“Rachel is very loving and dependable! She takes great care and gives special attention to Versace! He adores her visits and I know he is in the best care! She even brings in packages if left by the door! Above & Beyond! :)”

“Danielle was amazing. She came over several days before scheduled to introduce herself to my wife and I, and the kids (our two dogs). After that, she came exactly on time each day and spent time interacting with both our elderly dogs. We was very impressed with her.”

“Lakshmi made sure to understand my foster cat’s needs for the booking and, with permission, introduced her to new things that will help build out her adoption profile. I felt relieved to have someone there to engage a very energetic and codependent kitty!”

“Anna is very reliable and so kind. She is quick to respond and gives great updates. She also sends several pictures of my puppy during her visit, which is greatly appreciated. Anna is very trustworthy and treats my Birdie like her own dog!!”

“Absolutely fantastic care, attention, and communication. 10/10 would recommend. She managed to care for all 6 of our dogs - one of which needed special care as she is getting heartworm treatment, wranglin’ our 2 goats, and even stopping in to pet our cat. Could ask for more out of a pet sitter!”

“She was absolutely amazing with Dani and Kode. Extremely professional! Felipe and I highly recommend and will definitely hire her again. She is definitely the best!”

“Miranda is awesome! My German shepherd puppy is vary wary of new people, and he was best friends with her after the first day. She's made sure he's well exercised, fed, and happy. She is very good about communicating and sending pictures/videos of my dog whenever she visits so I can see how he's doing. She's got a lot of experience so she's been able to give me some pointers/tips that have really helped out.”

“Having Becky drop in was a game changer for our kitties. They were much happier when we returned home after having dedicated attention and playtime every day. She also took great care of our chickens! We will definitely be rebooting if we decide to go out of town again.”

About: I have had many years of animal care! I have been volunteering in animal shelters since I was 16 and have previously walked dogs in Chicago for a few months! Most recently, I was on a volunteer team that helped train rescued puppy litters. I am currently a dental student that does not have the time for a full time job, but will always make time for some furry friends! I live in a gated apartment community with grassy areas within. There are no other animals in my apartment. My area is very walkable and I would love to be able to do so with your pet!
About: I love animals. I was a former foster pet parent. We ended up adopting. We have adopted three dogs and they are our families world. Can’t imagine life without them. I’m able to help with your pet after my work hours and before my 8 hour shifts at the hospital and on the weekends as needed. Would love to pet sit or walk your animals. I love pets and helping when needed. I usually work 8 hour shifts at the hospital.
“Jaxton took incredible care of my animals and house while I was away. I had not been on a trip that long before and usually get very anxious about Mez and Cosmo after only a few days. We were gone almost two weeks and I never worried for a minute. Communication was excellent and it was overall the best experience I could wish for and will definitely rebook with him the next time I go out of town or require pet care!”

“Amanda was great at caring for our fur babies! She even cleaned up a mess one of our older fur babies made while we were out. She spent a good amount of time taking care of them and making sure each of their individual needs were met (our older fur baby gets bullied sometimes by his younger sisters at dinnertime). I recommend Amanda for excellent care of your fur babies! <3”

“Darcy saved us when our sitter cancelled days before we left for vacation. She took very good care of our cat and went above and beyond keeping us updated on everything. I would recommend her to anyone needing their pets cared for!”

About: I owned dogs for 11 years now. I always had 3-4 dogs at a time, ranging from husky, German shepherd, Maltese, poodle and French bulldog. I am working part-time and trying to transition out of my current job and doing pet sitting full time, so I will dedicate all my time to pet care. I am an animal lover. Dogs cats reptiles, always treated them with respect and will give lots of love! I will end up being one of their new favorite humans.
“Ali came over to feed our indoor/outdoor cats in the mornings and change the water and litter for a week. We have a cat clan, and she gave us updates and photos letting us know who was there and anything else that we might want to know. She brought in some boxes that were delivered while we were gone and cleaned up a gift that one of the 1-y-o boys (likely) had brought into the house. Thank you so much for all of your help!!!!”

Rachel watched our indoor/outdoor cats 2x/day while we were out of town for Labor Day weekend. She sent photos and updates letting us know how they were doing, brought in mail and even a food delivery box which she unpacked for us before putting everything into the fridge. She really cares about our pets, it shows and means a lot to us. Thank you!!!

Ashleigh was great! She sent really good and detailed updates about our 3 cats. I loved seeing the photos she took during the visits. She took special care to make sure my shy kitty, Missy, didn’t miss out on food just because she is a little anxious with new people. The pictures she took of her under the bed were so funny 😆 when I got home, the cats were happy and healthy and didn’t seem stressed at all. They give her 5 stars too ❤️

Aaliyah is amazing! 100% recommend her to help you out with any of your pets. I have two weenie dogs and they can be a handful sometimes, but she loved them so well. Aaliyah is a great communicator, punctual, and thorough with her visits. I loved all the puppy pictures during the day alongside her sweet messages :)

I had a last minute trip, and I was so anxious about who is going to watch my babies. She was available with a couple hours in advance notice. She went above and beyond for my babies. She made this trip 1 million times better because I had a peace of mind. I am so glad I found her! I’m very very satisfied.
Cassandra was absolutely wonderful with my girl. She sent pictures and videos which put me at ease. I would highly recommend her to everyone. You can tell she has passion for animal’s and I felt like my girl was in good hands the entire time. So thankful for her. Truly the best!

Ariela and her husband Ryan watched our indoor/outdoor cats over the Christmas holiday, sending photos and updates. They fed them daily, cleaned out the litter boxes and refilled the water bowls. Thank you both for spending time over the holiday to take good care of all of them!

I am so grateful to have found a sitter like Jayce. She accepted my unusual request of watching my pet bunny and she was absolutely amazing with him. She is responsive and professional, and I feel very comfortable with her in our home. She has been great with our dog as well. I highly recommend Jayce if you are looking for someone to take good care of your pet(s).

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
