“It’s never easy finding great care for your fur babies, unless it’s Brooke! Had to find care in a slight pinch and Brooke saved the weekend and also made sure my dog and cat were in great hands. She made sure to send updates with pictures and felt that was above and beyond of expectations. And also thankful for her attention to detail. Great job, great care, and such a positive experience for Soja and Man-man. Would 100% book again and highly recommend if I or others ever need someone to care for their pets! You rock 🤘🏾”

I currently have two spayed Shih Tzus and a friendly Doberman, so I’m very comfortable with dogs of different sizes, breeds, and personalities. About: I volunteer at the Stockton Animal Shelter. Also, I have a Pomeranian chihuahua mix so I’m used to smaller animals. My dog is 14-16 so he’s very old and is becoming more immobile and blind. I’m used to feeding him and helping him around the house. I’m currently working part time so most of my Thursdays, Fridays, and the weekend are completely free. It’s also summer so it’s still sunny after 4 or 5 when I get off of work. I’m very respectful in others space. I will be very attentive to the rules that you lay out because you know your dog best

Constant love and affection would be given to ensure your fur babies feel right at home as if you’ve never left. Hello I’m Melissa a newly FT stay at home mom of 2. I work with many rescues in the surrounding areas to make sure all strays brought home find their forever homes. I do live in a rental so I do request that they are potty trained! Both my cat and dog are fully house broke and getting up in the night for those midnight tinkle breaks are possible since my dog is a senior and needs to go too. I hope that gives you a little insight to my life and allows you to be comfortable in choosing me as your fur babies mini vaca destination. I have a fully fenced decent size back yard with cameras for lots of room to run and get their wiggles out or just explore and sunbathe. I have a large crate if they prefer some quiet time alone just request you bring their favorite bed or blanket so they have a piece of home to comfort them.

“Celestine did a great job taking care of my cat! She went above and beyond. I was very pleased to see how well things went with the Rover check ins/cards and with returning to find that my cat was perfectly okay. Lastly, I just wanted to say she was very friendly to work with, followed the instructions well, and knows how to take care of cats very well. I would highly recommend her services.”

About: Hi! My name is Danica and I am so lucky to have the opportunity to care for your loved ones when needed. I have loved watching over and building relationships with all furry friends since I was a child. My grandparents taught me all there is to making sure our furry friends — ranging from dogs and cats to chicken and bunnies — were well loved during their lives. I’ve had the great pleasure of overnight dog sitting and checking in on friends and families animals, and I believe I can provide the same love and passion for animals to yours! I am a full-time college counselor working from home! I enjoy my breaks and walks in between student calls, so I believe my time and gaps during the day can best fit your schedule. I am flexible with where I work, so I don’t mind keeping your animal company for a few hours before their owners come home :) I would describe myself as a gentle animal lover — making sure your pet has all their needs met and more. I will always honor your needs as the pet owners, and will communicate with you the details of the pet care I provide throughout our time together. I am open to your own knowledge for what is best for your pet and will communicate any suggestions or new activities your pet and I can do!
About: I’ve been around of medium/large dogs essentially my entire life and have provided care to them during every stage of their lives. I posses the confidence, patience, and discipline needed to care for young pets and those in training. I’d love to meet your fur babes soon! I am actively searching for full-time employment, so I have lots of time to play and train with your pets. I do have my own working dog, who has daily needs to be fulfilled. I have a field line Labrador who has a neutral demeanor and typically pays no mind to other animals. My yard isn’t big enough for much other than going potty, however I have a large park nearby for fetch and the neighborhood perfect for walks.
“Cindy & Toan was incredible with Milo! They were so attentive, dependable, and genuinely caring from start to finish. I felt completely comfortable knowing my dog was in such good hands. Milo clearly adored spending time with them. I’m so grateful for the care, updates, and kindness they showed. I’ll definitely be booking with them again and highly recommend their services to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust!”

About: I’ve been taking care of my own dogs for around 5 years now. I have two dogs. One a senior and the other around a year. Both are very loved and cared for as if they were my own kids. I’m currently working part time. My schedule usually fluctuates but I am mostly working weekends rather than weekdays. My work schedule is usually Thursday, Saturday and Sunday but I would let you know if anything changes. In my own home my dogs are allowed both indoors and outdoors. For the most part they are allowed on all furniture. If it’s too hot or too cold they only go outdoors to use the restroom. I currently work full time as a TA. My schedule is Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. Weekends work best for me considering I work all day throughout the weekday. Possibly able to work with you if weekdays are needed. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs that will keep your fur baby company. I can also easily crate your baby if that is your preference.

Lisseth was amazing with my cats, Penny and Stormi. She replaced the litter, made sure they were fed, and even left extra dry food out just like I asked. She kept everything in the house exactly as it was, took the trash out, and was thoughtful enough to leave the key under the mat for when I got back. She even noticed small things like running low on trash bags and let me know where she left the clicker in the kitchen. It’s clear she really pays attention and cares about doing things right. I came home to happy cats and a home that felt untouched. I’d absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, detail-oriented cat sitter.

Nat has been helping us with our senior dog Leo for a while now and we are always happy with how she cares for him. Sometimes, Leo is a bit skittish and will hide, but she doesn’t push him or rush him. She’ll get on the ground with him, wait patiently, and even hand feed him - just to put him at ease and make sure he doesn’t miss a meal. We are very thankful Leo has someone kind to care for him while we are away.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Stockton. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
