“I'm pretty sure Henry didn't miss me at all which is exactly what I hoped for. I couldn't have asked for a better experience in leaving my dog for the first time since I got him. Sky gave me daily updates (messages, pics and videos). Henry looked like he enjoyed every minute of the pet sit. Sky absolutely took great care of my little man. I would definitely recommend her!”

“We had a last minute need for a sitter and our usual sitter was not available. I am always nervous about using a new sitter, but Jill’s profile seemed like she could be a good fit. She came for a meet and greet that day, and after meeting her in person I felt comfortable with her sitting for us. Jill spent the weekend with our dog and did a great job. She followed our instructions perfectly, making sure our dog was safe, fed, and well cared for while we were gone. We received photo updates and she was quick to respond to our texts. Our house was in perfect condition when we arrived home. She’s a trustworthy, calm, and responsible person who I don’t hesitate to recommend. We will book with Jill again!”

“Megan was an attentive and conscientious house sitter. She was personable and communicative before and during her visit, sharing updates, pictures, and (when needed) questions that kept us appraised. Her friendly, warm approach and professional demeanor helped us feel comfortable that our four legged family members were well cared for and we could relax and enjoy our vacation.”
“Vanessa was an awesome sitter! I need help very last minute and she got us in and took care of my sweet Coco like I would. She sent pictures and kept me up to date throughout the day. She relieved a lot of my stress with her care and I will definitely book with her again in the future. She also made sure to take extra care because my Coco is a senior with some health challenges and Coco warned right up to her”

“Kailea was amazing and sweet with our girls. She made sure to occupy their time with walks and snuggles. She had great communication and asked questions when needed. You can tell she has a big heart and cares. We will be asking her to watch the girls again.”

“Really helped us out in a pinch. Our dogs loved her, she was very understanding, communicative, and clean. I’ll definitely try to rebook with her when needed!”

“Our first experience with Rover, and with having someone -other than family- care for our (very needy) bengal kitty. I’m happy to say, Erin was great! She made us feel completely at ease leaving her alone in our home with Desmond. Desi loved her and looked for her after she left :( She is intuitive, cares a great deal and was super communicative, sending texts regularly, which was very much appreciated. We would absolutely call on Erin any time we need a sitter!”

“I highly recommend Alex, he was so sweet and very responsive. He took pictures and he let me know how the animals were doing. Alex went above and beyond to make sure my animals were well taken care of. He also took care of our home like it was his own, we appreciate that! I will definitely be using Alex again.”
“Cannot convey the level of gratitude we have for having Libah stay at our home with our 2 pups. They are definitely not the easiest so her confidence and communications allowed us to enjoy our journey with out concern. They were excited to see us but were so content when we returned. I cannot say thank you enough to the level or professionalism, honesty and trust we had. THANKS Libah!!!!”

“Victoria did a wonderful job. We called her last minute for an overnight get away NYE. We did a meet and greet and Bailee took to her immediately. He is a service dog to me and we were skeptical knowing this would be the first time leaving him. She sent us pictures, was very personable and affectionate to Bailee. I would definitely recommend Victoria for your pet sitting needs. I know if we ever need someone, she will be the first one we call. Thank you again Victoria for treating Bailee like your own!!”

“I lucked out finding Kim at the last minute. She was able to take care of the dog with a two day notice which was amazing. She kept me updated throughout the stay and even left me a note at the end that wrapped everything up so that I didn’t have any questions about how it went. I would most certainly recommend her but also book her again myself. I’ll already Recommended her to neighbors and friends.”

“Ashlee was a wonderful dog/house sitter for my two dogs, Sherman and Maggie. She checked in everyday with updates and went above and beyond to ensure we came home to a clean house and happy pups after our trip. Highly recommend!”

“We are so grateful to have found Stephanie. Our sweet poodle Justice came home the day before from surgery and we were nervous to leave her with a stranger. However Stephanie's calm presence and obviously love for animals came through and Justice was very open to her. Stephanie communicated with us while we were away as well as shared photos. I look forward to having Stephanie come again or Justice going to her home.”

About: We always had 2 dogs, my responsibility. As an adult I have had rescues and purebreds. I walk 4 to 5 miles a day and a dog makes it a learning experience. Fully retired. Snowbirds here through April 1. Have come to Sarasota last 13 years. Took the leap to be here Oct through April. We have a new puppy a Westie named Wallace who loves it here. I would provide walking services only since we are in an apartment downtown. Would prefer to work downtown area. There are so many parks and great locations to walk.
“Extremely grateful for Carolina. Worked around my schedule last minute to watch my dog in my house for a week. Dependable, responsible, and trustworthy. Added bonus of also being very communicative. Highly recommend”

About: I've grown up around animals since I was a baby. I started taking care of animals around age nine, so I definitely know a thing or two. There have been weeks/months when my family was out of town, so I took care of them during that period. I always have a blast taking care of animals, so much so that I seriously considered going to veterinary school. I fully take care of my cat, Marshella, and have been doing so for a while now. So I always scoop her litter, feed her, and, of course, play with her every day. I also provide her with some outdoor time. In my home, I will offer everything I offer to my cat, Marshella, including a litterbox, food, a filtered water fountain, playtime, and outdoor time, if requested by the owner, of course, along with anything else the owner requests.
Oakwood Manor pet parents share their Rover experiences
Meara was wonderful with Charlie. She followed his routine, sent plenty of pictures and videos, and provided frequent, prompt updates that really put me at ease. Charlie was happy and comfortable when I got home, and the house was exactly how I left it. I would absolutely recommend Meara and would happily book with her again.

There isn’t enough room to express how amazing Nicole is! She went above and beyond to make sure this dog mama felt secure with leaving her animals! Pictures every day along with amazing communication. She even left holiday cards with pictures of our babies. Nicole is the only person I want to watch my “kids” from here out. My only concern is my animals might start to love her more than my husband and I.

Our dog LOVED Christine and I don’t think he wanted her to leave at the end of her stay! She is an enthusiastic, energetic, and very responsible dog sitter who listened carefully to information about our pup. Christine also left our house spotless. Highly recommend!

Sophia did a terrific job dog sitting our very active terrier in our home for 6 days. She was loving towards him and sent us daily reports and cute photos. She also picked up our mail and newspapers and left our house neat and clean. We can highly recommend Sophia!

Danielle was super helpful watching our pups and senior cat for us at the last minute. She is super communicative sending pictures and keeping us updated on how things were going at home. We had a great trip thanks to Danielle. We knew they were in great hands. We will definitely have her pet sit for us again. We can’t wait to have her help us out again soon
