all about communication and getting to know your furbaby. Whether it’s at my house or yours I will treat your pets like family! I own a small cleaning business that keeps me busy but allows flexibility too. I’m available for sitting and boarding on weekdays after 3pm and on weekends. I can care for pets in my home or yours. I have a large yard with walking trails to the reservoir. Not fenced. I have a friendly dog who’s almost 15 and loves to play still.
“Jing was an amazing sitter for my elderly dog, Tela! She was available last minute for a few days and took such good care of her. She sent many pictures and videos updating me about Tela’s stay so that I had no concerns or worries. She also would update me after providing Tela’s medication to her. Tela was in great spirits when I went to pick her up - and she can be very picky about where she stays. I would definitely recommend Jing!!”

About: As a dog mom myself, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. I treat every dog like family with kindness, patience, and close attention to their safety and happiness. Hi, I’m Analee! I’m a huge animal lover and a pet parent myself to my dog, Nemo, and my cat, Stitch. 🐾 I know how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your pets, so I’ll always treat yours with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel comfortable, happy, and loved while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor play and a friendly one year old Cavapoo named Nemo who loves other dogs. If your dog enjoys canine companionship, supervised playtime is always an option. I also have a friendly cat who is comfortable around dogs, but interactions will only happen if everyone is comfortable and it is appropriate. I closely supervise all pets, follow your care instructions, and make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and treated like part of the family while they’re with me.

About: I’ve always loved animals and genuinely enjoy spending time with them. I’m caring, patient, responsible, and will treat every pet like they’re my own. I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, loved, and get plenty of attention while in my care. I am currently enrolled in an automotive program! I am looking for a job where I can temporarily make my own schedule. I am available most days after 3:30pm, depending on location. I have availability everyday except sundays. My home is very safe for animals. I live in a douplex with other family members. I have my own floor separated from all of the animals. I live in a neighborhood where I can walk them, and I am very close to a nice walking trail as well! I do live on the third floor so animals with bad hips may not be a good fit!
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Ocean Bluff
Jordan and her husband were everything you could want in a sitter: reliable, responsive, and kind. They treated our Murph like she was a sibling to their doodle Bo. Every picture they shared confirmed that we made the right choice by booking with them. We were a little concerned our Murph wouldn’t want to come home with us after! 😅 If you’re on the fence, don’t be. They are exactly the type of people you want caring for your dog while you’re away. We will absolutely be rebooking with them.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Jordan took wonderful care of our dog while we were away. They were attentive, responsible, and clearly experienced — sending regular updates and photos that put us completely at ease. Our dog came home happy, healthy, and well cared for. We truly appreciated the love and attention they gave. Thank you so much, and we’ll definitely be booking again! 🐶❤️

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Ocean Bluff home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Ocean Bluff.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Ocean Bluff sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
