Caitlynn has been walking my dog Sailor on a regular basis for almost three weeks now, while I am at work all day; and I cannot begin to describe my dogs calmness when I get home. It has been a sigh of relief knowing my doggo is in good hands and has the availability of getting out and moving around with some company while I am at work. Caitlynn has not only walked and spent time with Sailor but has also taken to brushing him, which is his favorite thing to do. I would highly recommend Caitlynn and have every intention of continuing to book her with her availability.

About: I’m in my mid 30s and been responsible for at least one pet since I was about 8. I love all animals and have personally had cats, dogs and fish. I graduated from A&M Galveston with a degree in Marine Biology and am currently working with marine mammals. I have experience in dog and cat training, this includes harness/leash and behavioral. Because of my degree I have a background in animal behavior which I use to help talk to and understand animals. I have worked with pets, dolphins and wolves in the past. I absolutely love animals and find it the most rewarding teaching and interacting with them. Please let me help you love your pet. I currently don’t have any set in stone commitments but I have the occasional volunteer project but can work around any Rover commitment. Let me know what you need and we can figure something out! I have a truck so it’s easy to go somewhere safe for your pet if your neighborhood doesn’t have a good play spot. If I am staying at a clients place can take the dog to a dog park if there isn't one nearby.

About: animals have always had a huge part of my heart, i’ve always loved being with animals. i grew up around many different animals and have cared for quite a good amount. i’ve also had many different animals, especially dogs. i've helped one of our old dogs give birth to her babies, i also took care of the babies. im also used to senior/teen dogs as well. i just overall love them. most of the time i am probably with my nephew since i have him when my sister works and if she needs me to. but as of right now, that is the only main priority i have. our yard is fenced in, we are working on getting a privacy fence as well. i live with my dad and he does have another dog but if they don’t get along then we are able to separate them, so you wouldn’t need to worry about that !

My dogs are my world! I will take care of your pets as if they were my own. I understand the importance of keeping your pets safe and loved. I am 55 years old. I take pride in a job well done and understand the importance of all aspects of taking care of your fur babies. ❤️ I will take care of yours as well as I take care of my own. I am retired and concentrate on taking care of my dogs and horses so my schedule is very open. I will work with you to accommodate your scheduling needs. I take care of all pets the way I would want mine to be taken care of. I understand how scary it is to leave your fur babies with someone else. My job is to keep them safe, loved and taken care of in their home environment. Fresh food, fresh water, clean bedding and playtime are all important elements of our pets' well being.

About: Hi! I’m Morgan, full-time dog trainer, groomer, and owner of Yappy Hour Obedience Training and Yappy Hour Grooming. With over a decade of hands-on experience, I specialize in working with dogs of all breeds, ages, and personalities—from chill couch potatoes to high-energy wildcards. This isn’t just a job for me—it’s my full-time career and lifelong passion. Whether your dog needs structured walks, reliable care while you’re away, or just someone to make sure they’re not hosting a one-dog rave in your living room, I provide professional, personalized support. My training background means I notice the little things: stress signals, energy shifts, body language—your dog is in good hands, not just good company. I treat every dog like family—but without the weird uncle vibes—and I’ll always keep you updated so you know how your pup is doing. If your dog had thumbs, they’d have already booked me. Probably added a tip, too. Dog training is my full-time career, and I structure my schedule around my clients to make the process as smooth and accessible as possible. Whether it’s early mornings, evenings, or weekends, I stay flexible to meet the needs of busy households while still providing consistent, high-quality training. This isn’t a side gig—I do this day in and day out, and I’m fully committed to helping both dogs and their owners succeed. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a calm, structured environment where dogs can learn, build confidence, and feel secure. I live on the beach, giving dogs a peaceful setting with plenty of enrichment and fresh air. Trust is the foundation of my work—both with you and your dog—and I use proven, humane methods that focus on clarity, not force. Whether it’s a walk, a stay, or training, your dog is in safe, capable hands every step of the way.

About: Preface: Rates are negotiable if you are a nice person :) I take care of my clients and treat every pet as my own and every house I enter with the same respect I would my Grandmother's house. (Rover also defaults to 30/60 min slots so I'm happy to customize a rate based on your needs, 15 or 20 minute drop-in's or even 45 mins if that's what your fur baby needs. - Just let me know what's needed. I'm an experienced and kind-hearted pet lover, degreed communications professional, currently living in 77407. I've had cats and dogs of all sizes since I was a baby. I have cared for or owned every sized animal from Pitbulls and Chows down to Laso Apsas & Yorkies, I've also owed multiple cats and have sheltered many strays, my most favorite currently being my huge 20lb orange Lion-cat named Hefe'. I am experienced with elderly animals and have also administered insulin shots twice a day for a diabetic cat for two weeks while her parents had to attend to a family funeral out-of-state. I would love to assist with any holiday needs this season. I've previously worked in advertising and dental sales and got burnt-out. I'm hoping to remain active while I find my next role and it's a bonus if I can also make a little spending money. I will work with you on whatever your needs are! My degree is in communications from U of H so please don't complain when I start sharing tons of videos/pics with you while caring for your pets. I'm also happy to send references or you can read a few on my LinkedIn profile. "Kelkalski" is my most common handle/link/online name. I hope to work with those whom feel I may be a great fit! Let me know what other questions you have on me! :)

FAQs for Dog Walking - Freeport

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 208 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Freeport. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Freeport. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Freeport.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Freeport. On Rover:

  • 100% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 92% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
