About: I have had dogs my whole life, and I have plenty of experience from not only volunteering at animal shelters but from helping my friends and family during their trips out of town. I've worked with dogs of all sizes and I have a senior dog myself. I have experience walking, bathing, cleaning up after them and feeding them, I am very patient, observant, and willing to help. I have plenty of time to house sit or check-in on your pets during the week, especially near the weekends, I would love to take them for nice long walks around a neighborhood or park. My pets are very kind of well behaved, I have a lot of patience and understanding when it comes to any accidents or mishaps they may cause, I would treat your pets with the exact same care and attention.

Chelsey was a phenomenal pet sitter for my cats. Just moved to the area and she was my first pet sitter. I have 2 cats that are normally very shy and hesitant about other people but somehow she managed to make them feel safe enough to be out in the open so I’m very grateful. If you’re looking for a sitter, Chelsey is your person!

Caitlyn is a superstar in our eyes! We know she loves and cares for Missy & Beau as if they were her own, even though Missy barks at her the whole time! We are so lucky to have Caitlyn on our side and would recommend her to any and all. Except for when we need her! 😂

About: I have been around dogs my whole life. In 2022 my husband and I got our first dog together, Bandit, and in 2023 we got Lynk. Both dogs have different energy levels so no matter what your dog is like, I will make sure your dog has a good time here! I stay at home full-time so my schedule is very flexible. Standard drop-off and pick-up time is : 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. However, if you need an earlier drop-off and/or later pick-up time just ask! In client’s home: Since I stay home full-time I’m able to come over every 2-3 hours for potty breaks and play time. I may have to bring my kid with me so I ask that your dog(s) are known to do well with kids. In my home: Our dogs, Lynk and Bandit, are super friendly and love meeting new friends. I have a large fenced in yard perfect for play-time. I have a covered porch and a covered seating area, perfect for relaxing in the shade! I have a kid at home so I ask that your dog is good with kids before booking. My dogs have all of their vaccines so we ask the same of your’s so we are able to keep both of our dogs safe. Also, I request that your dog is on flee and tick medication.

Taylor was amazing! She dropped in on our 2 dogs and 2 cats for the weekend and sent so many amazing pictures and updates each time. She was super reliable and communicative, and it honestly made it so much easier to relax knowing the pets were in good hands. She was also so thoughtful about cleaning the dogs’ paws after the rain and staying for long enough to allow the dogs to get enough play and potty time. We will definitely be using her services again the next time we go on vacation! I highly recommend her to anyone needing a sitter!

About: Caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. I currently care for my own dog as well as a flock of backyard chickens, so I understand the importance of keeping pets safe, comfortable, and on their routine. As a full-time paramedic, I’m calm under pressure, dependable, and attentive to detail. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, medication reminders, or simply lots of love and attention, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. I know every pet has a unique personality, and I’m happy to adapt to their individual needs. I work full-time as a paramedic, which means my schedule varies throughout the week. On my days off, I’m available for drop-in visits, walks, and house sitting, and when I’m working, I can often provide care before and after my shift depending on timing. I keep my calendar updated so you’ll always know my availability, and I’m happy to discuss scheduling to find something that works for both of us. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any special instructions before every visit. I’m comfortable administering medications if needed and will always provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. As a paramedic, I’m trained to stay calm in unexpected situations and pay close attention to details, so you can trust that your pet will receive attentive, compassionate care every step of the way.

About: I have cared for animals most of my life, including dogs, cats, goats, rabbits and chickens. I love them all, but dogs are my favorite and I've been told I'm good with them. I have 2 dogs that I feed twice a day along with making sure they have fresh water. I also take them on walks for their health and enjoyment and I give them baths on a regular basis, along with occasional check-ups with the veterinarian. About: I have had two Yorkies and one West Highland Terrier. I’ve also had experience with Rottweilers, pit bulls, Alaskan huskies, American Bulldogs, mixed breed Chihuahuas. My house is in a well noted and safe neighborhood, with a secured fence and a wonderful backyard. I love spending time with dogs and giving them the love and care they deserve. If you have any specific rules or guidelines for your pooch please let me know, I will do my best to make my home as cozy as their own. I love any dog big or small no matter the breed, color, or disability. I feel I would be great on Rover because dogs are just like children, and should be treated with care and love as if they were my own!! Your dog will be in safe and open arms <3 I work full time from home, but i am always here so your pups are never left unattended , i believe pets are like children, and should still be treated great care and love❤️ I have a fenced yard for potty breaks and outside fun. I do not leave them outside in the back yard, when they potty i stand outs tide with them until they are ready to come inside. My back yard is huge but i prefer the pups to be with me for safety and awareness reasons. I work from home 8-5 pm , so your pups are always getting around the clock care. I also love to walk the trails with the pups to get them and i some exercise and fresh air I have a doggy care kit in my home with necessities needed for all types of pups if needed , i make sure all pups are comfortable in their environment as well as around me so they can trust me in my care . Examples of this are playing outside , bonding with toys and giving them treats *unless directed otherwise * , and even watching alittle tv ! *bluey seems to work because Dogs can actually see the colors that bluey presents , it’s very entertaining to them *

About: I have personally had pets since the day I was born, mostly dogs and cats, but also a snake and hamster, I started pet sitting when I was 14 and have experience with caring for dogs, cats, reptiles, and horses. I know that your pet is a part of the family with a routine, personality, and individual needs so I am very conscientious about owner advice and instructions when it comes to their fur (or not so furry) baby. I love spending time with animals and where I live I can not unfortunately have dogs (I do have two cats though) so I feel the Oppertunity to walk dogs and do check ins on animals would be a fantastic way to get to spend time around them again. I currently work part-time, so I have plenty of availability throughout the day and week to give your pets the time, care, and attention they deserve. Depending on the energy and type of animal as well as owner instructions I adjust my care schedule to thier needs. I either do drop in visits to a clients home or house sit in their home.

Darianna is my go-to sitter for my babies. She is so thorough and always makes sure to cover everything and let me know. It gives me huge peace of mind to know my girls are being taken care of with the same love and attention that I give them. My home is always respected and Darianna is so sweet and communicative about anything that may come up. I could not recommend booking this sweet woman for your pet care more!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Oakalla. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
