My cat ponzu had a super short and sweet stay here! Lots of kiddos around to help care for animals, and I appreciated them having the option of a separately space for ponzu to acclimate.

My father-in-laws dog couldn't have been in better hands. A wonderful yard to "investigate" in, a couple of other dogs to play with. A wonderful family who you can tell, loves dogs. We will be using Sarah and Jamey again for sure.

My goal is to treat every pet like family and provide dependable, compassionate care every visit. As a recent graduate, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable and attentive care for your pets. With three years of pet-sitting experience, I’m available for morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend visits. I make pet care a priority and will ensure your pets receive plenty of exercise, playtime, affection, and consistent care while you’re away. Ruthie was absolutely wonderful!! She takes such good care of her pups and did the same with mine. It was a relief not to have to worry about my pups while I did a hike in Yosemite. I can’t recommend her enough! I’ve always thought my pups would love the farm life and after seeing my pups at Ruthie’s place, it only confirms that ?

About: Animals are my thing. I have dogs, cats, chickens, birds, and sheep, many who are rescues, and I love them all. I have been taking care of animals ever since I was a young child and thought about becoming a vet, but I became a teacher instead. I am off work for the summer and many of my weekends are free now that my children are all teens and above. I am located conveniently near the 145 and highway 41 in the Madera Ranchos. On your way to Yosemite? Going to have some family time in Fresno? I’ll take care of your pet for you. Your dog will join the pack for its stay and relax or play on the 2 acres of fenced in land. I’m a teacher so I have open availability in the summer and on most weekends. I can check in on your pets in the afternoons or evenings when I’m working. I have 2 acres of fenced in yard. I also offer the dogs time to cool off in the pool and a large house to hang out in. If you want me to drop in on your pets at your home in the afternoons and weekends, I can do that too.

About: I grew up on a farm and have always loved animals. From caring for my own, I found my love for taking care of others, and I branched out into petsitting, housesitting, and the feeding and care of all types, big and small. I’m available for your pets. I have no other working engagements at this time. I can do holidays, and cover your travel needs, and I’m available on any day of the week. I have a fenced in yard, and there is currently a very sociable cat in the house. Crates can be used only when/if when necessary. I provide fresh water, a cozy bed, and anything per their schedule. I will treat them like they are my own: I can play with them, give them lots of love, send photos back to you, and make them feel at home.

Ashlee and her husband Andrew were fantastic hosts for our pup Moose while we were in Big Sur for a week! He was clearly so happy and well cared for. They are wonderful friendly people who agreed to take him last minute and even gave us a tour of their lovely garden when we dropped him off. We’ll absolutely board Moose with them again if we’re in the area!

Shannon did a great job sitting our two large dogs; highly recommend! She gave routine updates, pictures, and read my dogs info before we arrived. She has a nice dog proof house. Allowed the dogs on her couch and dog bed. She took them for routine walks around her large property. She was kind and trustworthy. We used her for one night of dog sitting while we hiked half dome. There are limited to no other options in the area and dogs aren’t allowed on any Yosemite hikes. We were lucky to get her!

Christina took amazing care of biscuit while I was in the Yosemite national Park. She was so good with him, and even though he usually doesn’t get along with cats, it was no problem that she had an indoor cat. Her property was perfect for keeping him tired from running up and down the hill! I would definitely recommend Christina to other people who need boarding for their pups!

  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
