Paul and his fiancée do a great job with my Husky. My dog normally doesn’t enjoy other humans, and he loses his appetite when I travel. But Paul’s energy didn’t bring any of those concerns out.

About: I have over 30 years in pet care industry. I Have raised , trained and shown dogs for over 15 years. I was a groomer for 10 + years. I have managed an animal shelter and took in many rescues. Pets are my life and love my job very much. I can administer medications including injections. I look forward to meeting new clients as well as caring for existing clients. I am a full time caregiver. My kids are all grown and on their own so I have plenty of time to spend with your furbaby. I have two separate fenced in yards for outdoor playtime activity. I live in a mobile home community. The entire property is privacy fenced backed with chain link for double security. There is plenty of space for all size dogs to exercise. I have the ability to spend one on one time with your pet or group play other dogs of similar temperament and size. I am experience in doggy daycare settings with 20 plus dogs at one time. I look forward to caring for your precious baby the way I would want my own pups cared for. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule that allows plenty of time to spend with your fur baby. All of our guests have a great time during their stay. Please note: If you are 30 minutes or more past your selected drop off time and you have not reached out to us we will consider this a no show. After an hour with no communication your spot will no longer be available. Communication is extremely important as is punctuatality. We plan our time based on your choices on drop off and pick up times. We do not sit around all day waiting for you to decide to show up or not. It's extremely frustrating for us when there is lack of communication. Thank you for understanding. I have a 6ft high privacy fenced in yard. I separate my personal dogs except for a couple that love to play with other dogs. We do not require meet greets. If you absolutely feel it is necessary we have a limited time slot of 15 minutes and will only accommodate if we have the availability. If you are 5 or more minutes late you will have to reschedule. We take time away from our guests and private time from our families to offer this service. Due to most dogs being temperamentally different when owners are present verses in their absence it really isn't a necessary action to determine your pups stay. I will introduce other dogs only when a new guests has become comfortable with me and my husband. Then we introduce one at a time. This can sometimes take an hour or a day depending on the individual. We require dogs to be crate trained as we crate all dogs even our own for feeding, sleeping and if we need to leave the house. We have a family member that lives in our home. He is there 24/7 so your pup is never left alone. I spend as much time out doors playing with our guests as possible, weather permitting. Indoors is more of quiet time. I do allow guest on the furniture so if that is not something permitted at please let me know. Please be aware this is MY home not a public facility. There may be crates set up in the Livingroom for current guests. I provide toys, bedding, crates and bowls. All crates have a water bucket. You will be required to provide food, treats and medications if needed No pick ups and drops off before 5:00 am and after 8:00 pm. Please schedule your dates accordingly. Please try to stick to your requested pick up and drop off times. While I am flexible I do make plans around the times you selected. If you need to change those times please try to give advance notice so I can plan accordingly. Communication is imperative to have a successful client relationship.

About: Hi, I am Becky and I am a lifelong animal lover. I have always had pets in my home since birth. My husband shares my passion for animals and has served as a Vet Tech in the Army. As we have traveled the world, we have watched pets of all ages and sizes. My kids love having furry friends visit and enjoy joining me when walking the dog. So much so, my daughter's first word was "kitten." In our home, we have a beautiful black lab, tortie kitty, and a handful of geckos that live in our backyard. Now that my three children are in school, I would love to assist you with dog walking, cat and dog boarding, and daily check-ins for any of your furry family members.

About: I've taken care of dogs of every kind since my high school days. I love caring for and building relationships with dogs because they are truly like your best friend when they get to know and love you. Currently I work from home and for the most part make my own schedule every day. I am looking to build loving relationships with every pet that I care for so every owner can confidently put their trust in me to bring their furry friends back to me anytime they need me to take care of them. Me and my husband love dogs! We have a doggy park inside of our residence as well as a lovely community of people who walk their dogs everyday I’m sure your pet will meet some friends as we go out for walks and play at the park. Please let me know if you have any special food or any other request that you need me to accommodate to ensure that your furry baby is okay so I can be prepared as much as I can to welcome them into our home. I make my own schedule every day so i am pretty much free Monday through Sunday each week. I will make sure I update the time slots that are booked as clients start scheduling their appointments. All small and medium-sized dogs will be more than welcomed to roam freely around my living room kitchen area and are allowed to sit and lay on the couches as well. The floors are hardwood so even if they have an accident of pooping or peeing on the floor it will be alot easier for me to clean up on the hard floors than the carpeted areas. They will be allowed to come into my bedroom or any other room as long as I am in the room supervising them. I will take them outside to potty every 2 hours timed from the time they arrive until their scheduled time of leaving. You can feel free to bring their favorite toys they love to play with but I will also be purchasing brand new toys that I'm sure your dogs/cats will love to play with.

