Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine as a pet owner myself. I plan my schedule around providing consistent care, exercise, attention, and companionship. Whether it’s morning walks, playtime, feeding schedules, or check-ins throughout the day, I enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while their owners are away.

Safety, trust & environment
When pets stay in my home, they become part of the family. I have a secure fenced yard for supervised outdoor time, plus access to a dog park and Trinity River trails for exercise and enrichment. I follow each baby boy or girl’s routine, provide plenty of attention and playtime, and keep owners updated with photos throughout their stay.

Information Elizabeth S. would like to know about your pet
always ask about diet and feeding schedule first—what they eat, how much, and any allergies or sensitive stomach issues. I also need to know if they have any foods that are strictly off-limits or special routines around mealtimes. It’s important to understand their medical needs, including medications, supplements, anxiety issues, or mobility concerns. If a pet needs meds, I follow the exact timing and method the owner provides. I also ask about their behavior and personality—whether they’re shy, energetic, leash-reactive, crate-trained, or not great with other dogs or strangers. This helps me plan safe walks, park visits, and home interactions. Knowing their routine and comfort habits is really helpful too, like where they like to sleep, if they’re crate-trained, and what helps them calm down if they get anxious. Finally, I ask about emergency contacts and vet info, plus any specific triggers (loud noises, other animals, car rides, etc.) so I can keep them safe and stress-free at all times.
A typical day
I keep pets engaged with a mix of physical exercise, mental stimulation, and calm downtime so they feel at home and not just “watched.” At my home, I use my fenced yard for supervised play like fetch, chase games, and safe off-leash time. I also rotate enrichment toys, treat puzzles, and short training sessions to keep their minds busy and happy. For outdoor fun, I take dogs on structured walks and outings to the dog park and to Trinity River Park for longer sniff-filled walks, nature exploration, and social time (if they’re dog-friendly and owner-approved). I balance all of that with cozy rest time, belly rubs, and calm companionship so pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for throughout the day.
