“Eliot does drop-in visits with our two wild hound dogs on their long home alone days and is literally the best!! Reliable, punctual, and professional. The dogs are always relaxed when we get home, and even our nervous coonhound feels comfortable enough with Eliot to eat her lunch when she’s there. We get cute photos and a summary of how the visit went each day. Eliot even caught one of our goats who had escaped and put him back in his pen safely. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve been taking care of pets for 25 years. I currently have 7 cats ranging 2 months to 16 years, 2 dogs, and 2 lizards. I groom my own dogs, and administer medications to my pets. I currently check in on neighbors cats periodically and walk neighbors dogs I currently work from home with a flexible schedule and am about to schedule work around caring for animals. I can make myself available around your pets needs I have a fenced in yard and various sized crates if crating is necessary. I also have a large barn and multiple rooms with doors if pets need alone spaces.

About: My first Jobs as a child were farm sitting for my neighbors and working on an angora rabbit farm. I have always loved and cherished animals. Animals have been drawn to me my whole life. I developed my skills going into the veterinary field as a technician, I've worked with large animals horses , pigs, cows, llamas , alpacas , tortoise , lizards , snakes, monkeys, even helped in surgery on a lion. I have experience with medications , injections, transdermal , and oral medications . Also subcutaneous fluids . I also have experience with handicapped animals that may need bladder expressions or need potty walks in wheel chairs , experience with this is work and I also had my own wheel chair bound dog. I'm honest and would let you know if I'm not comfortable or feel qualified enough to take care of your babies I will let you know. I've been in the veterinary field over 25 years. I've worked in general practice , urgent care , and specialty /emergency . On weekends I'm available to house/pet sit pretty much anywhere within Maine and even possibly NH , of course allowing me time to get there . Try me I'm always up for a road trip extra fees may apply . Weekends for me are Friday after 6 pm through Tuesday morning when I head out to work . During my work week Tuesday morning through Friday . If you have dogs that need to be let out mid day , you need to be within a 10 minute drive from Warren ave in Portland . That way I can go let them out on my lunch break . If you have cats only or other pets that do not need midday care I can house sit /pet sit anywhere within an hour from Portland Maine . I can travel back and forth to work but be there at night and morning to take care of your pets needs . Always reach out if this doesn't make sense . Your pets care is priority and I will try to help you out but if my availability is not what is best for your friends I will be the first to let you know . I currently do not take pets into my home , just because I am not here most of the day . I will let people know if this changes

About: I have always had a dog growing up. Currently have a two-year-old pup named Anna K. I also house sit for a friend our mine down the road every now and then. I can be very flexible making myself available. If you can, a couple days notice would be better. But if not, you can still ask! Have tried multiple training techniques with all the dogs we have had, electric fence, leash, a tie-out cable, and some we eventually let out on their own when they are ready. No small objects around, especially as a puppy, try not to feed them anything but their required food.

About: Experience with raising and training puppies, deaf dogs and high drive hearding dogs. I Know lots of brain teasers for mental stimulation. From walks, hikes and playing to training and games, I love spending my free time with my four legged friends. Weekends i am free when not taking care or spending quality time with my own pup. I like morning playtimes and long trail or town walks. Always respect the owners wishes for their pet and any restrictions or limitations the dog might have. I am proficient in reading body language and using "fear free" techniques to make pets comfortable. I am currently working a four day work week, so my last three days of the week are my free time to spend with your pet! I currently do not offer pet care in my own home. However when I am at yours, I will follow your pets individual routine to make your absence as easy on them as possible. Each pet is unique and whatever they need, I will provide!
