“I was visiting North Myrtle from out of state and needed a pet sitter for a day so my family and I could do a tour down to Charleston. Marie was wonderful. She did a meet and greet beforehand, was amenable to a last minute change of plans, and took down our instructions. I would 100% recommend her for any pet sittings needs. Lots of pictures for updates and was on time. Thank you so much Marie. You helped make our trip more peaceful & Emma the corgi loved you for helping her out.”

“Brook is very reliable and my beagle is completely comfortable with her. She also communicated throughout our time away. Have already rebooked Brook for 2 more out of town trips.”

“It was difficult leaving my babies, but with Lee she reassured us and she was huge help! She followed our difficult instructions, and kept us updated with pictures and texts. Definitely be using her again.”
“Our dog Nina is 15 years old and we have never left her with anyone but family. It was time for us to trust a new person and we are so glad we found Jenny. She was slow and calm as she walked Nina. Nina was not nervous which is unusual. It's very hard for us to leave her and confident that Jenny will take good care of her.”

“Marie was great watching my fur babies while we were on vacation. She put some beautiful pictures on the app so we could see how great my kitties looked. I was missing them terribly and Marie took great care of them. I would highly recommend Marie with the job looking after their pets. Thank you Marie!”

“Miranda is very tentative to our dogs and caters to each one individually as needed. This is the second time we have used Miranda services and will continue to do so every time we go away. It is seamless and relaxing as it should be. Thank you Miranda for your kind heart and all you do for our fur babies. Thank you.”

About: I’ve owned large dogs my whole life and this struck a passion in me earlier on to get into the hobby of dog training. I got so good that people even began to ask me to help train their new puppies. Additionally, I also ran my own dog walking business throughout the last 4 years and now that I am graduated I would love to continue working with dogs while I save money for college! Currently, I am free all day every day until I start college in the spring. This leaves me with a completely open availability to help care for your beloved pets! I will follow the instructions given to me by each pet owner exactly as they would like. I treat each pup and kitty with kindness and patience always. With my dogs they are spoiled with lots of walks, treats, and lots of fetch to help them get out their energy and if your pup has some extra energy i’d love to play with them until they are content and tired out! I always make sure to message each pet owner when I arrive and when I leave to make sure they know their fur baby is in good hands!
“We are home and Moose was well taken care of. No accidents in the home and he was relaxed. Sam listened to all are instructions and was very good at communicating with us and giving us updates. Would definitely recommend using Sam.”

“Awesome job!!!……It’s great to go on a trip and not have to worry about your pets well being. Atina provides great daily updates/photos. She took care of our pets as if they were her own. We will definitely be using her again in the future😄👍”

“Jamie was amazing with our pup Charlie! Jamie took on our request super last minute due to a family emergency and was great with communication as well as photos of our pup for extra reassurance!! Thank you Jamie!! Would 100% recommend him.”

About: I have over 30 years experience taking care of dogs and will provide the love and care they need in their new "home away from home". I have a whole house generator so in case of storms, there will be no interruption in service. I am a very active individual and typically walk at least 3-5 miles per day with my little toy fox terrier. I am a nature lover and frequent the area's hiking trails and love to get out on the beach. I prepare my dog's meals using all natural ingredients (whole foods) and make a very healthy bone broth and organic barley. With parental permission I can use this as topper for your dog's kibble. I am a retired school teacher and am available year round. I am basically home all the time when I am not out on the nature trails. I would prefer sitting for dogs that weigh 30 pounds or less. Your fur baby will receive the love and attention it deserves from Caring Karen. I am a retired school teacher and when I am not out on the nature trails walking dogs, I am at home cooking or gardening. Your dog will receive lots of love and attention from Caring Karen. I have a fenced-in side yard and a gated back deck. My house is set back on a wooded lot with lots of shade. I live in a very quiet and safe neighborhood on a private road that is a dead-end. I know most of my neighbors and this is my forever home.
“I am so thankful I found Kathleen! She gave me such comfort since the moment I met her. Winston, my dog loved her as instantly as well. She was super caring and kind with my fur baby. She took such good care and gave me ease and peace in knowing my fue baby was in such good care. I highly recommend her. I know I can trust her! Thank you Kathleen so much again!! 😊💕👌🏽🙏🏽”

“Trina did an excellent job. She had consistant communication to update us and even brought our packages in. You will be glad you trusted her with your fur baby. We will definitely be using her again.”

“My nickname for Abigail is "Dr. Doolittle" because she is absolutely fantastic and has an amazingly uncanny way with animals! On very short notice I booked her to look after my 4 dogs, one rabbit and 3 fish and she took it all on with complete ease and professionalism. I was most worried about my oldest dog Cheech who is a 15 year old rescue with serious trust issues with people in general. Within a day Abigail had him approaching her for pets (basically unheard of for him with strangers) and by the end of her time with him he was allowing her to give him full body cuddles. An absolutely stunning show of trust with her! As for the other 3 pups...they could not get enough tummy rubs, cuddles, kisses and attention from their new friend Abigail and her little daughter Dakota (also an animal lover)! All four pups and the bunny were spoiled rotten with attention and love for the 4 days I was out of town. In addition, she went out of her way to cook up some chicken I had purchased as a treat for the dogs but had not had time to get to before I left. She took it home, cooked it up, and brought it to the pups so they could have their favorite topping on their daily meals with her...she genuinely cares that the animals she is looking after feel safe and secure and loved even though their owner is away! Abigail sent photos and updates during the whole weekend which really put my mind at ease that my herd was behaving themselves and having a ball in the process! I cannot recommend Abigail enough and so look forward to treating my little menagerie to her excellent care in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - North Myrtle Beach
Our girl, Nina is a very nervous pup which is why we could never pick a sitter for her outside of a one close friend. But we moved and I was stressed to hire someone who didn't already know her. Jenny came in and Nina didn't bark. She did not look nervous And walked well for her. Even taking a few treats from her afterwards. Jenny's calm confidence and genuine kindness resonate outward and Nina feels that, she was not stressed when we came home. Thank you Jenny!💞

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