About: Hi everyone! My name's Shirl and I am hoping to make your life a bit easier by taking away the stress of leaving your pup behind while you're away. I have been pet sitting for over 12 years; I used to have dogs come board with me while owners went away, but I've found that most owners prefer their pets to stay in the comfort of their own home. I have years of experience doing overnight pet sitting, but unfortunately my growing family (3 dogs and a cat of my own) no longer allows for me to stay away from home overnight. I am happy to provide multiple daily visits and/or walks! My goal is to keep your pet as comfortable as possible while you're away, by keeping their daily routine as close to "normal" as possible. I've cared for all types of pets including dogs, cats, bunnies, chicks, quail, lizards, fish, etc.! I am an experienced dog handler/ animal lover at heart. I worked at/managed a doggie day care/boarding facility for 4 years, learning from a very experienced trainer who focuses on positive reinforcement techniques ONLY. During my time there, I had opportunities to complete trainings to understand dog behaviors and body language. I have volunteered at BARCS as a dog walker/foster, working primarily with bully breeds. Why I love dog sitting I have been an animal lover my entire life. From playing with salamanders as a kid, to growing up with cats and dogs of all shapes and sizes; I've also had bunnies, fish, frogs, hermit crabs, hamsters, birds...the list goes on! I couldn't imagine a life without animals in it. My experience administering medication Yes. Working at a dog boarding facility for nearly 2 years I have had to give many forms of medications, and my personal pets also take oral medications. I am not trained to give injections. My full time job allows me to work from home majority of the week. That makes it easy for me to swing by for a visit at different times of the day. The latest drop in I can provide is 7pm. I am happy to provide updates as soon as I arrive, during the stay, and as I leave. For dog walks, I prefer not to introduce any dog that I’m handling to another dog passing by. This ensures everyone’s safety.

About: I don't have any pets myself, but I have lots of experience with them! I used to have chickens for several years, and I've also worked with horses as well. I gained a lot of experience working in a dog kennel, and became very comfortable with all different breeds and temperaments of both dogs and cats. I also have occasionally house sat for friends and family over the years and have taken care of several senior dogs. I love caring for animals and making sure they get the love and attention they deserve, so I can't wait to take care of your pet! Please be advised if your pet cannot be alone for more than just a few hours, I still work a full time job, so some days I might be working an 8 hour shift. My schedule changes week to week, so some days I might be able to stay with your pet the entire day but that will depend on my work schedule. Currently I am not able to care for any pets in my own home, but I very flexible and can care for your animals however you wish in your home.

About: Hi, I’m Sophie! I attended a vocational trade school where I studied Animal Science for three years. I gained hands-on experience caring for a variety of small and large animals, while learning proper handling and restraints, health and behavior, as well as how to safely administer oral and injectable medications. Through my training, I became certified in animal first aid and CPR. I also have experience caring for puppies/kittens, senior animals and pets with special needs, so I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions and maintaining consistent routines. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve grown up with both dogs and cats, and also worked at a kennel in high school, so I have spent years caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Because of that, I understand that every pet has unique needs, and I give the best care and attention that I possibly can. Whether your pet loves long walks, playing in the yard, relaxing on the couch, or simply sticking to their normal routine, we are committed to making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. We will provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is receiving attentive, reliable care. We understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in the care of someone else, and our goal is to make that experience as stress-free as possible for both you and your furry family member! :) Hey! I’m Dylan and I’m a lifelong animal lover with a ton of experience caring for both dogs and cats. I grew up on a farm and have always had multiple pets at a time, so I learned responsibility and animal care at a young age. I currently have 3 dogs and 4 cats of my own, and I love spending time with them—whether it’s going on runs with my dogs or cuddling up with my cats. I’m calm, patient, and always make sure animals feel safe and cared for. I treat every animal like they’re my own, with love and respect. Whether your pet needs a fun walk, some playtime, or just someone to keep them company, I’m here to make sure they feel loved and cared for while you’re away! I’m currently working a full-time job Monday through Thursday, from 6am until anywhere between 3pm and 5pm, depending on the day. I have Saturdays and Sundays off, and occasionally Fridays. Sophie works 2pm to 10pm a few days a week, her schedule is different every week. Since our schedules are opposite and Sophie has a bit more free time, one of us is always available to spend a good amount of time with your pet. The first thing we do when taking care of our own pets, or others pets, is let them out to go to the bathroom. Next, we prioritize feeding and medicating (if necessary) and cleaning and refilling all water bowls. Once everything important is taken care of, we then spend quality time with them, whether it’s playing fetch, cuddling or going for a walk. Before we leave, we make sure we let them back outside for a good while to make sure they take care of all of their business.

Matthew is awesome! He’s reliable, energetic, has such a positive outlook, and our greyhound, Guinness, LOVES his walks with him. He treats Guinness like he was one of his own pets. The notifications with pictures, videos, and maps of their walks are very helpful, giving me piece of mind that our best bud is being handled properly in our absence. Since this can be a source of anxiety for me during my “in-office” work days, I feel much better knowing that Matt will come through when we need him. Thanks, Matt. We really appreciate your help last week!

About: Hi! My name is MaKenzi and I have had pets as long as I can remember, I grew up with two pitbulls rescues, two smaller dogs, and an older cat that I assumed most of the care for as both parents worked full time jobs. Taking care of multiple animals at one time requires a lot of energy and the ability to organize the things they need well but I learned very quickly! Since I have lived on my own I have helped friends and coworkers with taking care of their beloved fur babies while they’re on vacation or just need an extra hand with their pets. In the last year I have rescued my own kitten and I have absolutely spoiled her with all of the patience, love, affection, and extra care that her heart could desire.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
