About: Recently lost my 15 year old girl and am looking to share my pup companionship with others that need help from time to time! I'm reminded of the incredible impact pets have on our lives and look to fill a void from our own house. We reward good behavior, have no qualms administering medicine and have experience with assisting in mobility issues. I am located in Wildwood Crest full time, year round. I do travel for work from time to time in which my calendar will be blocked accordingly. Otherwise, I am open to traveling in a 10-mile radius for pet care! I come from a world of hospitality - I would treat your home as well if not better than my own. As long as I am aware of house rules, trust they will be followed!

Working with both children and animals, I know the importance of keeping a good balance between maintaining a healthy schedule and ensuring there is still time for play, activities & relaxation. This is my current role, so I will have plenty of time to care for your furry friend! I enjoy music, nature, spending time outdoors, staying active & giving a whole lotta love! Activities include: Long walks in nature preserves, hiking destinations and public parks Visiting dog parks (for more social dogs) Playing a game of catch and frissbee (large fenced in backyard) Running, rollerblading, bike riding (especially for high energy dogs) Swimming in reservoirs, lakes and / or the beach (warm weather required) Making sure your dog stays on his / her routine that you've created is essential! About: DOG WALKING AND DROP IN’S AVAILABLE ON CAPE ISLAND ONLY. We still can’t board dogs. Our home is now on Airbnb. But I’m available to walk small dogs or slow:older big dogs. You can get to know me from Reviews and info still listed. ALSO NEW! as of January 19 2024! One of our clients who has left his dog with us many times had an unexpected move and was not able to take his dog with him. He asked us if we would consider taking her. Minnie is super easy and loves other dogs and us…so she is now a part of our family…and pet sitting business. So please consider this as you read below. Minnie is small. About 25#. Spayed. She’s a short haired mix. And will be a part of all Meet&Greets here going forward and for those who will be doggie houseguests with us. (Her photo is the second one in our photo section). We. Love. Dogs. It’s that simple. We care for every dog who comes to stay with us like they are our own. We only take one boarding dog at a time so we can focus all our care and attention on your dog. The house is only one floor so no dog is ever far from us or our generous affection. Sunny rooms. Open windows. Well worn couches and dog beds are available or you can bring their own bed with them. We accommodate crates if your dog uses one. It’s best if you bring their crate with them and familiar bedding with the smells of their home. Our back deck is sunny&shady and the dogs love lounging out there. They can access the fenced-in yard from the deck or living room. Walks through the fields are lush with wonderful smells and DOGS LOVE TO SMELL!! And their walks are far from traffic. NOTE ABOUT WALKS We have 3 acres of open land for a dog to run. But we never leave a dog run off-leash on a walk unless we’ve had the dog several times and know him/her very well. Therefore we cannot accommodate a high energy dog who needs to do a lot of running offleash for their daily exercise unless we have had them several times and trust them to stick with us, We prefer to take dogs that live locally so that we can meet them before committing to a stay. We start with a Meet&Greet. This consists of an hour visit where we get to know your dog and how you care for them. Next we ask that you leave them with us on another day for a few hours so we again get to know the dog and s/he gets to know us. Lastly is a one night sleepover. A full 24-hour stay. This builds a bit of bonding and trust for the dog as well as us. It also solidifies that we all feel confident with each other. There are no charges for these preliminary visits. Most dogs who come to stay with us for the first time are a bit unsure. Though not for long. Dogs sorta “love the one they’re with” and enjoy new company and new territory. But some have terrible separation anxiety. They really can’t adjust and struggle trying to. If this is the case we would recommend your dog stay in their home and you seek out a pet sitter that can come stay in the home with your dog while you’re away. SO ABOUT US! Mike and I are animal-people. We have had a wide assortment of pets of every kind growing up. We remember our childhood dogs as our best friends and confidants. Likewise, our children grew up in the midst of a lovely menagerie of all kinds of animals, that also included rescuing cats, birds, rabbits, turtles, squirrels...and a particular ferret. But of all domestic animals we find dogs to be the most special beings on the planet! Our last little dog Lily passed away early August 2022. We still have a cat that’s outside more than in and is fine with dogs. She was a refugee from the streets of Atlantic City and she comes round for meals and a good head scratch. But we miss all our dogs! Not sure when or if we will get another dog so in the meantime we’re thoroughly enjoying all the dogs we get to care for through Rover!! We’ve also fostered many dogs. Our most memorable fosters were those from puppy mills. Timid and often abused..yet love can change a dog and they eventually became happy souls and found wonderful homes. Our foster-failure Jack...a skinny yellow Lab... who was only 6 hours away from being euthanized when he was rescued by Dick Harris...a man who had a passion for Labs….was special and he was ours to keep the minute he stepped foot in the house. I served on the Board of Ocean City Humane Society as well as volunteered with that local shelter for many years when we lived in Ocean City, NJ. I launched my own pet sitting biz Sitting4paws in 2009 which kept me busy year round. As part of that business we also took dogs into our home as doggy house guests for many who were on vacation in Ocean City or traveling out of town. Many of those dogs came and stayed with us for years. They were like family. (Testimonials from some of these clients are included). A shoulder injury and our move to Cape May NJ put this business on hold. But we are now back in the biz and love opening our hearts and home to your dog. Moving to Morning Glory Farm in 2019 from Ocean City NJ has been a dream-come-true. Our 3 acre farm in the rural countryside of Cape May is an ongoing restoration project. But we're far enough along now to reboot the pet sitting biz and chose Rover.com to be our launch pad in this digital age. Though we’re rural, we are only 2-3 miles from downtown Cape May City. Between us and downtown is the quaint hamlet of West Cape May and the ever-charming Cape May Point. At the end of our road is Higbees Beach which is a free-dog-friendly stretch of pristine coast with hiking trails all through the forest preserve. 10 months out of the year it’s a quiet retreat to walk a dog offleash…but come summer, ITS PACKED!! But if your dog loves to romp with others then pack a picnic, pick up your dog from us and head for Higbees! We’ll hose him off when he comes back. We are quiet people. We don’t even have a tv! Mike is a carpenter and is often working in his shop in the barn or in our large veggie&fruit garden. We are also bee keepers and we sell our own local honey and eggs from our sweet batch of hens. I work our pet sitting biz full-time and I am the primary caretaker of the dogs that are booked with us which includes their daily walking and feeding. PLEASE NOTE! I do not keep my phone on me during my busy days. I check it for text messages, phone calls or Rover inquiries TWICE A DAY. So if you do not hear immediately back from me this is why. I will respond to any bookings or questions before the end of every day, if not sooner. . We also ask that your dog have a collar with ID tag that s/he can wear at all times. Even if their harness has a tag. Also flea and tick treatment while staying with us. Even if it’s only a one time dose.

About: Ive grown up with dogs my whole life. Ive been around dogs of all sizes and ages. Ive had many dogs growing up such as french bulldogs, chihuahuas, miniature pinschers and many more. I’m frequently told how well i am with dogs and i love that compliment! I work mostly mornings for my own cleaning company. So i have some mornings free and afternoons and what better than spending that time with dogs! My house has a very large fenced in yard with two separate sections for dogs who aren’t so friendly with my own dogs! We have tons of toys and are a house away from the beach for nice walks.

Gabriella understands the importance of our dog to our family, and I never have any concerns when I know she is looking after him.
