“Michelle was the best Rover ever! She came with extensive experience with animals at the Humane Society, which is just what Spirit needed. Spirit was a rescue and although very well adjusted to her new home, having the most experienced and loving caretaker. At our meet and greet, Michelle asked about all of her needs, medical and how to play with her. She was an instant friend with organic buffalo treats on our meet and greet. In our week away we got daily updates with wonderful pictures of Spirit doing her favorite things from eating to playing with her favorite toys. The bubbles, the balls and her wand. She was gentle, and thorough, remembering all of their needs. She brought packages that were delivered, even remembering to put them out of reach as the cats like to chew on the plastic bags! Melissa also took great care of our home, taking out garbage and watering plants. I had forgot to tell her about a Basil plant, but she saw it was dry and asked me if I wanted it watered. I was really amazed by her care and attention to detail.”

About: I’m the lady who crosses the street to ask if I can pet your dog. I love all dogs, but big dogs have my heart. I confess, I’m also the lady that will remember your dog’s name, age and origins, but perhaps not always your name. Although I have the confidence and experience to befriend your big dogs, that shouldn’t suggest that I don’t love our smaller friends, as well. Big and small, I love them all❣️ I’ve been responsible for animals most of my life. Chiefly, I’ve had the privilege to care and own big dogs. Growing up, we had a Sheppard-Mastiff mix, and that’s when my love for big dogs began. In our house, we had a macaw, cockatoo, kākāriki, ring-necked parakeet, and a cockatiel, tropical/ saltwater fish, dogs, and cats. I continue to be a proud breed ambassador and have owned 4 Rottweilers over the years. I’ve been gainfully employed as a civil servant for 25 years. After my last Rottweiler passed away, I wanted to care for a dog again, but haven’t adopted quite yet. I enjoy hiking, outdoor activities, walking and traveling, and of course dogs! I’ve had the privilege to care for our misunderstood and sometimes reactive dog friends, as well. All dogs deserve love. I helped welp Belgian Malinois puppies and ensure they found loving, deserving homes. I joke that, “If the choice was between world peace or puppies, I would choose puppies.” I can’t wait to meet your doggie! Since I’m a civil servant, my schedule is consistent. I have free nights and 3-day weekends. I enjoy a lot of free time that I would like to fulfill with dogs. I have a secured, fenced yard. I can also kennel your pets as well. My responsibility to you is ensuring your family member is secure in my charge.

About: I worked the wag app in Chicago for a 2 years, and loved it! Excited to be in an area where i can start dog walking again. I also grew up in a household with dogs as pets so im very comfortable around all sizes and breeds of dogs. I am a stay at home mom, i also nanny my nephew during the week. We have plenty of time to love your fur-babies! I have a fenced in space for the fur baby. I can accommodate your fur babies needs whether they prefer to roam the house or need a crate. I do not own a dog or will i double book so you can be sure of your fur babies safety.

Holly became good friends with Gray, gave her lots of affection and noticed issues with Gray's cat food which I had not. About: Walks through Armstrong Redwoods are a favorite activity. I have a large yard and a dog friendly house. I have a couple of years experience working in a veterinary clinic giving me experience medicating animals, including giving injections. I have a pool for dogs who love to swim! I was a volunteer and puppy raiser for Canine Companions for Independence back in the mid to late 1980's, and a Puppy Petter for Assistance Dog Institute in the early 2000's. I've also kept busy with boarding in my home for friends and acquaintances. I love dogs!! I have Sundays and Mondays off from my full time job, but I can fit in a nice walk after 4 pm most other days. When I have someone's dog, they get my full attention; we play, exercise, snuggle. My focus is providing an enriching experience for your dog .

About: I grew up in a neighborhood my friends used to call “the farm”. We had 3 dogs, one neighbor had chickens, one neighbor had horses, and another neighbor had goats. Along with various dogs and cats at each house. Because I was the oldest kid in the neighborhood, I was the go-to person anytime a neighbor needed a house sitter or even just needed me to feed their pet dinner since they were out late. When I got older and started driving, I began dog sitting for our large group of friends, taking care of all sizes of dogs, cats, and the occasional reptile. Although I work part-time, I am generally available 7 days a week for house sitting. I am willing to accommodate crazy schedules and last minute plans if need be.
