Mauricio watched my four dogs for several days over Christmas. Positives: the dogs were fed, let out regularly, and were safe when I came home. He was responsive over text and was willing to come by multiple times a day. That said, there were a few issues that didn’t match what we had agreed on for a house sit that cost just under $900 for about 3.5 days. We had agreed that at least one visit per day would be a proper walk, but that didn’t happen consistently, especially in the last couple of days. When I returned, the floors had a noticeable layer of dirt and paw marks and took about an hour to fully vacuum and mop. I also came home to chewed-up vacuum parts in multiple areas of the house that weren’t mentioned to me and that were in areas that should have been noticable. For house sitting, I expected to come home to a house at least as clean as I left it. The dogs were not neglected, but in my opinion the overall level of follow-through and attention to the home did not match the expectations we set or the price paid. I’ve shared this feedback directly with Mauricio and with Rover so they’re aware. This isn’t to say you shouldn’t hire him, he’s still relatively new at this, and this sit was a learning experience. I would consider hiring him again with very clear expectations and check-ins agreed on up front.

Mauricio was an excellent caregiver for my pet. He's responsible, attentive, and clearly loves animals. I felt at ease knowing my pet was in good hands. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy caregiver.
