“Beth took care of are two wild pit mixes. They have some meds and special food and walking instructions which make us worry a little while we’re gone. But we ran into no issues with any of that. The dogs were well taken care of and Beth updated us frequently. One less thing to worry about during a family trip is so great.”

“Erin cared for my 2 cats and 1 dog for 10 days while I was out of the country on vacation. She communicated daily, sent pictures and I was able to enjoy my trip knowing my pets and home were in good hands. I came home to happy pets and my house was in order and just as I left it. Erin is my go to person and I highly recommend her!!”

“As soon as I met Ashley, I felt so relaxed about leaving my home and pets in her care! She and her boyfriend Eric went beyond just pet sitting, they kept in touch regularly and took excellent care of our home as well. We returned to very happy pets!”

“Rowan has been the best dog and cat sitter we’ve had since using this app—10/10, highly recommend. They’re great with animals, always send photos and updates, and are incredibly reliable and attentive.”

About: I have experience administering all kinds of medication to all ages of dogs. I love meeting your older dogs and have experience helping them navigate stairs and the home if necessary. I am patient and if your dog needs extra accommodation I am happy to provide assistance. I am currently a college student on break for the summer so my schedule is incredibly flexible. I am available for early mornings, late nights, and everything in between. I understand it can be nerve racking trusting someone with your pet, but I am extremely communicative and will keep you updated as frequently as you wish. I have pet sat for multiple families who have always returned to tidy homes and happy pets. As someone who has had the privilege of loving many animals, big and small (snakes, lizards, geckos, cat, hamsters), I understand the importance of your pet.
“CLAIRE was a 100/10!! Her care of our dog was absolutely amazing! He usually is very nervous and gets upset when we are away and he was so comfortable with her the entire time we were gone. It made our vacation 1000 times more relaxing. We can’t thank her enough!”

“Brittany was great with our boys and very easy to work with, from the initial meet and greet through the 6 nights we were gone. Our dogs are pretty big (80 and 95lbs) and they both have some quirky habits, but Brittany handled them with ease. She sent pictures and updates daily, which really settled any worries we had about having a new person at the house. We came home to very happy dogs, and we look forward to using her services again. Highly recommend!”

“Sami did a great job with Duke and Daisy. She made us feel very relaxed by updating us occasionally with texts and pictures. The dogs loved her and we definitely felt comfortable having her in our home. We will definitely book again.”

About: I’m very easy going. I love to take them for walks, get them a pup cup, parks, etc.. If they have meds or a certain diet that’s not a problem. As well as if they have any other specific needs, I will make sure to meet them. You can expect regular updates and pictures if wanted. I believe every dog should get love and attention so I will make sure not to be a stranger to them! Hope they love their tummy tickled too! Let me know if you have any questions:) I work at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, I am part time from 7am-1pm. I do online schooling therefore I would only be gone during the morning/ afternoon. The rest of the day is fully for the pups! In my clients home they have either a fenced yard or a shock collar to keep them in. One of my clients has specific diets and medication for both of their dogs and prefers if they are walked daily as well! (no extra charge for walking ofc). They text me the details or they write on a piece of paper and leave notes. I have no problem following directions, it is better to be more specific though when telling them. And I do send pics and update my clients if asked or necessary!
About: I’ve always been an animal lover since I was little. Throughout college I have done all sorts of pet/house sitting for friends, family, coworkers etc. I have house sat for a family friend that required feeding and watering horses, milking goats, reptile care, rabbit cleaning care, medicating cats/dogs if needed, you name it. I was also an Animal Keeper for about a year with native Illinois Wildlife (including black bears, cougars & bobcats). I am currently transitioning to being a Veterinary Assistant so I am gaining new skills weekly! Currently working a max of 30 hours at my day job as a Veterinary Assistant but recently have been working less. Typically I have Sundays and Wednesdays off during the week but sometimes get another random week day off depending on how busy we are at the clinic. My shifts can vary from 8am to 2pm; 8am to 4pm; 9am to 3pm; 9am to 5pm or even 8am to 6:30pm. The earlier I’m off during the day I am able to help after that too. Your home is their home. I will cater to your pet based on what they like or need. If they just need someone to keep them company I’m there. I will treat your space with respect and follow any instructions given. My pets are family and are treated as such so the same would go for your kiddos.

Akron pet parents share their Rover experiences
Morgan is the absolute best! She stepped up for us and housesat our dog when we had some last minute boarding complications due to our pup’s health, and we may now only exclusively hire her because she is so wonderful. We got daily reports and pics, and our dog was so spoiled by her. She also cared for our guinea pigs and fish and did a great job… would have her back in a heartbeat!
