About: I have taken care of my own animals from a young age. Many friends and family have trusted me to watch and take care of their animals and I absolutely love making sure the pets are loved and cared for while their owners are away! I am currently searching for a full time job so I’m pretty open until I land one. I will still be willing to work around my job when I get one! I want your pet to feel as if their owner isn’t even gone and have someone there who loves them and they feel comfortable around. I know that’s how I would want my animals to be taken care of!

About: I have lots of experience with both cats and dogs. I have also had fish, rabbits, and snakes (at separate times) in the past. Currently I have a family of three at home, a German Shepard, kitten and senior cat (15 yo). I have pet sit for many family members and friends in the past as well as taking care of my own pets and elderly cat I have had since he was a kitten. I am currently working part-time as a pet sitter in between my college courses. I also have a corporate job, but am looking to spend my extra time taking care of animals and going on walks to help me lose weight! I have a fenced yard and an outdoor kennel. I personally prefer to keep animals cage-free, but I have have space for owners to bring their kennels for their animals. I have my own transportation. I also have a separate home office that is available is animals do not get along or sometimes some animals need their own space! All of my animals are super friendly and curious, especially our German Shepard he loves making new friends!

About: I love all animals! My family calls me Dr. Dolittle. I spent 5 years as a veterinarian technician. I spent 7 years as a kennel manager of a boarding and grooming facility. My dogs are my world! I will take care of your pets as if they were my own. I understand the importance of keeping your pets safe and loved. I am 55 years old. I take pride in a job well done and understand the importance of all aspects of taking care of your fur babies. ❤️ I will take care of yours as well as I take care of my own. I am retired and concentrate on taking care of my dogs and horses so my schedule is very open. I will work with you to accommodate your scheduling needs. I take care of all pets the way I would want mine to be taken care of. I understand how scary it is to leave your fur babies with someone else. My job is to keep them safe, loved and taken care of in their home environment. Fresh food, fresh water, clean bedding and playtime are all important elements of our pets' well being.

About: I’ve cared for multi-diverse manner dogs for 15+ years. I have experience and certification in behavior therapy. So I understand motivation, reinforcement, and attending to differing array of expressed behaviors, as-well as creating behavior interventions plans to train for appropriate/desired behaviors for clients. Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Oakland. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include , the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poop breaks recorded by the walker.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
