Khloe is a resilient 11 year old that has overcome major medical challenges, including a leg amputation and daily medication routines, and Oakley is an energetic 2 year old who keeps life exciting! Because of my own dogs, I’m no stranger to giving medication (including injections), working with limited mobility or vision, and supporting senior pets with the extra care they need. Whether your dog is a bouncing puppy or a gentle senior, I’ll treat them like family with playtime and plenty of belly rubs. I’d love to help care for your furry friend while you’re away! I work second shift, so I’m available in the mornings and early afternoons to care for your pet! I also live very close to work and am able to run home on breaks to see my dogs. In my home, dogs are treated like part of the family. While I don’t have a fenced yard, I make sure every dog gets the exercise and fresh air they need with daily walks, just like I do with my own pups. For dogs with limited mobility or who tire easily, I even have a wagon that I use to wheel them around so they can still enjoy the outdoors safely and comfortably, something I do often for my senior, three-legged dog. Inside my home, I provide a calm, structured environment. I have two crates available and can accommodate both crate trained dogs and those who prefer to free roam. I always take the time to understand each dog’s routine and personality so I can tailor their care, whether that’s sticking to a medication schedule, providing quiet time, or making sure they have plenty of play and affection. In a client’s home, I aim to follow your routines as closely as possible to keep your pup comfortable and stress free while you’re away. About: I’ve trained several puppies in my life, including my current 6 year old boxer, Bruce. I believe that pets are equals with humans, so they get a spot on the couch, too! We also have 2 cats, Kit and Shrimpy. As for other animals, I grew up riding horses, and I recently worked at a zoo where I handled exotic animals. I would love to take care of your animals and give them the love and care that you would while you’re out! I am a teacher by day so I work a schedule of 7am-3:20 M-F. However, I am free most nights and weekends. I also will be available during the winter holidays and the summer months. I believe that animals are soulful, sentient creatures just like humans, so they should be treated as such! My dog and cats sleep in bed with me, and are allowed on all furniture. I also understand that puppies need constant attention and exercise, so we take our dog on walks frequently.
