“Hershey had a wonderful time visiting Christina P.! She kept in touch with us each day, letting us know how Hershey was doing which eased any worries I might have had and she sent us some great pictures of him!”

“Natalie was lovely! She kept my high energy cattle dog happy, busy, and healthy (which is quite an accomplishment for my pup). She was awesome with sending pictures and updates. I would have her watch my dingo again in a heartbeat. 100% recommend.”

“Susan was great. She was quick to respond to my initial email. We met before hand to introduce the dogs and see her home and then discuss logistics. I really appreciated her taking time to talk about all aspects of our dogs stay with her. Our dog Duke was spoiled. He was able to get out and play with her dog and run on the trails. Susan sent me a few emails to let me know Duke had settled in nicely and I even received photos - very nice! Needless to say, he had a wonderful time. When my husband picked him up, he said that Duke looked like he was one of the family! Thank you Susan (and your family) for providing a very friendly, safe environment for Duke. He loved being with you I am sure.”

About: I currently work as a kennel technician at an animal shelter. I am experienced in handling dogs of all temperaments, prioritizing the dog’s safety and my own safety. I’ve pet sat for many clients. I have taken care of older dogs and young dogs. I am comfortable taking care of dogs of all temperaments. My services include dog walking, playing fetch, and feeding and watering. I am currently a part time employee at an animal shelter. However, I am not be working everyday of the week, or all day. I will have plenty of time to care for your pups in the morning time and evening time. When I do drop in visits, I ensure that all of your pets needs are met, which includes playing fetch or going for a walk, so that they are able to get energy out before their owner gets home.
“They were so fabulous!!! Watched my girl Winnie on my wedding night. They picked her up, dropped her off and were super flexible on what was a crazy day. Would definitely recommend!!!”

“Breanna was fantastic! Our 10 month old puppy had a blast with her! She sent pictures and provided updates throughout his stay! Will definitely keep her in mind next time we are out of town!”

“Marissa is always thoughtful and sweet with my boy, Blue. When we have to leave him, he knows he gets to have a sleepover with his pal Marissa, and it’s like a mini dog vaca for him too. We have such a better time knowing that he’s in great hands!”

“Rebecca was a great fit for our dog Roxy! Roxy doesn’t like to be left alone and loves to go on walks so Rebecca was a perfect choice for a pet sitter. Roxy also loved playing with her dog Congo! We also loved the pictures and videos she sent while we were away.”

“We left our cat with Eliot while we were away. This was the first time we used Rover so I wasn’t sure how it would go. She was professional and didn’t seem to mind me checking in with her. She sent us a few pictures which was nice. Thanks Eliot!”

“Dog and Lola instantly felt comfortable with Alicia. I felt super comfortable leaving them with Alicia after meeting with her. Her and her family are super sweet and you can tell they are all”

“Craig was so great with our hyper, anxious dog! He sent regular updates and photos and was very flexible when our travel plans changed at the last minute. His own dog is so calm, and was so sweet with ours as well. I highly recommend Craig—your dog will be in very good hands with him!”

“Chelsea was a great sitter. Accommodated me at the last second so I could make my out-of-state trip. Took great care of my pup and provided check in’s and photos often. I would recommend her to anybody. 10/10”

About: I've had dogs all my life, grew up with them and has seen all the stages. I currently have a 2 year old dog named Billy. I've experienced all types of energy and personalities. I've taken care of neighbors dogs and have frequently stopped by family and friends houses to let their dogs out, play with them, feed them, and just sit with them and rub their bellies. I currently have a full-time job but have a very flexible schedule which allows me to have Friday through Sunday off. I work the rest of the week 9am to 4pm but can go home if needed on my lunch break. I tell people to always ask regarding my week day schedule because it does change week to week depending what is going on. I don't not have a fenced in yard but I can walk your dog as needed and play with them and bring them anyway if needed to get some energy out. I have different types of mental challenging games for dogs and I have one very energetic happy puppy named Billy that gets along with all dogs and will be your dogs best friend.

