“I hesitate to leave this review, because the last thing I want is more competition for Lauren’s time. 😉 Lauren is a delightful person who engages cheerfully with humans and animals. Our kids like her (as do we), and our dogs LOVE her. Lauren provides drop-in services for us whenever we travel, even when our kids are at home. It’s a way to make sure our 1+yo Goldens get steady punctual attention. Lauren feeds them, plays with them, gives them medicine, and communicates thoroughly with us in words and photos. We don’t miss our pups any less, but we miss them without anxiety. Thanks for everything Lauren!”

About: Since I was old enough to walk, animals have been a loving part of my life. Growing up in a household where pets were treated as family, taught me that every dog and cat has a unique personality and set of needs. I am particularly skilled at reinforcing consistent routines. If you are working on leash training or basic commands like 'sit' and 'stay,' I make sure to incorporate those into our walks so your progress doesn't stall. I am also experienced with senior care, understanding that sometimes a 'walk' is more about a slow sniff around the block and some gentle companionship than a fast-paced walk. My professional life is flexible, which allows me to be a great anchor for an early morning walk or early afternoon walk. I am available Mon-Thurs 5am-7:30am and 3:30pm to 8:30pm. Friday, Saturday and Sundays I am available all day for those walks and check ins that are needed when errands outs or family time takes priority. I will treat your home with the same level of respect I’d want for my own. My process is thorough: I double check that all doors are locked, alarm systems are set, and water bowls are clean and topped off before I leave. To keep you in the loop, I provide detailed Rover Cards after every visit. You’ll receive photos of our adventures, a map of our walk, and a summary of all 'business' handled. If a mess occurred while you were away, I handle the clean up thoroughly so you can come home to a fresh house and a happy, relaxed pet.
About: I have dog handle experience. With all kind of dogs sizes I always owned dogs since I was little. I am a furr mom of two lovely female dogs and a love bird I'm here to make your every day easier with your furrbaby.happy paws happy days Currently looking for a part-time during weekdays I think rover would be a pretty good opportunity to explore and do what I love doggie mom of 2 I have 2 friendly dogs that could be their playmates.Making sure they have what they need at all time . While having good supervision .
“Haley was absolutely great! It was my first time using Rover and she was honestly so communicative that it made the process of leaving my cat alone for the first time a lot easier. I’m really thankful to her and will definitely use her in the future if she is available!”

“Chloe did a great job taking care of my two cats while we were away. She plays with them, takes pictures, is responsive to messages, and her love for animals is apparent. She also took out my trash and brought the bins back in. One of my cats made a mess and I appreciate her cleaning it up. I feel confident Chloe is taking good care of my cats while I’m away. I’ll definitely use her again in the future!”

About: I have over 10 years of experience in pet boarding and looking after the pets of my friends and family. I have assisted in training puppies as well as adult dogs, so I am more than happy to assist in training your animals while you're away by keeping up a specific schedule or regimen. I also have personal experience caring for elderly dogs as well as dogs with anxiety disorders, happy to work with them in any special ways needed. I typically find myself doing a lot of my busy work and essential activities in the afternoons and evenings. For this reason, majority of my availability for short visits will be in the mornings, but happy to discuss other arrangements if needed. I have a large backyard and property that your bestie will just love, if they stay over at my place. I have multiple sized dog beds so no matter babies size they'll have a lovely place to rest their head.
“Janet was wonderful and our pets got along great with her. She had to do cat meds for one of my elderly cats and that went great also. Hard to find a person who will do pet meds, especially cats! She took pics for us which was great also. She is a very nice person and we will have her watch our dogs and cats again.”

About: With over 8 years of experience in caring for dogs and a lifetime of growing up with them, I have developed a deep understanding and love for these furry companions. When your fur baby stays with us, they become a part of our family. From puppies to seniors requiring medication, I have cared for dogs of all ages and health conditions, including diabetic dogs that need shots twice a day. I have also provided assistance to dogs with mobility issues, ensuring their comfort and safety. As a full-time stay-at-home mom, I am available throughout the day to provide constant care and attention to your beloved pet. Although I may need to run occasional errands or drop off my daughter at school, I prioritize being at home to cater to your dog's needs. My dedication stems from having a disabled son who thrives in the comfort of our home environment. Rest assured, your fur baby will have the freedom to roam in our fenced yard, enjoying in and out privileges. To ensure that each dog's unique requirements are met, I make it a point to gather as much information as possible about them. This allows me to tailor their care specifically to their needs, regardless of what they may be. Additionally, I feed each dog separately, carefully observing their eating habits. For the safety and peace of mind of both the dog and myself, I crate new dogs at night until we become acquainted with each other. This helps establish a sense of trust and familiarity, ensuring a calm and comfortable environment for everyone involved. When your fur baby stays with us, they can expect not only the utmost care but also an abundance of love. I take pride in treating every dog as if they were my own, creating a nurturing and welcoming home away from home for them. New customers please ask me for my promo discount of $20 off your first booking on Rover if you are new to Rover. I am a full time stay at home mom. Therefore, I am home all day unless I run errands of picking up and dropping off my daughter at school or doing shopping for the house. Other then that I am home all day since I have a son who is disabled and enjoys being home. I have a fenced yard. So they are allowed in and out privileges. I like to know as much as possible about your fur baby so I know how to make sure I'm caring for them properly, regardless of what there needs are. I do feed everyone separately to see what is or is not being eaten. I also crate at night new dogs always until them and I learn each other.

About: I grew up with dogs of all sizes and raised a labradoodle of my own (she’s 6 now)! I typically dog sit for close friends and family so why not put my services to the public’s use! I work from home full time so your pet will be extra spoiled with quality time and a daily walk on my lunch hour. There is direct access to my backyard via a doggy door however if your dog isn’t trained to use it, I’m happy to let them out to play and potty. Sometimes I’ll even work from my back porch :) I have a fenced yard and one very friendly fun loving dog. I typically take her on a daily walk on my lunch and she would love an occasional companion or two! I have a 10 year old daughter who adores dogs just as much. I’m very lenient, with a lot of patience with dogs and humans lol I have a fenced huge backyard, dogs are welcome inside and out. I have a crate if any dogs need it. Access to food and water at all times.

“It’s never easy finding great care for your fur babies, unless it’s Brooke! Had to find care in a slight pinch and Brooke saved the weekend and also made sure my dog and cat were in great hands. She made sure to send updates with pictures and felt that was above and beyond of expectations. And also thankful for her attention to detail. Great job, great care, and such a positive experience for Soja and Man-man. Would 100% book again and highly recommend if I or others ever need someone to care for their pets! You rock 🤘🏾”

“I hesitate to leave a raving review on Amber because she’s so Awesome that she’ll be high demand I won’t be able to book her again! I seriously can’t say enough about the comfort I felt leaving my fur baby in Amber’s care. She loves on our Miley like she’s her own. She was prompt to all 3 drop in visits for several days in a row. Miley absolutely loves her and my dog’s usually a little timid and scared of strangers. I not only felt very comfortable having Amber take care of Miley but also come into our house each day.”

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