About: I have taken care of dogs for to 20+ years in many different capacities including but not limited to daycare, grooming, training, veterinary kennel technician, in-home pet sitting. I have impeccable references upon request that will confirm my experience. Senior/puppy care available. All ages! I am retired and available upon demand. Dogs are my passion and my references will confirm this. I can come to you or your dog can come to me. Overnight stays will be in my pet-safe home. I have a safe fenced in pen for playtime. I live in the country with many walking paths available for the dogs to exercise and I have a large back yard. I live with my Blackmouth Cur rescue dog and our newly acquired Jack Russell Terrier pup. They both love playing with 'fur-friends'. I will closely monitor your pet while in my care as I am retired and stay with the dogs 24/7. Rest assured!
“I felt so comfortable leaving our pup with Stacy for a long weekend! It’s clear how much she cares for her own animals and was so thoughtful introducing our dog into the mix, sending pictures and updates throughout our time away. Our girl was happy and tired - I would absolutely bring her back.”

“Kaitlin and her family were fantastic with the dogs! First, she accommodated a last minute booking when my original plan fell through and accepted with a weeks notice and I am forever grateful. It was clear the dogs were in good hands with multiple updates and pictures each day, I was able to relax and enjoy my vacation knowing they were well taken care of. They even came home with handmade bandanas! I would definitely book with Kaitlyn again knowing my dogs also had a great vacation at her home. Thanks again!”

“I was a bit uneasy at first to use a dog sitting app. 5 minutes on the phone with Matt and I was relieved. We met up a couple days before dropping Brandi off for her first time boarding and Brandi and Matt instantly hit it off and I couldn’t have been happier. Much better than taking a dog to a kennel and one very happy puppy.”
About: 🐾 Need a place for your furry friends to hang for the day? Overnight care? Visiting the area and want a safe place to leave your dog for an afternoon of two? Going on vacation? Regular day care while you are at work? Playtime and exercise? Walking and check/ins? I can do that! 💕 I have two 40lb lab mix pups: Ruby, who is almost 3, and Pax is 1.5. They are both very sweet and love other dogs and people! 🐾 We go on at least one long walk in the woods on our property every day- sometimes adventuring to the river for a dip, or out on the local, less-popular hiking trails. We know all the secret spots ; ) 💕 I love having a dog pack around, and love watching them play and run together. I believe in providing plenty of outdoor time for playing, sniffing, exploring, listening to nature, or sitting in the sun- whatever your dog needs to be happy! I will meet them where they are at to ensure they are comfortable in a new environment. Leashes will be used until we are sure it’s fine to take them off. 🐾 We just got an invisible fence- so if your dog is familiar with that, we have 1.5 acre yard of invisible freedom to roam! Trained in basic doggie 101-we usually have basic manners and recall in practice for healthy treats and affection-especially for puppies- and can provide a crate, comfy couch or bed if your pup needs a space to retreat. 💕 My only requirement for care in my home is that your dog must get along with other dogs and cats. I will gate the stairs to keep some separation, so if your dog is “cat curious” but intimidating, they will all have their own space to relax. 🐾 I work from home mostly, and have a flexible schedule. Pet care is perfect for my lifestyle! 🌲 We are outside a ton- gardening, hiking, xc skiing, swimming- adventuring on our property and in the surrounding National Forest. 🐾 I would prefer dogs that are good off-leash and have good social skills- I will always keep your dog on leash if I feel they are not okay otherwise. I only take 3 at a time the most, in-addition to my own pup. We live on a very private property with an open yard with an invisible fence system- offering plenty of space to run and play. We have a comfy animal-friendly couch and a screened-in porch with a queen-size bed for your pups to nap outside without being “loose”. I have 2 pups who will be happy to keep your pup company! They will be able to go in and out freely in a natural home setting, (as long as they are okay off leash) and your dog will be cared for like our own. If I visit your home, I would typically have my dog with me to play with yours- unless you specify otherwise. Each visit would be an hour of play and affection, outdoor time, feeding, water, etc.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ME ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
